I had a great experience here and I'm honestly shocked to see that they have some poor reviews. I came in the day after the first snow of the year and during Black Friday sales and they were swamped!! The employees were still so friendly and helpful even though you could see they had been running around all day. We looked at some different tire options and picked what met the needs for my daughter's driving and my budget. We set up an appointment for the install and when we came back 2 days later we were again greeted with smiles and the tires were installed in about an hour. We also got new windshield wiper blades and they threw in the rear blade for free. I highly recommend this location. read more

Their free air checks have saved me numerous times; this time for a rental car rented for an out of state road trip. The free flat repair service was what first brought me to Discount Tire long ago as a first time driver, and the fact that it's free, professional, and informative made me a permanent customer now. Even after buying new cars, I come back to Discount Tire to check the wear and be honest about what my car actually needs (not just be upsold at the dealership). The certificates are always worth it! You never know when something is going to happen to your tire. Replacing a $200+ tire for free (or $49 if you get a cert on the new one) is extreme value in an unexpected time of need. Many complain about the wait. I say this is a variable that isn't always true, but is indicative of a trusted business. They do try to prioritize urgency, so be transparent with them if you have time or don't. read more

Been here multiple times over the years and have almost always made an appointment. I arrive before my appointment and for some reason it takes 45-60 min. for them to get my car in the bay because they don't care about appointments and just do first come first serve. They need to prioritize those that make appointments. read more

My tire pressure light came on in Sun Valley and the only tire shop in town couldn't look at my car for two days. That wasn't going to work because I needed to be in Park City later in the evening. I decided to make the 4 1/2 hour drive assuming that the tire pressure light was on due to the change in temperature. I called these guys when I was about 30 minutes away. Spoke to Curt and he assured me that they would be able to fit me in this afternoon. Reagan was there to help me as soon as I pulled up. He checked my tires, found the nail and bulge on the side of my tire and got the tire replaced within 20 minutes. Always a great experience at Discount. read more

Came in to get 2 tires I couldn't get anywhere else during the covid season in 2020. They found my tires to match and put them on no problems or pressure to buy 4 . I was surprised at their fast friendly service. I never been here before. I later returned for my daughter's car bought 4 tires same awesome service. If you care about being RESPECTED and your concerns about your vehicle being heard. DO NOT GO TO THIS DISCOUNT TIRE. I brought my vehicle to this shop to have two front tires replaced and all four tires balanced. The stores manager broke the tool you need to take off the wheel lugs and then argued that it was my fault. The store's manager also said the original manufacturer tool to take off the lugs was "trash". They lied to me and they will lie to you. I would not recommend this store to my worst enemy. read more

Curt (manager) at Discount Tire on 650 Washington Blvd lacks character and honesty. I got 10,000 miles out of a 50,000 tire warranty and he offered me no mileage warranty because the told me I had to call the manufacturer. When I called the manufacturer they told me Discount needed to send them my tires. Discount threw them away so there is no proof of the worn tires. Curt told me he would honor the mileage warranty so when I returned to get a refund he walked out to my car so no customers could hear and told me he was not going to give me a refund. Shame on you Curt for your lack of honor, integrity and character. read more

As a young looking guy, it's hard to find honest people to do business with. Here is no different. I went in because the (expensive, higher end) tires that I bought here weren't holding air. Instead of taking me for my word, they just refilled them and sent me on my way. 5 days later, same tires are low again. They even left the cap to the refill port off of one of them. Who knows what damage this basically empty tire has caused to my car body. Not only that, but that was 2 hours out of my day wasted going the first time. Now I have to go in again. If only your employees did the work the first time. I'll never buy a new set from you guys again. read more

Took car in for a ac issue they said it was the compressor first so I paid it then they said it was the condensor. So I paid that then it still wasn't fixed so they said it was the sensor paid for that to be fixed still didn't fix the problem $1400 later in repairs they said it was the PCM. Took it to the dealer and they said it wasn't the PCM that it's likely the compressor and sensor somewhere in between them. So the dealer wanted me to pay them labor time to go over all their work basically. $1550 later decided to give up went back to big o and they said if anything is wrong with what they installed they would cover the fee for the part so I have to pay the dealer to basically go over all their work and find the problem. My heater worked when I took them the car now it dont work either so now im without a heater and a ac system. read more

Yay on DTS #21 (Ogden Utah)! Husband and I had been traveling on a 16 day/6 state road trip when we got caught up in some pretty major rain. And more was coming! Because we were feeling a little iffy about the safety of my tires on my Honda Civic, we pulled into a truck stop off I-15 and searched for a DTS nearby (husband and I have been loyal DTS customers for years). We found one as miles away but closes in 10 minutes . The Husband called this store and spoke with Curt who assured us that we can come right away and they will still take us in, despite the official closing time. We got there 14 minutes after closing time, found Curt right away who treated us with patience, professionalism and understanding. He sold me 4 new Continentals and took custody of our car right away. Because I left my Discount Tire credit card at home (I had planned on replacing tires after we returned from our vacation), Curt was able to find my account by way of my number and address. Putting my purchase on that card was important to me. We sat in the waiting area for 20 minutes, 4 brand new shoes on mamas car! Excellent service, great team and very customer friendly. This location don't try and help you out and try to charge you again they don't take any ones word no reason for me to lie if you go to another location they take care of you and actually find your last purchase and find that you have lifetime rotate if this place had just taken care of me I would continue to go there and purchase and pass the word but for a tire rotation they loose face and make people go elsewhere in my opinion a tire rotation is a very small price for them to help a customer and keep them buying in the future read more

I got the run around for the last couple weeks with these guys, different prices, different quotes. Finally I bought tires and wheels on Saturday and scheduled my install apointment for Monday. I was assure that the wheels, that had to be shipped in from salt lake, would be there by 2pm. When I arrived on Monday I was informed that the wheels wouldn't be there until Wednesday due to priority shipping. I wasn't too amazed with the integrity of their word, although they credited my account $50 but also told me that I could pay them an additional $84 to have them deliver the wheels on the Monday that they said they would have them. I'm going in tonight to get the tires and wheels installed, I hope that they do not disappoint again. read more

I had a blowout so needed a new tire. Plan was to get 2 tires but only 1 this week & the other after payday in 2 weeks. I called up Discount Tire & spoke to Jordan on the phone. I explained the situation & he said 2 economy tires out the door would be $151 & to come on in. Jordon was busy when I arrived so Matthew helped me out. He went out looked at my car then came back & said I could get 2 tires (50k/Miles) for $172. I asked about the $151 I was quoted over the phone & he said those were a lesser tire (40k/Miles). Said he would give me a really good deal if I bought the nicer tires for $172. I was willing to spend the extra $ but when I explained that I only wanted 1 tire today & 1 in 2 weeks then the price changed to $99 for 1 tire. I asked about the 40k tire & was told that would be $93 for 1. Doesn't take a Math Major to figure out that $172/2 doesn't = $99. I get that upselling is part of any sales game, especially anything auto related, but that was ridiculous. As I waited to decide, heard a similar upsell going on with an elderly gentleman who was having none of it. Really felt insulted after that & decided to look elsewhere. Went to Les Scwaub & they got me a tire for $75 out the door. Asked them & called around to other local shops if they give a discount on buying 2 tires vs 1. They all said the same thing that nearly all their promotions & discounts involve buying 4 tires. I am usually fastidious in purchasing decisions but needed the blowout fixed quickly. I should have been more assertive & said I will take 1 tire today for $86 & buy the 2nd in 2 weeks for the same. I honestly froze up so part of the blame lies with me. If you decide to go to Discount Tire do your research by calling around & be prepared to get the upsell routine. read more

I have been a longtime customer, ever since I moved from Florida 5 years ago. Needless to say, between my family and myself I've purchased about 6 sets of tires for all of our cars. NEVER again will I or my family purchase a set of tires from there. They made my father spend 2 hours waiting for them to fix their mistake. The whole time stringing him along that his car was almost done. Numerous people with "newer" cars walked in and out before his was complete. Discrimination to the fullest. After visiting a few stores I bought 2 sets of tires from Matt over the phone. Great price and a rebate to boot!! One set was installed a couple weeks later and the other was a Christmas present, and installed after Christmas. Today I went to apply for the rebates online only to find out I had missed the Dec 28 deadline. Today I also got a satisfaction survey, so while I gave great numbers on service, price etc, I expressed disappointment in missing out on $150+ of rebates. Sean assisted me this morning. I am so thankful that he inspected my tires so closely. They looked fine at first but as he ran his hand along the inside trade it was flapping. He did not try to talk me into an expensive tire. He inquired on the type of driving I do and how long I plan to keep the car. I was in and out in no time. All the employees were very professional and curtieous to everyone. they did did not recommend service to those who truly did not need it.
