Bought 4 Michelin Defender tires. Had an appointment. Truck went in about 15 minutes after appt. time. Was ready about 15 min. later than what was quoted but was still about an hour for 4 tires and balance so I was very pleased. Most places if it goes in within an hour of appt. your doing great. I like that the mechanic brought it out and quoted pressure and lug nut torque and they did not break any sensors like Fstone did. I'll go back. Would give 4 stars but service rep did not mention the 60.00 discount alignment coupon I was promised at appt. scheduling and I forgot to ask so probably a trip back to pick up coupon. After a very bad experience with Costco Tires (who made it next to impossible to get my warranty honored on Michelin Tires that lasted only 30,000 of 60,000 guaranteed miles), several of my friends pointed me to Discount Tires. Amazing service! I had a very large nail in my tire and was really stressing about getting it fixed. Sam's Club (where I got my tires) told me that they didn't have time to fix or even look at my tire because they were fully booked for 1 week! I made an online appointment at 8am for 9am and they took me right away. They were very helpful, as they could tell I was nervous about whether they could fix it or not. I was there about 35 minutes. They fixed my tire, put my spare back, and made sure all of my tires had enough air in them! The best part, they did this FREE of charge. I will definitely be using them in the future. I have purchased multiple sets of tires over the years at discount tire. This is my latest adventure. I ran over some nails in my one year old truck with the original tires. I went to a different vendor on the other side of town who informed me the tire could not be repaired but they could replace for $200. I asked them to put the spare on and after the holiday I went over to discount tire. I was ready to buy four new tires at discount tire--They looked at my tire and said those nail holes can be repaired. They repaired/patched the nails at no cost, and put the spare back under the truck. Who could ask for better service. read more

Yet another problem with this company. First, the location in Spartanburg on Blackstock Road, and now this location. This time it's my husband. We dropped his work van off today at 10:30am to have a 60,000 mile service done. At 6pm he hadn't received a call that it was ready so he called them. They say "Oh yeah, it's ready. We close at 7pm." So we leave to go get it & we're there by 6:30pm. Lo & behold the van is NOT ready. They hadn't even taken it for a test drive. They take it for a test drive & come back & pull it into one of the garages. We still.sitting here waiting on it at 7pm! This will be the LAST time either one of us will use Firestone for personal or business related service. read more

I purchased four tires online and scheduled an appointment to have them installed at the Wade Hampton store. When I arrived the associate went out to look at my current tires and he told me I only needed front tires. He explained that because the car is front wheel drive the front tires wear twice as fast as the rear tires. I spent half the money I expected because he sold me what I needed, not what I purchased. Called 2 different times. First time got a quote per tire for my vehicle. Next day I called and ask the sales person that answered the phone , what was the total price per tire. He quoted tire $138.00 and I ask him if that was all and he said yes. I made an appointment for 11:30 for the same morning. After the tires were installed and they called me up to pay my bill, that's when they told me about the $16.00 per tire charge for mounting, etc. Total misleading and hidden charges that were not told to me up front.. Of course it's after the tires are mounted that I found this out. Talked to the manager and he said I should have been more specific in my question. I told him that I had ask the guy for the total price per tire and that should have covered any cost. He acted as if it was my fault for not asking the correct question. Needless to say I won't go back and I own several vehicles. Too many other tire shops that state you the entire cost , especially when you have ask. What can I say. Pulled up the review for a competitor as I wanted to give some local owned company my business. After looking at the negative reviews while sitting in the parking lot, I looked elsewhere. Discount Tire was fairly close, I looked at their reviews on Yelp. Well, based on those, I chose Discount Tire. Glad I did. I need a slow leak fixed as it kept lighting an indicator as to the right rear tire leaking. I tried unsuccessfully to adjust the pressure and clear it. Discount Tire, checked and found it was the left rear causing my issue. The truck was confused as to which tire was where. I needed my tires rotated and balanced, which they completed in about 30 minutes, repairing the leaking tire and correcting the sensor issue. I paid for the rotation and balance and they repaired the tire for free. I was expecting to spend an hour or 2 there. I was pleasantly surprised at how quick they completed the job. The employees were very friendly and professional. Next time I have a tire issue, I'm going there. Good job guys! read more

They put tires on my car and my husband's car and sold us on their warranty; however, they do not stand behind their work. My tires wore out at half of when they should have and my two front tires were down to the belt in a very quick amount of time. When I took it in they said this was because something was wrong with my car. So, I took my car for service before replacing the tires so the mechanic could figure out what was going on. The problem: DISCOUNT TIRE - they put different sized tires on the left and right sides of my car. When I questioned them about fixing it they only want to prorate the value for replacement. I wouldn't need to replace them all if they'd done it right the first time. read more
