He then tried to put in a rebuilt part vs a new one without asking us what we wanted to do he did work without getting our approval. Then he had the nerve to get angered with us when we told him it was illegal to do work on any automotive vessel without customer approval. He then refused to do any more work, stopped replying to calls and texts, and left our boat taken apart. They never provided us with any invoice or any receipts to show us what they actually did, I think because they never did anything at all and were just trying to take our money. We had to bring it elsewhere to get fixed and it costs us over twice as much as it should have because of the incompetence and unethical business practices done by the Chandlery. We found pieces of the boat that should have been reattached sitting in the cup holders. The boat was left in shambles complete a mess dirty (shoe prints all over the seats) and not put back together. I think they saw 2 younger people and thought they could scam us. There's a reason they aren't accredited by the better business bureau. I'm now looking into small claims court.

Don't let the Chandlery touch your boat, they don't know what they are doing and have horrible…read morecustomer service. During an annual fluid change preformed by the Chandlery, they did not install the oil filter properly, causing 6 liters of oil dumped in the hull of my boat. They apologized and said they would make it right, clean all the oil out and make it new again. Unfortunately after having the boat in their possession for two weeks, and multiple opportunities they were not able to clean all the oil. They tried and said it was the best that they could do, but they simply did not have the equipment or knowhow to clean the oil out. So I requested that we go to a 3rd party to clean the boat, they said fine and I would let them know the cost. I took the boat to a professional boat shop and luckily they were able to get it clean. It cost me over $500 and the Chandlery will not pay for it, saying they could have had it done by their vendor for cheaper. Weird thing is they never even offered. Not only was I over charged for the oil change, the Chandlery will not reimburse me for the clean out. Honestly, I was not upset with the mistake. I gave the Chandlery plenty of patience and opportunity, it is just sad that they will not make it right...and rude about it too. Stay away!

I was lucky to have found Ken and Classic Boat Works. I like that he is a family man and this is a…read morefamily-owned operation. I communicated with Ken back and forth a couple of times via text before I finally brought my 1987 Sea Swirl in and met him. After speaking with him and meeting him, I could tell Ken is an honest guy who doesn't try to upsell you or make you pay for repairs you don't need. Much like with automobiles, I'm not mechanically inclined so I have to rely on mechanics who know what they are doing and trust they won't rip me off. I got the sense from dealing with Ken I wouldn't have to worry about that. He helped me get my boat up and running after it had sat unused for about 18 years. Luckily, he said the motor and most of the boat were in good shape and all it needed was some new fittings and parts and it was up and running. He also fixed the floor in the boat because rot had damaged a section. I was able to take the boat out with my family and let our daughter experience boating on the water. I plan to continue to have my boat serviced/winterized with Ken.

I originally starting talking to Joe over a year ago about getting a boat. Throughout the whole process, he wasn't pushy one bit. When I told him last year I wanted to wait until this year to buy a boat, he completely understood and was very patient. When we felt it was time to revisit this conversation with Joe this year, he worked with us on every detail of the boat to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, while staying within budget. He gave us his honest opinion on certain features we may not need based on the kind of boating we were doing. When we finally got everything finalized, the timeframe he gave us was very reasonable on when we should expect the boat, but it came in a lot sooner which was super exciting. When we went to go see it, Joe had the boat pulled up waiting for us. We went inside and met Tim who was great, and signed all paperwork. Now the delivery of the boat was where he really stood out. Joe drove 2.5 hours to our lake to make sure everything was perfect for us on the boat. To get to our dock, it is super narrow and shallow along with covered with hanging tree branches. Joe was climbing the trees cutting down branches while wearing nice clothes to make it possible for us to get our boat through. While we had accepted a long time ago it wasn't going to be possible getting our boat to our dock due to the narrowness and shallow water, Joe made it possible and showed me exactly how to maneuver the boat in and out. Aside from this, he showed me every single thing about the boat itself, along with going over every single thing we will be doing with it such as launching it, docking, and loading onto the trailer. Truly a 5-star service all around. We are looking forward for a great summer with this boat. If you are looking for a boat, I can assure you that your experience here will be top notch.

The second rental was a 2022 Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 DLX. We had a great time on both occasions. They will hook up the trailer upon arrival and detach upon returning. The staff is friendly and informative. They go over all that you need to rent, operate, and transport your rental. Just bring back the rental clean and unbroken with the tank full and you will have a smooth experience. Pick up took about an hour and returing took about 20min. I will be coming back here when I need to rent another craft. I highly recommend this company.

When ever I have a problem with my boat they come out as soon as their schedule lets them and they work on my boat on my hoist relieving the stress of trying to get my boat off the water with out something else going wrong, putting it on a trailer and taking it to their shop. We've rafted twice more with All-Outdoors since my last review - Goodwin Canyon in October 2022,…read moreand then Middle Fork American River again this past month (both 1-day trips). The last time we rafted Middle Fork American was on a cold, gloomy, drizzling day in October 2019 - so we had to give it another go in warmer weather. This time around was just as memorable. Two of us in the boat ended up falling out in the water at Tunnel Chute, which happened so fast that I barely knew what had happened - thankfully, there was a nice calmer stretch of water right after through the river tunnel, so we were easily able to get back into the raft. (Thank you to our guide, Troy, for hauling me back in, and for being an awesome guide in general!) Plus this was one of the photographer spots, so the action was all captured for us to laugh about later. Later, after our tasty sandwich picnic lunch, we had a few unexpected events happen, starting from the portage down Ruck-a-Chucky Falls. Shout-out to all three guides in our group - Troy, Shea, and AJ - for handling things so calmly and getting us all back where we were supposed to be! We had plenty of calm stretches floating down the river as well. The canyon is beautiful and quite peaceful. We saw a ton of dragonflies flying above our heads, masked ducks chilling on rocks and diving underwater, and wild grapes and blackberries growing alongside the river. We'll be back again for another trip with All-Outdoors! Maybe we'll try a 2-day or 3-day trip next time.
