My child attended a couple years ago and at the time the infant room was dirty. I picked up my child every day with dirty knees and hands from crawling around on the dirty carpeted floor. I also walked into the infant room one day to 8 screaming babies with only ONE teacher. She was ignoring 7 of the crying infants, and was getting increasingly irritated with the one she was handling in the kitchen, an area where her view of the other children was blocked. Immediately alarms went off inside my head. I felt very uncomfortable with this teacher which was only made worse after being notified of some very recent (at the time) personal information we received about her from multiple other long term and trustworthy employees.
We met with the owner and requested she produce background checks on all her employees (something daycares should always have on file), but she was not able to produce them. We left the meeting very disheartened and very uncomfortable about returning. Shortly after leaving (much like the other person who gave a 1 star rating), we too received a call from the owner notifying us we were no longer wanted as a customer at the daycare, that we made her feel uncomfortable with our questions, and that if we had that level of concern we should just find a new daycare for our child. We called the State to request they inspect the daycare based on the grounds of not enough teachers per child ratio, and for not having background checks on hand. The person on the phone stated that we were not the first people to call in recent days to report our concerns and that "if I were a parent, I would not take my child to that daycare" as if to give confirmation that we were better off going to a different daycare.
Again, this happened a couple years ago, and maybe they have their act together now? But from the sounds of the more recent 1 star review, it doesn't really seem like it. read more
