This store should be the flagship store for Discount Tire. Even though the place is small, the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. The associates were friendly and welcoming. About my visit: I had an appointment for my tire rotation. I utilize the "I'm in my way" feature that I got via text and was able to check in easily. While standing in the lobby to see associate, my name was called. My appt way at 3:30pm and was done at 4:15pm. read more

Wednesday I was experiencing low pressure in my rear driver side tire for the second time this week, after putting air in it that morning so I took it to discount. Upon the initial inspection they discovered a nail/screw which is was not surprising given I drive my car daily. So much so that I have the certificates on each tire offered by discount (a protection plan). They said it was repairable but after repairing it and testing it, it in fact was not repairable so I needed an entirely new tire. I was also informed that one of my wheels was bent as well, this however was not the same tire with the nail but they showed me how it was causing bouncing or an instability in my ride. We looked up the cost of replacing with the same wheel I had and it was completely out of the question. I opted for four completely new, different, reasonably priced wheels. I left my car with them as they had the wheels on hand but not the tire. I went to the movies and about six hours later, my car was finally done. Although it took longer than anticipated and cost way more than intended, I really appreciate their help in getting me back on the road. Jaelen was very kind and did everything he could to ease my worry. Their restrooms were clean and they offered cold bottles of water. However, I wish I had taken my old wheels, maybe I could've found something to do with them to offset my cost. read more

Stopped in this place after getting a flat, LARGE nail in our tire. The staff were INCREDIBLE, gracious and very helpful. This was a rental car as we were just visiting the San Antonio area.DiscountTire really saved us. Repaired the flat in about 10mins. Very professional and kind workers, management should be proud of them. If I lived in the area I'd definitely be back for all my tire services and/or repairs, I highly recommend them, especially for the value, the repair was free because my husband is a veteran, where can you find service like that!! They are AWESOME read more

Discount Tire - New tires and rims - Tires Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

I got a flat thanks to an awesome pothole off I-10 and Callaghan (thank you city of San Antonio) and brought my car here. They had to order my tire and gave me an estimated timeframe and let me tell you they over delivered. They got me out of there sooner than I expected. read more

Air check is terrible. Been waiting in line for 40 minutes and still not at the front, probably about halfway. They need multiple workers doing air check because this is ridiculous. read more

I was treated well starting with the guy who services the tires to the guys at the counter, and including the service guys. AMAZING, excellent service. Would recommend this place! Clayton, DJ, Randall,. Great guys! read more

Everyone at this location was helpful, kind and respectful...not to mention their work ethic is something to be celebrated. I've been coming here for years and always have a good experience. Today, Frank gave me the best service I've had at any Discount Tire store. He was friendly, receptive, informative, and flexible with my needs. He got me a combination of products that fit my budget and met my needs. Thank you! I always know if something goes wrong, I can take my car to any DT and get it handled quickly. It never takes more than an hour to get everything handled. read more

Thank you so much for your help today, Anthony! I never knew the big difference buying new rims would have in my driving experience. I went in for a new tire as my tire had formed a bubble on the side. Anthony checked my other tires and discovered my passenger front tire was also worn out. I changed out both tires and as they were changing out my tires - he discovered there was damage to my rim. He showed me a few options and gave me the best deal. I changed out all four wheels and what a difference. I truly appreciate your time and expertise Anthony! Thank you again for your guidance :) read more

I went to fix my flat tire. Tino was great on getting me all set up and situated. Discount always takes care of me and getting my tires fixed. As a woman people always try to sell me something I don't need. So when I have a interaction and I don't get asked multiple times to buy something, it makes my life so much easier. read more

I had a blowout on my recently purchased SUV with new dealership tires. I got lucky and exited the interstate right into this Discount location parking lot. Matt was honest and upfront the location of the puncture on the sidewall required the tire to be replaced, but he recommended I call the dealership to see if the tires were still under warranty from them. He helped me out to change my tire over to the spare free of charge and said if the factory tire warranty could be beat by discount to let him know. Very transparent service and overall quality. No up selling, just helpful. I will absolutely continue to do business at this location regardless of distance. read more

High Pressure Sales Award Goes To... I came here with my old Ford Ranger because 1 tire had a slow leak. While there, the guy convinced me that the tire needed to be replaced, ok fine. Once I agreed, he convinced me that they really needed to be replaced in pairs. I explained that it was an old truck, I didn't drive it much, and just needed to do the minimum. He basically threatened my safety and made me feel like a terrible person for not replacing both. Ok fine.... Replace both. After waiting 20 minutes, the guy came back and said that after looking deeper, he saw that one of the remaining two tires needed to be replaced. Again, with the threatening my safety ... Guess what, ended up replacing all four tires on my $2000 truck that I only drive to haul things. These guys milk every damn penny out of you and make you feel like crap if you don't do what they say. I don't think I've ever experienced as high pressure sales people in my life. Do These Guys Even Care? I left the store, and noticed a strange noise, that got progressively worse as I drove down the road. I have no idea why I didn't connect the noise to the tires I just purchased, but didn't. I ended up taking my truck the next day to my family mechanic. The right front wheel was about to fall off! My mechanic told me that it was a miracle if didn't fall off on my way there. read more

They were packed when I came in but they got me into the system quickly. Even though they close at 5pm they made sure I got my vehicle back same day. The techs stayed late to complete the work. I've been coming to this location for years and it's been great service from the start. read more

We stopped by to get our tires checked, you know the pressure drive up free service they have. We happened to pull up at 5:50pm, again realizing it's almost closing time and all we needed was a pressure check. The two employees standing by the door, on their cell phones see us parked there, continue to fool around with their cel phones and finally walk towards the car by this time it's now 6pm and the guy says "we're closed we close at 6pm" and walked away. My family's safety was at risk here and needed our tires checked and because these two guys decided they were going to ignore us for ten minutes instead of help us, is highly disappointing. read more

Today one of my tires was losing pressure and my car alerted me several times while I was running errands. I stopped in to see if they could help me. YES they could and did. In less than an hour from when I arrived they had checked my tire, found a nail, repaired the tire, checked all the tires and I am back on the road for NO COST. What a great way to finish the upsetting experience of a flat tire!!! Thank you to all the efficient and pleasant professionals who assisted me today!! read more

Came on a Friday afternoon and the wait was 10people/1h so I decided to schedule an appointment for the Saturday morning. Lots of friendly attendants so they were able to assist me promptly. I came for a tire rotation (free) and balance ($22/tire), complimentary filled tires. Took about 40m total after arriving at the location. Fast service, recommend scheduling an appointment. read more

I got there before opening and some rude guys tried to jump in front when the store opened. Frank noticed I was there first and helped me right away. I got what I needed and was on my way in no time. Young looking tech whose name started with a "B" (sorry can't remember his name) seemed a bit shy, but was also very helpful and polite. Frank and "B", thank you! read more

Mike was awesome. I had a flat tire on my lawn mower and 4 other places said they only work on standard tires. Mike said let me take a look. Inflated the tire and said there are no problems. extremely helpful. I asked him what I owe him he said nothing. I just wanted to say,"THANK YOU MIKE" Bohlke Family read more

Excellent experience. I needed to replace all 4 tires on my minivan as they were pretty worn. I ordered online at the discount tire website. It's very easy to use, it will ask make/model/trim of your vehicle and give options based on that. I bought 4 Goodyear tires at a good price and set an installation appointment for two days later. I received a call the day before my appointment to confirm my tires were in and I was set for the next day. I arrived about 5 minutes before my appointment time and it was pretty busy ( Saturday morning) but they had a bay already reserved for me. All in all, I was out of there in about 35 minutes. I'm very glad I didn't have to drop my car off and come back a couple of hours later like some places make you do. The guys there are all very friendly, professional and polite. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place was AWESOME! Everyone was so nice and they replaced my tire in 40 minutes. Thank you!!

Below average. Always choose DT, but come on! Why do we make appointments when businesses can't keep them? 9:15a appointment and it's 10:35a before my car goes in for a simple rotation and balance. If making an appointment is to save me 30% in time, I'll find another store. Kelsey was pleasant. I always find the staff diligent and friendly, but despite being busy, keep your appointments. You expect me to - it's to be reciprocated. UPDATE: Once in the bay, was handled quickly and efficiently. Off and rolling to my next appointment at 11:00a. read more

SERVICE REQUESTED - Low Tire warning light, possible flat fix. They put me in line and checked it within 15 minutes (I was 4th in line). Very detail oriented and I could watch the entire process. QUALITY - They use patches not plugs and quick, but accurate and done right seemed the priority. Great quality. I'm from GA 1,000 miles from home. I stopped in Dallas for. Flat fix (different tire) and now 5 months later "low-tire warning," turns out to be the super unusually cold weather. VALUE - I bought my family car tires at this company (in GA) and this is a new car that doesn't need tires yet, but FREE FLAT FIX and I get rotation balance here. Best value and exactly why we buy the best rated tires for our cars, from here, always. Never regret coming. Note: We only wish, hope, and pray you start changing oil, soon! We trust you, do it and we'd never go to the dealer except for warranty work, again! read more

YOUR TIME AND MONEY ARE NOT VALUED AT DISCOUNT TIRE! I used to trust Discount Tire with all of my former and current vehicles but not anymore! After already paying, an employee tried to convince me that I didn't need the tires that i purchased for my vehicle due to them being out of stock and tried convincing me to agree to get a, "cheaper but better option." After a while, my originally purchased tires were, "found in the warehouse." 1 week later, when I had an unrepairable issue, we weren't told until 3 hours after waiting for a replacement tire that the tire was not in stock. I was told I would be receiving a call before the end of the day but I never received an update and didn't get a call back. It wasn't until the day after that I called to ask for an update on my order that I was told, "you tire just rolled in here." I feel that neither my time nor money are valued. I will no longer recommend this to family & friends. read more

Quality is wonderful. Very long wait; they are always very busy. But they are always cheerful and helpful.

Great service And sales. I went to the one in San Antonio so I hope the same ethos is true nationwide. They seem very customer focused.

First I had to check in curbside even though I had a confirmed appointment. Second the curbside checkin had nothing to do with my appointment and actually only meant that a person would come out for the second time to try and push a full set of tires on me. Before "checking me in" for my appointment. Then I was told maybe an hour for them to plug a tire... WITH APPOINTMENT read more

First time customer and I have had an amazing experience here! Zack was so great and took amazing care of me and my vehicle! Everyone has great service and wait time wasn't long at all! I am definitely coming back! read more

I felt cheated. I went in to get my air checked/filled and I knew I had a flat. I had every intention to go up the street to Sam's, where I had a membership, to take care of that. Discount Tire said to park and they'd take care of it though. So I was told they'd fix it up for me, and I inquired on the price, and they said no charge. As in $0. As in FREE. So that's fine, I'd save some money on this. I NEED to budget my income accordingly and I can't deal with "surprises" as I live paycheck to paycheck. I waited about 45 minutes and I'm told I have to pay $60+ for a replacement. UHM, could you have at LEAST asked first so I can decide if I even wanted you all to do it? Or at least check my bank account to make sure I can even afford it!? I've paid on average $30-$35 for tires at Wal-Mart, how on EARTH does a tire here cost double!? My jaw hit the floor. I absolutely would have rather driven the extra quarter of a mile up the road to Sam's in a hella flat tire for a cheaper rate than this. My advice? Get your diagnosis or whatever, thank them for their time, and take your car elsewhere. read more

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I drove in on a donut around 11:00 on a Saturday. They were busy, but I was greeted right away and an employee came to check in with me as soon as he was available. He (Miguel) inspected all the tires, the windshield wipers, and the spare and then gave me the run-down. I was shown several options, he helped me make a decision, and got the tech (Tanner) started right away. They were both knowledgeable and courteous, which I noticed of several of the employees. Their uniforms and appearance was professional, and the shop was tidy. They got me out in under and helped turned a crummy day into a much better one. Special thanks to Miguel and Tanner, but great job to all the staff!! read more

Friendly, fast, affordable, and they even play good music in the reception area! This team works hard to make things right. Excellent job on getting my tires delivered and installed before they planned. Ordered tires that were at a different location, they were delivered and installed in just a cpl hours. They got my truck in and out in well than less an hour after beginning the installation. read more
