Wednesday I was experiencing low pressure in my rear driver side tire for the second time this week, after putting air in it that morning so I took it to discount. Upon the initial inspection they discovered a nail/screw which is was not surprising given I drive my car daily. So much so that I have the certificates on each tire offered by discount (a protection plan). They said it was repairable but after repairing it and testing it, it in fact was not repairable so I needed an entirely new tire. I was also informed that one of my wheels was bent as well, this however was not the same tire with the nail but they showed me how it was causing bouncing or an instability in my ride. We looked up the cost of replacing with the same wheel I had and it was completely out of the question. I opted for four completely new, different, reasonably priced wheels. I left my car with them as they had the wheels on hand but not the tire. I went to the movies and about six hours later, my car was finally done. Although it took longer than anticipated and cost way more than intended, I really appreciate their help in getting me back on the road. Jaelen was very kind and did everything he could to ease my worry. Their restrooms were clean and they offered cold bottles of water. However, I wish I had taken my old wheels, maybe I could've found something to do with them to offset my cost. read more

I had a blowout on my recently purchased SUV with new dealership tires. I got lucky and exited the interstate right into this Discount location parking lot. Matt was honest and upfront the location of the puncture on the sidewall required the tire to be replaced, but he recommended I call the dealership to see if the tires were still under warranty from them. He helped me out to change my tire over to the spare free of charge and said if the factory tire warranty could be beat by discount to let him know. Very transparent service and overall quality. High Pressure Sales Award Goes To... I came here with my old Ford Ranger because 1 tire had a slow leak. While there, the guy convinced me that the tire needed to be replaced, ok fine. Once I agreed, he convinced me that they really needed to be replaced in pairs. I explained that it was an old truck, I didn't drive it much, and just needed to do the minimum. He basically threatened my safety and made me feel like a terrible person for not replacing both. Ok fine.... Replace both. After waiting 20 minutes, the guy came back and said that after looking deeper, he saw that one of the remaining two tires needed to be replaced. Again, with the threatening my safety ... Guess what, ended up replacing all four tires on my $2000 truck that I only drive to haul things. These guys milk every damn penny out of you and make you feel like crap if you don't do what they say. I don't think I've ever experienced as high pressure sales people in my life. Do These Guys Even Care? I left the store, and noticed a strange noise, that got progressively worse as I drove down the road. I have no idea why I didn't connect the noise to the tires I just purchased, but didn't. I ended up taking my truck the next day to my family mechanic. The right front wheel was about to fall off! My mechanic told me that it was a miracle if didn't fall off on my way there. read more

We stopped by to get our tires checked, you know the pressure drive up free service they have. We happened to pull up at 5:50pm, again realizing it's almost closing time and all we needed was a pressure check. The two employees standing by the door, on their cell phones see us parked there, continue to fool around with their cel phones and finally walk towards the car by this time it's now 6pm and the guy says "we're closed we close at 6pm" and walked away. Excellent experience. I needed to replace all 4 tires on my minivan as they were pretty worn. I ordered online at the discount tire website. It's very easy to use, it will ask make/model/trim of your vehicle and give options based on that. I bought 4 Goodyear tires at a good price and set an installation appointment for two days later. I received a call the day before my appointment to confirm my tires were in and I was set for the next day. I arrived about 5 minutes before my appointment time and it was pretty busy ( Saturday morning) but they had a bay already reserved for me. All in all, I was out of there in about 35 minutes. I'm very glad I didn't have to drop my car off and come back a couple of hours later like some places make you do. The guys there are all very friendly, professional and polite. YOUR TIME AND MONEY ARE NOT VALUED AT DISCOUNT TIRE! I used to trust Discount Tire with all of my former and current vehicles but not anymore! After already paying, an employee tried to convince me that I didn't need the tires that i purchased for my vehicle due to them being out of stock and tried convincing me to agree to get a, "cheaper but better option." After a while, my originally purchased tires were, "found in the warehouse." 1 week later, when I had an unrepairable issue, we weren't told until 3 hours after waiting for a replacement tire that the tire was not in stock. I was told I would be receiving a call before the end of the day but I never received an update and didn't get a call back. It wasn't until the day after that I called to ask for an update on my order that I was told, "you tire just rolled in here." I feel that neither my time nor money are valued. They were busy, but I was greeted right away and an employee came to check in with me as soon as he was available. He (Miguel) inspected all the tires, the windshield wipers, and the spare and then gave me the run-down. I felt cheated. I went in to get my air checked/filled and I knew I had a flat. I had every intention to go up the street to Sam's, where I had a membership, to take care of that. Discount Tire said to park and they'd take care of it though. So I was told they'd fix it up for me, and I inquired on the price, and they said no charge. As in $0. As in FREE. So that's fine, I'd save some money on this. I NEED to budget my income accordingly and I can't deal with "surprises" as I live paycheck to paycheck. I waited about 45 minutes and I'm told I have to pay $60+ for a replacement. UHM, could you have at LEAST asked first so I can decide if I even wanted you all to do it? Or at least check my bank account to make sure I can even afford it!? I've paid on average $30-$35 for tires at Wal-Mart, how on EARTH does a tire here cost double!? My jaw hit the floor. I absolutely would have rather driven the extra quarter of a mile up the road to Sam's in a hella flat tire for a cheaper rate than this. My advice? Get your diagnosis or whatever, thank them for their time, and take your car elsewhere. read more
