I went in for a flat repair knowing I might have to buy a new set of tires and a possible alignment. My car was removed from the work bay and sat in the parking lot for over 30 minutes. At NO TIME was I updated on the status of my car nor was I ever given any sort of timeframe of when my car would be ready. I spoke with the manager and explained that it was unacceptable to just forget about any customer and not keep them informed on the status of their vehicle. I feel he didn't act like he cared and definitely felt like he didn't care about me! I also explained to Blake the same thing about not keeping me informed and he had the same attitude as the manager. I guess Blake was too busy "playing" on his cellphone to care about me as a customer. I also told Blake that if there was another Discount Tire available for me to take my business, I would NEVER Return to the Discount Tire in Palestine! read more

Thieves, went in for a tire rotation and they tried to tell me that my 50k tires were bad after only 19k miles. Went home and tested them with a manual tread gauge, my tires are still good. Just because they use digital gauges and show you the screen doesn't mean they can't program it to cheat people. Be careful! read more

Made my last trip to them yesterday. Needed two tires replaced on my truck. Salesman tried to sell me four, the other two were fine. Then asked him to see if I had a bad sensor because the low tire light stayed on even though the tires were at proper inflation. He said it probably had a bad battery, but since he didn't know which one he wanted to repair all four at a cost of 63.50 each. At one time, when they replaced tires, they rebuilt the sensors at no charge when they put new tires on. They even showed me the old sensor parts to prove they did it. When they took off the tires they told me I needed to buy new lug nuts at fifty dollars a box as I had one that was rounded off, I refused this also because Discount Tire are the only ones that have ever taken a tire off of any of my vehicles!! If it is rounded off, it is because of them! Have used discount tires for well over 20 years, but this was the final time!!! read more

So disappointed in this store! I've been with discount tire for over 15 years. I went I. Today to get my tires rotated and was told that I needed new tires. That I had one tire at a 2, two tires at 3 and one at 4... and that it was unsafe to be driving my car..... I've owned many cars and replaced many tires in my life,... not to mention my gut just screamed as I was dealing with this guy. He told me I had a $200 pro rate discount on the last set, and I'd walk out of there for a little over $500. I said fine just do it. Then he told me that tire had been discontinued. I then asked him if the tire he was going to be putting on my car was the same price. And he informed me no they were $75 more per tire. He was not going to tell me that If I hadn't went back up there and asked him..... I told him I was going ti talk to a friend that had a tire shop and would let them know next week if I wanted to order tires. I then asked if they were going to rotate my tires and he said we aren't allowed to rotate tires that are this bad......... I went straight to my regular mechanic shop that sells tires and the owner and a technician looked at my car, and informed me I certainly wasn't at a 2 on any tire and I still had between 5000-10000 miles left on my tires..... yes, my mechanic will cost me about $100 more to get tires from, but I also get those extra miles out of these and it is purely principle that I will not go back to Discount Tires again... read more

Bought $1250 in tires make an appointment on a Thursday and showed up 10 mins prior to appointment. After being ignored for 15 mins (seriously walking by me, rushing to take a phone call and me standing at the counter). I called them instead the guy rushes in to answer the phone and I tell him I am here now 5 mins late. He lets me know they are busy and to wait an hour. I have an appointment!!! Anyway what do you do, I wait and they install 4 new BF Goodrich Tires. I drive straight home park in the driveway. Friday morning one flat tire! I call them and ask them to fit me in if I come back in (45 mile drive) and they will try to fit me in. Finally spoke to Bryan and he met me as I pulled in and looked after it quickly. My daughter's car was having an issue with a tire losing air. Went to Walmart and they could not figure out the problem. Went to another tire shop and they could not find it either. My daughter drove to Palestine to see us. And I took her car to Discount Tire. Rusty and Dakota took great care of us. They found a leak no one else could. It was so small but they got it patched in no time. I was on my way in under an hour. Awesome care and service. And it was no charge!!!! read more

My sis-in-law and I were driving from Houston to Dallas the week before last to participate in the Alzheimer's walk in my grandfathers memory! While traveling on I-45 at a fast speed, we had a major tire blowout. We called numerous roadside assistance #'s and tried to remain as calm and safe as possible considering the circumstances. Once we had a plan in place to get roadside help, we needed to get to a tire company for a replacement to finish our drive to Dallas! The closest Discount Tire was in Palestine, 44 miles away! We called and spoke to Rusty, the manager. He was friendly and helpful and said he'd be willing to stay open late for us! And that he did! About an hour later we pulled into Discount and Rusty and a team member were there waiting for us. It was the best possibly ending to something that was frightening for 2 girls on a road trip! Rusty and his team went above and beyond the call of duty! Thank you for the amazing customer service and for allowing us to make it to Dallas to honor my grandfather! If you come be ready to spend about 2 hours. Setting an appointment is a waste of time. Set an appointment meant for 10 am and had to wait like a dr office. It doesn't really matter they said they only guarantee you an appointment within 45 minutes of that time. I would not have set an appointment if that was the case I would have gone somewhere else. Watched them pull cars in that did not have an appointment just because they arrived first. I've bought tires for three different vehicles with them in the past two months, spent over $4,000, the least they could do was honor my appointment. read more
