It was our first time at this course, and most of our first times playing disc golf ever but the people here were all super nice and welcoming. The parking situation was kinda hectic with no dedicated lines for the cars so it was park where you can and two small lots. There's a little building where you can purchase the tee-time wristbands bands and rent/buy discs. I had no idea there were different discs like clubs, we rented a driver, mid-range, and a putter, which were thinnest to thickest respectively. ---- Pricing: - All day play wristbands $6 weekdays/$8 weekends and holidays - Rental Discs $2.50/each - 5 people max per tee time ---- There are 19 holes, with a practice area near the parking lot. The starting areas and the holes themselves were a little hard to find at times, bc they aren't marked super clearly. And some are hidden by trees. They have maps at the start of each hole with the hole denoted by a letter and a sticker, but translating it to real life can be tricky. The discs can get stuck in trees often, and by the building there are these long bamboo sticks that you can you to try and hit them down. Otherwise people throw rocks, shoes, or other discs to try and get them down from the trees. Watch out for wet areas on the course. As I was walking towards my disc I stepped in a muddy patch that was concealed by the grass on top of it and my whole foot sank into the dirt. ---- Overall: despite leaving with a dirty and wet foot, I had a great time, it was quite busy considering it was a Friday after midday, but you can spend a good amount of time here with friends or solo, affordable activity and fun

Got into disc golf recently and i have heard great things about Morley…read more Took a swing by the disc golf shop and was acting like a kid in a candy shop with a sweet tooth to fulfill I was in awe looking at the rows of amazing discs that the store had to offer I picked up a saint pro after my first round to compensate the lost of a driver ( thank you to the honor system it is back with me :) ). Have a good time with your friends here and don't be shy to yell FORE and CLEAR!!

loved everything they offered at this park. the best part was there was no admission fee. so great…read moreexperience our overnight stay in san diego and able to walk around this beautiful park. such great architecture. we werent able to venture the whole park but gives us a reason to come back ! highly recommend. prepare to walk use some good comfortable foot wear. i wore sandals and it was tolerable. make sure to bring water. we didn't necessarily need too as we only stayed for at least an hour and a half but i didnt see drinking fountains or anywhere to refill so id consider. depending on the time, you do pay for parking. it also depends in where you park so pricing varies. i noticed that there was a lot of runners here to! might come by to do a fun run one of these days when im back in town overall fun experience. would definitely come back and explore more!

It is the most picture perfect spot and I really enjoyed walking around here. My favorite spot was the reflecting pool in front of the Botanical Building. It is so picturesque and peaceful. I even spotted a cute little turtle right by the pond. Visiting Balboa Park was a wonderful way to spend the day exploring. It is definitely a spot where I could easily spend several hours . It's an easy walk that can be done in an hour or so ... more if you stop and enjoy the desert species along the way. More adventurous, there are dozens of other trails of varying degrees of difficulty in the canyon. Best place to park (free) is across Park Blvd at the San Diego Zoo.

Hmmm, a whole week of drinking beer at craft breweries all over San Diego County? Oh Hell yeah! While in town, I spent almost as much time trying to explore all the great outdoor places SD has to offer as I did exploring the beer scene. Almost (priorities). After reading reviews from a few Yelp Elite friends, I became interested in checking out Florida Canyon. I rolled out here on a warm Thursday morning. Having really gotten into trail running this year, Florida Canyon seemed right up my alley. It's a compact area with a good number of trails that zig & zag up & down both sides above Florida Dr. Though I only ran 2 miles, I still worked up a serious sweat. It was the heat. It got a lot warmer here than places I usually run up in NorCal. By degree of incline, the trails are moderately challenging. The trail surface itself is mostly smooth. No need for hardcore trail running shoes, street running shoes will do fine. After my quick run, I rehydrated with as much water as I had with me, which wasn't enough. It was obviously time to supplement my fluids with beer...

This will definitely require you to give your pooch a good rub down with a wet cloth afterward, something that I don't really mind doing so long as my girl gets to run around and explore. It should be noted that this park is *NOT enclosed*, making it's proximity to Florida Dr. a perilous one. So, if your dog is prone to wandering off, this is probably not the best park for you. I can get over the lack of grass, fence, seating, clogged doggie water fountains and open ditches because there are plenty of poop bags and shade here and there. Plus, the surrounding trails nearby make for an enjoyable stroll. And my girl definitely loves to walk rather than socialize with her kind because she's a grumpy old woman who enjoys the company of her owner. No complaints there. I'll still stop in here and there, although Balboa Park and Grape Street are definitely better options.

Recently my Cross Country team and I have had two races at this park and they were definitely two…read moreVERY different experiences. The first time we raced I ran a 5K on a very hilly course. While the course was definitely a excruciating experience and would still say the experience overall positive since the course was fairly well maintained and the commentator was very enjoyable and enthusiastic. Unfortunately my team's second race wasn't as positive. Our race was cancelled due to heat which was disappointing. Though I will say it was fairly impressive how quickly the volunteers were packing up the course. Finally, I would like to mention that the bathrooms were very disgusting and I can see why even with these bathrooms the nearby port-John's were still way more popular. The park overall was fairly clean and had several different attractions so even though I had some negative experiences I would still rate my experience four stars.
