Was waiting in line for what felt like forever, meanwhile the staff doesn't seem to care at all. Everyone working here moves at snails pace. It was a busy Friday afternoon & they had 3 ppl on the registers just wasting everyone's time. This lady came in trying to return 10-15 items that she bought online. Instead of having staff help the 8 people waiting in line to check out they would rather have 2 out of the 3 people working behind registers help the lady with her returns, all 2-3 people were literally helping the one lady with the returns. Also I wrote this review a day after so I'm not just mad in the moment.

I looked, and realized he had pointed it out because it looked like it was my style. When I walked in, it was totally just my style. It was mostly dresses, with some pants, jeans and tops, as well as accessories....with a few other gift items. I had a party to attend a week later, and was traveling, so didn't have access to my whole wardrobe, and was in desperate need of a dress. The dresses in 16 Suitcases ranged from business casual, to weekend brunch dress, to evening fancy. I felt the prices were pretty reasonable for the dresses. I did briefly look at the accessories, which I do think were a bit overpriced. Anyway, I found several dresses that I loved, but narrowed them down to a couple of possibilities when I decided to try the dresses on. The staff was friendly and helpful. I found the perfect dress for the party, It was also one that I felt I could wear throughout the summer. If you love dresses and happen to be near Oak Park, I highly recommend that you check out 16 Suitcases.

Extremely Disappointed - Faulty Product & No Accountability…read moreI purchased earrings from 16 Suitcases on July 19th and asked about the return policy at checkout -- I was told 7 days. The next day, I came back because the earrings were clearly faulty (they wouldn't unlatch nor could I get them off the label). I was then told there's a no returns on earrings policy -- something that was never mentioned and not posted anywhere in the store. I left the earrings with the shop in hopes the owner would review them and see the issue firsthand. Over the next 3-4 weeks, I called weekly, left voicemails, and spoke with multiple staff members -- no one ever got back to me. I called again last week and was told the owner would reach out. It's now been 5 more days, and still nothing. I've been patient and respectful throughout, but this level of disregard is unacceptable. The store has both my money and the faulty earrings -- and I've received no explanation, no resolution, and no follow-up. I truly feel I've been taken advantage of. Disheartening experience from a place I expected better from.

Since they have relatively limited merchandise and are often out of varying sizes you are forced to just pick something if you need to return an item. There is a big push to shop local small businesses but the return policy is a big turn off.

Do not enter the store if you are not of Caucasian decent!!!…read more My eyes caught some sneakers that are displayed in the front window so I went with my daughter and husband. There was another customer in there who just got out of the dressing area receiving positive and cheerful comments. Both sales associates were very pleasant to her. Since I carried my daughter who was about to fall asleep I asked my husband if he could inquire if they had the sneaker in a size EU 36. Oh boy that demeanor of the heavier set sales associate changed! Cold and rude she snapped saying that this is a size 6, which I confirmed to my husband. He added, kindly what the return policy is since he already knew that I wouldn't be able to try them on in the store, given I carried my half asleep daughter. In a condescending tone we were told that we can only return via store credit. Check out was cold and unpleasant. Amusing that the heavier set sales associate seemed so pleasant to the Caucasian appearing customer but not to us. I always felt that the Hinsdale community is rather diverse in respect to suburban communities but it was evident that some of the quiet parts are still very loud and obvious. Will not set another foot in this store. All of this commotion and absurd behavior over some cheap Sneakers.

I happily stumbled upon Uncharted as I ventured the strip. At first I was rather overwhelmed and had sensory overload from al the cuteness, but quickly became familiar with the store after doing an initial walk thru. They have a nice selection of clothes and carefully curated items. I appreciate the variety and can see my wallet hurting if I brought my teen and tweenage girls. Last but not least, they had the Swedish gummy pop up selling at a great price. You bet I took advantage of that! I will definitely come back with my girls and maybe a mom's only shopping trip.

Didn't ask if they are closing soon, but could be the reason for their current low prices. Their selection was modern, cozy/chic, featuring more timeless styles (stripes/solid colors/not too many different prints). Reading the other review on here, I do think that they should be more upfront about their return/exchange policies if a customer were to purchase from them. It's easy to assume they are final sale, but I would ask to make sure. I asked if they could put a few items on hold for me, and they said they would for an undetermined amount of time. She also did a good job checking on me while I was fitting. If you're walking by, I would recommend taking a look!

Well, my daughter did not love it and when I went to return it was told, by the same person, that they don't do returns. She said, Just store credit and she could stop in anytime.
