I bought my first set of tires here for my "Man Van" and had such a great buying experience with Dawson that I had to go back and buy another set for my Traverse a few months later. This time though when I brought my Traverse in, he told me that the tires I had would last me a few thousand miles more, so when my wife and I got back from wintering in Texas, I took it back and he said it was time. I truly appreciated his honesty. Dawson is very customer oriented, product knowledgeable and a super helpful young man. read more

Talk about jaw dropping. The staff was so kind and helpful and truly caring. I couldn't afford to replace my dangerously bad tires and they surprised me by replacing them all for FREE!! I'm serious! It's a company policy to help people. I live only on Social Security and they thought I should get the tires before something terrible happened. I was blown away. No one has ever done something like this for me before. So surprising in this world. Special thanks to Dawson and Sach. Big hearted guys. They have earned their wings. read more

Trustworthy and reliable service! Needed a new set of tires and they made the process fast and easy! Thank you!

Called to see if they could fix a wheel barrow tire. Edgar answered and was very cheerful on the phone. He said they could and no appointment needed. Once I arrived the customer service was amazing and they fixed my tire and I was out of there in 15 minutes. I highly recommend. Amazing customer service!!! read more

Did a good job on my 2022 Toyota Prius. Got there for my appointment, had everything pre-paid. Talked to the general manager he got me checked in. Waited for about an hour, granted they were busy and I wasn't in a rush. As soon as they got to my vehicle they zipped through it and had everything done including rebalancing of my new tires done in about 15 minutes. Definitely happy with how efficient the staff is and the price I got it all for. Awesome! read more

Before I say anything, anything at all about the tires at Discount Tires I want to tell you about the staff. Tires are tires you can get them anywhere but the quality of the service you get at South Rochester Discount Tires is so much better than anywhere else that I have gotten tires. I have public anxiety so some days I can leave my house some days I can't. I missed my appointment on Tuesday. I went up on Wednesday and I explained it to the gentleman. He made an appointment for early the next morning and he actually came out to my car. I did not ask him to do this. He came out to my car, made sure I was OK if I wanted to wait in my car if he could do anything to help me and I found that so enlightening. He actually cared about how I felt. He made sure that I was taken care of. He treated me like a queen and believe me I'm 53 years old I don't look like a queen . I appreciate that gentleman more than you can imagine. He did not have to go out of his way to help me and the tiny little things he did but those tiny little things made such a huge difference in my ability to not have a panic attack. Thank you Dan Now I can tell you about the tires. I have an older car so I didn't want to put the same top of the line tires on so I opted for the cheapest. MISTAKE. I was so used to driving with amazing tires I just couldn't stand the new cheap ones. Seriously I even called to see if there was something we could do different or if I bought the wrong tires. They have a 30 day replacement policy. I brought my car up I only had to pay the difference in the tire price nothing else. The tires I have on now are middle of the road but feel perfect driving. I normally do not write reviews but Dan needs to know he was appreciated and that policy rocks:-) Ps my Michelin defenders tires have an 80,000 mile lifetime I got over 100,000 miles. I'm hoping my new Continental will give me close to that. read more

Got my tire repaired last week. Seemed all well for the last few days but went out yesterday and it was extremely low again, managed to limp there and get it fixed again. read more

Wow ! Great service! Traveling Antwone got us in found our issue all in less than 1 hour. Did not sell us anything we did not need. So nice to feel good about taking my truck in not knowing what the issue was and a simple solution was given! Highly recommend! Very Trustworthy! read more

From the time I called them, to walking in the door for my appointment, and walking out the door with a smile and a satisfied repeat customer - Discount Tire hires great people that deliver delightful customer service. They don't have an exhaustive list of things they do; they do tires exceptionally well! When you buy tires here, they rotate them throughout the life of your tire (no extra charge). Derek and Adam are pleasant, honest, attentive, great listeners (i.e. not selling you something you don't want or need), you feel heard, they smile, and their locations are clean (incl. the bathrooms). I highly recommend! read more

North location...theyre amazing!! Always so welcoming and accommodating, especially knowledgeable. Over the years they've saved me so much time and money. I'd just gotten a "fast lane" oil change from a local dealership (on the frontage road) one evening. I went straight home from there and parked my car in my driveway, never moved it until the next morning as I headed to work 3 miles away. I'd gotten 2 miles and pulled over to see a flat tire. Long story short, DT figured out that during my oil change, someone had to have topped off the air in my tire and the entire valve stem and censor completely off. The only reason the deflation took so long was due to the freezing temps the night before. I returned to that dealership and sternly suggested they fix it at no cost. read more

The service at the south location was outstanding, particularly the front desk personnel.

I always come here for tire service. I have purchased two sets of snow tires here in the last couple of years. They always have good prices and fast service. I normally set my appointment and then walk next door to MacDonalds and get a cup of coffee. Nice way to start the day. read more

I showed five minutes early for my 8:00 appointment, and even though it was 10 degrees below zero, they stood there drinking coffee and staring at me instead of simply opening the door to let me in. When I was finally let in (five minutes later) and I told them I had an 8:00 appointment, I was told twice that they don't take appointments at 8:00. I said I was told to come in at 8:00, and he said, again, we don't take 8:00 appointments. A 1-star rating could have easily been a 5-star rating with a little effort on their part. read more

Helped me out of a jam with my wife's car. We picked up a slow leak and were trying to get it fixed before driving home. DT stepped up and fixed it and one other tire with a nail. They squeezed me in no problem. Mind you I didn't even buy these tires there although I have purchased tires for my other vehicle (at another location). $62 out the door including tire rotation. It took about 1hr to complete. read more

Discount Tire is a good place to go. Reasonable prices and good service. They also offer zero interest payments with their credit card and almost always have some sort of rebate available. read more

Always a crazy busy place but the service is always quick. Very friendly staff. This applies to the north store as well.

These guys are great. I scheduled an appointment and picked out tires online and stopped by at the scheduled time. The rep who checked me in was very friendly. After a snafu with my Discount Tire card, the rep worked diligently to get the problem fixed, and in the end, was successful. The tech who installed my tires was also extremely friendly. I was told that there would be roughly a 45 minute wait for the installation to be complete. I was out the door in 35 minutes. I drove away happy and am enjoying my smooth ride! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We paid a ton of money for new tires not long ago. 55,000 mile warranty. No one said they had to be rotated every 5000 mikes or it invalidates the warranty. We had about 15000 miles on them. Because we didn't rotate every 5000 miles they made us pay for new tires. None of these "rules" are stated on the receipt. We got no other paperwork. We paid for 2 new tires. They said we invite you to come back and get them rotated every 5000 miles. Again nothing about it being mandatory for the warranty. It also took 30 minutes longer than they told us it would. I won't be back! read more

We're traveling from California and needed a quick check of our trailer tires. The service guy was friendly and checked our tires, added a little air, torqued tires we just replaced and got us on the road in just a few minutes. read more

OK I cannot believe how great they are I had two bad tires on my truck. I could only afford one and was ready to get just the one but the manager told me he couldn't let me go with an unsafe tire so he gave me the other brand new for no charge I can not tell you how much that not only means to me but also helps me. Thank you so much read more

Discount tire was highly recommended to me; after looking online I had picked out my tires and scheduled my appointment the end of June. I dropped my car off the night before and picked up the afternoon my tires were completed. After I had paid my bill, I over looked my tires; they were gouged and completely scuffed up. My rims are flat black on an SE custom package for my car. The black coating was scratched off and deep gouges were left in the rim of the tire. After walking back into the store describing my dismay, the manager said that they'd make it right by taking my wheels to a resurface company to get the tires resurfaced/repaired. I've contacted two other establishments that install and mount - they've both recommended that I get the tires resurfaced. I contacted the resurface company to see if DTS has made any effort in making the repairs to my wheels- as of late August no contact was made. I'd love to post pictures of the damage caused; but I cannot. I will not be taking my car to any other Discount Tire, as this experience has left me still quite upset; even more so since nothing has been done to make it right after leaving the store. read more

These guys are honest and very knowledgeable about tires. The kicker is the prices. They even beat the online prices I found for my Michelin truck tires. The place is clean and you don't have to wait forever only took about 45 minutes, I just walked over to McDonald's. read more

This past Monday morning we were getting ready to drive back to Duluth. Noticed that the right rear tire was low. Drove to Discount Tire immediately. Brad put me right in. I've always come to Discount Tire for our tires and have been satisfied with the service. Could do better with scheduling appointments... I was a walk in and waited over 3 hours... Not sure why I had to sit there in store for that amount of time. Seems to me you could pay and they could call or text you when they are close to getting you in... I needed 4 new all weather tires for my Honda Civic. They recommended Michelin Defenders, which have been absolutely wonderful this winter. The person working applied a $75 off coupon for me, which I was very grateful for because I was unaware of the promotion and money was very tight at the time I had to have the work done. They were extremely friendly and service was prompt. My mom and I stopped by a sandwich shop to grab a bite to eat and by the time we were done they were finished putting on the new tires. I will definitely be back and will refer them to friends. read more
