I've been going to Telle Tires for over 8 years with great service. Everyone was always so…read morefriendly and always got great service. 8 months ago I started getting a 'check fuel cap' scrolling on my trip line on my dash. I tried all the regular fixes like tightening the fuel cap, but message was still scrolling. When I went in month's ago for an oil change Luke told me it was probably the Purge Valve but I could wait until my tags were due and needed an inspection. I made an appointment with Sid explaining check engine light intermittently comes on with the 'check fuel cap' message. He told me they would charge me $219 for a diagnostic. I said I don't need that, I know what the problem is. He was rude and didn't care what I had to say and I made an appointment to drop the car off on Wednesday 9/2. I went in at 9;45a to drop my car off and I met Sid. He was I just as rude in person. I told him I don't need a diagnostic because I know what the problem is. He wouldn't listen to me, he said thats not how we do things. I said why would I pay your $219 dollars to tell you whats wrong, when I'm telling what's wrong. He then said supposedly thats whats wrong, he kept talking down to me like I was a dumb woman. He then didn't want to talk to me anymore and the manager Jeff came over and was immediately was very condescending. I told him I didn't want a diagnostic I knew what the problem is. I said cant you just replace the Purge Valve and see if that resets check engine light. He also said supposedly thats wrong, it could be this or that and we need to run diagnostic that is policy. I said cant you just replace part, he said we don't do that. Jeff said Ill take $100 off. I was so upset and should have just left with my car. My ride came so I just left. I called 4 hours later and Sid answered said they haven't even looked at it, he again was not friendly or helpful. Dennis called me back a few hours later. Dennis was so nice, he a always is. He told me the Purge Valve needed to be replaced, exactly what I said but they wouldn't listen. They had to order part and wouldn't be done till the next day. If they listened to me at 10a they would have it done that day. Dennis called me around 9a and said the car was ready. I was going to talk to Jeff but only Dennis and Luke were there and they have always been nothing but nice and helpful to me through the years so I didn't want to unload on them so I paid the bill and $119 Diagnostic charge. This has really upset me because I always told everyone to take there car to this location bc they can be trusted, that they are honest and do great work. This review is solely on my interaction with the new Manager Jeff and employee Sid. It have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dennis, Luke, and the mechanics. I felt taken advantage of and dismissed. I drove out of the way to go to this location because the employees were so nice, helpful, professional and always provided excellent customer service until this day. You just lost a good customer. Telle failed the rear brakes saying they were below a1/16" and that they looked like the originals. They quoted him $700 to replace. Was it an inexperienced tech, or a way to get revenue because they don't make money on inspections? Either way, we won't be back!

The tire was patched and replaced. Ok, good My issue is that there seemed to be total disregard for my vehicle. When I got back in to leave, the steering wheel was absolutely filthy, caked with dirt. Yes, auto mechanics hands get dirty, but I've never seen anything like that. The compartment in the back of my vehicle where the tire tools are stored was left completely open, the lid kind of thrown into the back of my car instead of just putting the lid on. Then the cover for the hole where the tool is inserted to lower the spare was missing. I went back in and they did eventually find it after about 10 minutes of looking. I am glad the tire was fixed but just seems like they should be more careful with the vehicle.

They had good reviews, so I felt like I wouldn't be sold a bunch of "extra bs" because I am a woman. I was a little shocked at the price of an oil change on my vehicle ($150+) but because I had waited so long, that's on me. The waiting area is nice and comfortable, with clean restrooms. After my service was complete, they brought out my paperwork. According to them, my passenger axle was "busted", I needed all new tires and all new brakes. I just paid for my oil change and told them I would have my regular mechanic check everything out. When I went to check my paperwork, I noticed they had charged me for someone else's service! My regular mechanic also just replaced my brakes two months prior to this, rotated my tires and examined the tread, and then checked the supposed busted axle and found all of them to be fine and in working order. I'm not saying I wouldn't go back if I needed too, because the staff was friendly and respectful, but it is not going to become my regular shop.

This is a review for Tire Choice #936 (1250 Old Orchard Center). I had been going to this location…read morefor many, many years and, until the past two years when they seemed to have retention issues with employees, I had received great service/experiences. The first issue was when I contacted them for a specialty service and they quoted me $800. I called three other service stations in the area and received quotes for the same service between $300-$400. The second, and most important, issue I encountered was in Dec. 2025. After doing a lot of research on pricing, rebates, and interest-free options for a new set of tires, they had the best "bang for my buck" and I purchased a set from them in Dec. 2024. I left my car the day before with a note that stated the services needed and that this was to be interest-free and I would be receiving $300 in rebates. I received the rebates, but not the interest-free; which I did not find out until the twelfth month when I went to the credit card website to make sure I had a zero balance. I didn't so I paid it off. But then I thought, "If the transaction amount was under $1,000, I should have only made 10 payments, not 12.". So, I started looking at all of the statements and noticed I had been charged interest monthly. When I called the credit card company on Monday, December 29, 2025, it was stated to me that they were not able to refund the interest of $164.20. However, if I had contacted them after the first month, they would have been able to fix it. I had set the account up with auto payments on my first bill and thought the whole purpose of auto pay was to not have to worry about making payments or checking statements. Also, I did not think it would be necessary to check the statements as it was stated in a note and verbally during checkout this was to be a 12-month interest-free purchase. When I made the first payment, there was no interest. Then, I called and left a message at the store, but nobody returned my call. So, I sent a certified letter to the credit card company with all the information to be reimbursed and they only credited back the last two interest rates totaling $28.43. Seriously?!?! To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I contacted the store again and this time was able to talk to someone. They told me that it was the person who completed my transaction that made the mistake as they have to click the interest-free button. This employee said that he didn't know why the other employee didn't hit the button because he always does. Apparently, this was supposed to make me feel better. It did not. Again, told nothing they could do. I say all of this for 1) to get it off my chest - it really ticks me off to lose $130+ especially when I'm on a budget, 2) if you need any specialty work done, get several quotes, and 3) make the employee show you at the time of checkout that they've done the simplest task ever given to a human being and pressed the interest-free button. Thanks for listening.
