Going through a divorce is already extremely hard as it is. I only encountered this woman one time in person. I was invited to a Mom n Muffins event for Mothers Day back in 2022. I waited until someone was able to grab her to give me permission to enter the building. When she saw me she appeared to be in a very bad mood she was not happy to see me. Before I could say anything she said," wait here I'll see if I can get permission for you to be here." I smiled and said ok. She came back and didn't say a word to me just opened the door and lead me to my daughters classroom. Upon leaving I asked her if I could talk to her, and asked her if she had a copy of our current court order. I was shocked with her behavior she was nasty, rude and started telling me she was not going to listen to me talk about my ex husband. At this point I asked her if she could bring someone else in as I didn't like the way she was treating me she said no and continued to talk about Brian. Her behavior then escalated when I firmly said I was not here to talk about Brian and asked her why she was bringing him up? I had to quickly end the conversation because I was shocked with her anger and outburst towards me. I then sent an email to Donna the owner at that time, because I could not believe this woman's behavior. Donna called me and apologized for her behavior and expressed that no parent regardless of the situation should ever be treated this way. And assured me that this would not happen again. However, I later found out that Laura Carter made false statements about my character to our GAL as well and continued with her lies. But, it did not stop there she continued to make up additional lies to our custody evaluator when interviewed of things I "asked" from the staff which are false. I am not sure if she realizes the extend of her lies and how they can greatly affect lives and the damages this has caused to me and the lines of my children. This is absolutely not ok. It is beyond me that someone like this would still be in a leadership position in childcare facility where families place their trust and care on these individuals and who promotes the best interest of the children and families. I hope that no other parent experiences what I have experienced with Laura Carter. I have no idea why she has felt the need to defame my character. And it is my hopes that no other parent should ever experience what I have with this individual. This facility had a camera located inside her office. If the camera has an audio we could see and hear how this woman spoke to me and her awful treatment. I would never recommend any of my Naperville friends and family to this facility not because of the teachers they were all sweet and very kind to me, but because of LAURA CARTER. The teachers are stressed out and its only about the money for the owner. They make you give 30 days notice if you want to pull your child from the school if you don't give them 30 days notice in writing they will charge you for the next entire month!

Our older daughter has attended Cosmic since she was 2 years old and has had an amazing experience…read more We toured and interviewed several Montessori facilities in the area and chose Cosmic because of its unique layout and beautiful grounds. The first thing you will notice when you walk into the building is complete silence...no kids running around and shouting. Everything is very orderly and calm. The children are usually busy with their "work cycles" and they truly love the structure that Cosmic gives them! Our daughter's vocabulary exploded within a few weeks of starting class simply by talking with the other kids! We had been struggling with potty training and she got it down within a month after encouragement from her classmates! She is now in the 3-6 year old classroom and can count to 100, recognizes basic words, and loves to help us cook at home with her plastic knife. She also loves talking about what she learned from the "big kids" in her classroom. The staff are all wonderful to every child, even those who are not in their classroom. Every teacher in the building knows our daughter and get so excited to see her when we drop her off. She was taught by Ms Mayra in the Harmony Room (2 year olds) and by Ms Namita in the Journey Room (3-6 year olds). We have had nothing but positive experiences with both. In the Harmony Room, we received daily emails at the end of each day reporting what she ate and her bathroom activity, along with any comments (ex. "She made a new friend today!") and daily pictures from her activities in the classroom. It has truly given her confidence and fostered her sense of independence! They try to take the kids outside for a bit every day - this is aligned with the Montessori curriculum - they only skip outdoor time if the weather is too bad. They hold seasonal activities such as ice cream social in the summer, weekend trip to Morton Arboretum in the fall, picnic in the spring, etc. which is nice for us parents to meet each other. They also have holiday events such as Valentine's exchange and breakfast on Mother's Day. We love it all! If you are hesitating on whether or not to send your child to Cosmic, just do it! We had heard many good things about St. Lucia both from family and neighbors so I decided to drop in to check it out. The principal, a former student of the school, was very welcoming and informative. I went home with the hope that my hubby would also agree that this school would be good for our child. We decided it would be worth a shot and enrolled her this year 2012-2013. The school has been nothing short of amazing. The classroom sizes are reasonable and the staff is very committed. My daughter is already reading half way through the school year. They have a great parent organization that is very involved and plan great events for the school and the community. All in all I hope we can keep my daughter here and we also hope my son will attend this school when he reaches school age.
