I loss complete signal. When calling and asked for a service call they were charging $95 that is fine I totally get that. But because it is being blocked by my neighbors tree they want to charge an additional fee to move the dish. That is just BS. If i could rate no stars i would. I called dish today because im looking to switch. The reps name was Patrick. I asked what pricing was for internet and cable bundle. He then asked if i had a debit card at hand and i said i was just looking for a quote. He then asked again if i had a debit card and i said i wasnt going to answer as i just needed a quote. He then said " until you have a debit card available i cant help you, call back when you have a debit card" then hung up on me. I was shocked to say the least. If this is how they treat new customers i would hate to see how id get treated as one. I wouldnt make the switch if I were you. Horrible service. I thought Spectrum was the worst possible TV provider ever until I dumped them and got Dish Network. Sad to say after all the questions and answers I asked for before signing up went out the windows as soon as I signed up. The deceit and lies started. Only had it for two months in a two year contract. Classic bait and switch tactics. Everything just fine until the initial install then look out no service , can't keep their appointments, costs they had confirmed previously are not correct. Modern day scammers. I wish I had checked the reviews first. let me start off by saying I was on the phone for 1 hour trying to set up service Got transferred to a different department just for them to tell me nothing was in the system. So I had to start all over again and that took another hour. Got everything squared away. Got me E- mails for the set up date and no one shows up. I call to find out whats going on only for them to tell me My acct # in in invalid and I'm not in the system W.T.F. Not only that I was bounced around from departments to figure everything out and they still didn't find me in the system what A JOKE DISH IS. Worst company ever. Avoid by all means. Had there service and had it disconnected because it was horrible. Made arrangements to pay early disconnection fee and have been making the payments on time. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Even though you are required to set up a security code, ANYBODY can get online to their chat support and bypass your codes. I've changed my code 3 times in 3 hours, and they're still shutting me off because my fiances son has put our account on "hold" or "pause" (depending who you speak with). This son does not live here, is not authorized on the account, does not even know where his father was born, yet DISH LETS HIM BYPASS! His father is in the hospital and unable to stop him. Fraud Prevention is only there during "regular business hours" so I'm stuck between 5pm and 8am. Don't depend on DISH to safe-guard your account. read more

We switched just two months ago and we have had nothing but horrible programming, equipment failure and our monthly fee went from the contracted $69.00 I $173.50! I m very very very disappointed by dish networks sales representative , we finalized the deal and signed the contract through phone for a price but when I received the conformation email when everything was done and also deducted the money from my account and in the email it showed the wrong package , I called them back and they waisted 2 hours of mine but they said we can't do anything about it and I got very disappointed so I cancelled the contract with them , I request everything for not getting dish service anymore because they are all liars. read more

Not fulfilling their part of the contract with the channels. They removed my favorite channel which was on the list after just one month of starting my contract. Now all I want is for them to terminate my contract so I can find someone who does provide all the channels I like and they don't want to let me go without charging me a termination fee. My service has been messed up and had no service since New Year's Eve ... I called customer service to tell them about it and ask how I would be compensated they told me all the could compensate me was $3.13 Are you kidding me ? Their reasoning was because they were just made awRe if the problem today but the cs rep stated that he saw that I've been having trouble for a couple days. So not only are they liars but they don't try to help and service their customers. I wasn't asking for them to pay my bill off but to compensate me with free movies or a little more than 3.13$. Just upgraded to hopper. They sent me three notices that it would be free. Phone rep tried to tell me $300 or do for that. Had to tell her it was offered free, then she backed down, so watch out there! The installation man, Francisco, was polite, informative and efficient. I like Dish. Just repeat any specials when you call. read more

DISH, although it has the better menu system of the available cable providers, is a rather dishonest company, at least when it comes to terminating their service. I terminated my service with them to go with a much cheaper service (things happen). It was about 6 months early, so there was an early termination fee. The new cable company will pay for the early termination fee, but there was a limited time to get it submitted AND you had to provide the final bill with the early termination fee circled. When I terminated DISH, they totaled everything up and said I would be able to download the final bill with the termination fee listed in 24-48 hours. One week later, I called to find out where it was and the attendant went to first supervisor who said the final bill would not be sent until the returned merchandise was received (at least 2.5 weeks). He then went to a different supervisor who said that it would be generated in 12 more days, and it would take another 7-10 days for me to get the final bill. That's 3 different stories. I can't believe any of them. Moral - Don't pay off the final bill until you get the final bill! I won't be going back to them any more, even when my issues are resolved for the reason I changed. My sister had dish network installed and they did not tell her that all televisions cannot work independently when there are 3 or more sets. When the fix they installed still did not fix the problem she cancelled the service. Dish network is now charging her a $480.00 cancellation fee even though they could not deliver the service that she was sold. Several calls to Management have not solved the problem so I am reporting shoddy practices to the BBB in hopes of having this resolved. read more

I had dish network installed almost two months ago and HATE it. I left Verizon due to cost and crappy customer service. I would rather put up with that than the crappy dish. My router has an orange light I can not get rid of so no internet at home. I called to fix the internet before but the rep had poor English. I asked to cancel services and was going to be charged crazy fees even after 2 days. The rep I spoke with even told me that I should not have been offered their internet because its not that great. I am considering paying the fees to turn them off and reinstate my FIOS tho their customer service is terrible too. read more

do not expect hd tv for free !!!! i felt i was trapped in the deal after the company placed on the dish on my roof and unable to get the hd programming ! he had to connect the cable first then the dish came last, so after drilling to my house and miles of cable cord, i didn't get because of the tree not on my property. the tech was to lazy to take off all the old cable cord left by the old dish tech, he refused to take it off. but only for 99.00 they would come and do it . all cable companies like to take your money, promise your everything and not come through. read more

Excuse my language and I know it's unprofessional but FU** dish network. They do not care about people and they are a heartless company! I called and asked them to take my card off auto pay. The girl I spoke to said "ok, I've taken your card off auto pay". Over a month later, my card was charged at 3a.m. in the morning! Causing my account to be overdrawn! They took all the money I had for the rest of the week to feed my family (3kids). I called and asked to speak to the manager. He basically told me I was screwed, then transferred me to account services. Then, the account services also pretty much told me I was screwed! So, with a $128 dollar withdrawal and a overdraft fee, how am I supposed to feed my family until next paycheck, I asked the jerks?.....Well they said "sorry" guess i can get by with nothing but a "sorry" for the next 5 days?
