We made the horrible mistake of enrolling my wife, who is afflicted with advanced Alzheimers…read moreDementia, at AgeWell PACE. And sadly the stories of abysmal care, lies and life threatening staff and medical care are too lengthy to post. I'm my wife's sole caregiver 24/7 for years and the prospect of what AgeWell promises is/was enticing. They've done more to damage my wife AND me, who is struggling, exhausted and emotionally overwhelmed trying to address her needs that they've added the need for me to file Endless complaints and grievances to help insure they are forced to correct their dangerous conduct. But I'm so additionally exhausted from this added, Hyper-vigilance they've forced on me and the time I don't have to write up these endless issues they have caused and refuse to address as their charter clearly establishes and the laws require. Their staff, since we enrolled, has made a mass exodus. The 2 Nurse Practitioners they use to provide medical care instead of doctors are truly incompetent. Ours has made countless aggregious errors in prescription medication orders that, had I not been alert could have hurt my wife badly. This NP has admitted several times that her memory is failing, yet she's allowed to continue treating patients. And the medical director sent by the San Francisco PACE organization: On Lok, to manage this program is aware of how dangerous this NP is and yet allows her to continue practicing. As I write this, I further realize the extent to which I must enumerate the mistakes and damages done are too much for me to elaborate on here and it's just to darn exhausting. So, instead I will end this by saying that there are many PACE programs in the USA and the concept is exceptional when run properly and professionally. However the Sonoma County program: AgeWell PACE is NOT one of those. It's downright dangerous and I say this with clearly documented proof and corroborated by others, including former staff members. Please, please do not step into another nightmare. As the spouse and full-time caregiver dealing with burnout and witnessing my beloved wife's awful suffering from this insidious disease, I pray this post helps others to avoid a completely unnecessary burden of deplorable healthcare bringing even more upset and heartache brought on by collosally aggregious mismanagement and inept supervisionby On Lok abd DHCS. Management, that produces volumes of problems rather than solving them and delivering on the promises PACE programs make and become legally bound to provide. AVOID this place!!

My son came to Speech Goals for several months and attended a weekly group session with Miss Kathy…read more Kathy is great and creates a welcoming and fun environment for the kids. Each week, she would try and incorporate different activities that would appeal to the kids but still help them come out of their shells and develop their language skills. A lot of exercises would be around finding things around the room and helping the child name it out loud to build their confidence in using their words. There were also other set routines built into the class, such as the hello/goodbye song, playtime, snack time, and then music time. I've interacted with different members of the staff and other speech therapists through Speech Goals since my time here and I've been very impressed with the professionalism and genuine level of care everyone has for the kids that come through the program. The only thing I would wish to change is the level of parental involvement that is required. We came for two hours each week, which was really very difficult to do with a full-time work schedule. In fact, we qualified to come twice a week, four hours total, but I knew there was no way I could commit to doing that. It would be nice if there was an option where the classes were either shorter, or the parent could drop off the child and pick them up when class was over like some other speech programs do. Especially when a good amount of the two-hour block is spent during playtime, where the kids get free play in the facility's indoor play area. There is definitely a benefit in helping kids get their energy out and build their gross motor skills but I'd rather focus the time there on the specific exercises targeted toward his speech and take him to the park after work hours for playtime. But overall, Speech Goals can be a very valuable place to go to to help address early development needs for your toddler. Thank you for the partnership these last few months!

I really liked her approach and flexibility with my strong-willed kiddo. He went from a couple words to little sentences, and we always enjoyed our time with her. She was also so helpful with general parenting questions I'd bring up and so supportive when my son had a tough time transitioning between activities.
