They are refusing to pay for the damage they did even though my husband and I sat there and watched them do it while standing in the parking lot. In addition, they included my military discount for an additional $50. I was a walk in and they were able to install my tires within an hour. My experience with Discount Tire was in about 2002 in San Antonio. I was driving my dad's small pickup loaded with some demo equipment at Friday evening rush hour when I got a slow flat. I pulled over on the freeway and spotted a Discount Tire store the other side of the freeway. I was able to get there quickly and then saw they closed at 6:00; it was 6:20. To my surprise the manager walked out and asked about my situation. Upon realizing that it had a puncture he said "We'll fix it!" and pulled my vehicle into a previously-closed bay and fixed the flat within moments. When I went to pay him he said that Discount Tire did not charge for simple flat repairs and would not take any money. Went in with a nail in my tire but once the employee looked at it, he informed me the tread on my tires was too low and that they would not be able to fix the damaged tire. I ended up getting 3 new tires (one had been replaced already recently) and they were able to do it same day even though I didn't come in until after 5 pm. Very thankful the guy was honest and recommended I change my tires because I would have just procrastinated even more if he hadn't. read more

I called ahead of time and was told by Austin that there was a 25 minute wait, but could be up to an hour...that was at 12:30. I got here and turned my keys over at 1:11. There were four people ahead of me. by 245, I was fed up because my car had not left its parking spot. I asked for my keys back. To say that I am annoyed is an understatement. It is a 30+ minute drive in and 30+ minute drive back. They wasted my afternoon. They never had more than two bays going at once. read more

I brought in 2021 Chevy Trailblazer in on 12/20/25 to get 4 new tires to Longview, TX location. I had a 2:45pm appointment. I arrived 15 mins as expected and waited for 1 hr before the SUV was pulled in. Took only about 20 mins to put all 4-tires on. SUV went into the shop to replace a part on Jan 3rd, mechanics noticed that both front driver/back driver lug nuts were not screwed in properly. The car had been driving bad was unsure the reason. This could have caused an accident and damage to the vehicle or others. Not happy with this service. Employees should focus on the quality of their work versus a fast turn out. read more

I have used them twice. Good service overall, they are careful with your vehicle, and your rims to not scratch them etc. Very professional work and staff. I would say they are reasonably priced for new tires, but like any tire shop there is always hidden fees like mount, balance, tire disposal etc Sometimes there is a bit of a wait due to high volume. read more

When i went there was A LOT of ppl. I had an appointment and even then it took a solid almost 30mins to be my turn in line to check in. I ordered a set of Cooper tires online from Discount Tire. I also scheduled an appointment online and my tires were installed quickly. When I got home and was looking at the tires, I noticed that one of the four tires was a Kelly tire. I went back to the Discount Tire store and told them what happended. They ordered another Cooper tire to replace the Kelly tire that day and it arrived two days later and was installed that day. I am concerned that the error wasn't caught before being shipped to the store. The store did do a good job correcting the error. Although I don't believe they were the least bit concerned about the inconvenience I experienced from this mishap. Discount Tire needs to have a better quality control system in place at the warehouse and the store to keep this from happening again. read more

This store was once Very good! They took care of me-a senior citizen. But now there is usually a "warning" of a long wait without an appointment. And many of the staff are "new". Absolutely horrible customer service. Don't bother setting an appointment either online or over the phone, it will not matter. They will still make you wait in line. They say that they prioritize you after you have been checked in, but that's what they do for everyone. They do not value your time at all. They also just ripped us off on a Michelin warranty claim on a set of 70,000 mile tires that only lasted 20,000 miles. Tires are a year and a half old, but old DOTs were sold to us. While in the store they told us it was Michelin's policy to limit the warranty claim, but a call to Michelin revealed that it was not. It is Discount Tire's policy. So they are pocketing the difference from what was prorated by Michelin. Avoid this place. McJunkins or Kilgore Tire are better options. read more

Upon arrival for my scheduled appointment I was told it would be 45 minutes. I immediately became irritated because I had an appointment. After my husband and I stepped away another employee approached. He explained that the 45 minutes meant that it might take that long to do the entire job. I have tried to do business with these guys but over the past several years every time I go here all I get is why they can't do anything for me. Every time is an excuse of why they can't do something. Either they don't have that size tire, of the warranty doesn't cover that, of you need new lug nuts on a brand new car, or the tire has a pin hole on the tread of the tire an they refuse to put a patch saying it's on the side wall. This place is a joke. I hate to even go up there, because it feels like they've been programmed to upsell you on anything they can and refuse to do logical business. Congratulations I will be taking my business somewhere that actually wants to do business with me. Instead of giving me reasons why you can do something for me how about make reasons why you can. My wife's 4Runner got a flat on the front left. When I changed the tire, I saw where the inside was worn smooth indicating that the alignment was way off. Took the car to Discount Tire and they didn't have the tire size in stock, so they ordered 2 of them. They said the tires should come in on Friday, but it might be Monday. I didn't want my wife driving without a spare over the weekend, and was talking to my wife about buying a used tire from somewhere else. The service writer heard us talking about it, checked to see if they had any used tires in that size there. When they didn't have any, offered to put a new tire on a rim to use as a spare, until our tires came in. I asked how much it would cost, and he said it would be no charge. When our tires came in, they pulled the borrowed tire and mounted the ordered tires. This was going way over and above regular customer service. I can't say enough about how well we were treated here. read more

Very disappointed in this place. Needed new tires because the previous tires I bought at this location turned out to have no warranty, although when I bought them they had a 100,000 mile warranty. But they said they'd do what they could for me so they warranted them for 70,000 miles. Last time I checked 44,000 miles of 70,000 miles is about 63% so I should get 37% reduced cost. But no, out of the goodness of their hearts, I get about 27% off a new tires. I will find another place to purchase tires from in the future. My tires were 7 years old and beginning to show signs of dry rot. I could have gone a while longer (still had usable thread) but decided to go ahead and get 4 new ones. All of the staff members were very pleasant and courteous. I was waited on in a timely manner and was shown what they had available after I told them my buying preference. When bringing in the Suburban 2500 in for two tires, we were quoted a price. When we got there they realized that they had quoted a price for a 1500 and naturally the price for the 2500 was more. When thinking of places with great customer service, I do not generally find any type of automotive service shops on the list. Discount Tire, however, is an exception. Longview is a city that is greatly missing a sense of customer service, but this tire shop does a quality job. Maybe it is because I was expecting so little that I was so impressed, but I am that nonetheless. The manager (franchise owner, maybe?) was on the floor engaging people. More than that, after my transaction was complete, he approached me about saving money and reworked it so that I got more for less - even though I had already happily paid and was waiting. That is rare. The staff was very courteous and standards were high all around: uniforms, engagement, and cleanliness on the floor and restrooms. As a former retail manager, it all really stood out to me as a tight operation. Good job, guys. read more

It is very rare that I write a review on an automotive type business. I've never been overly impressed and at one point or another they all seem to irritate me. I visited this Discount Tire for the first time ever and the service I received was exceptional. I went online a week before I wanted to have my work done and ordered the tires and set an appointment for 8:15 one morning. The confirmation email said show up 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and what not. The guy that waited on me was fast, friendly, and professional. They had a crew jump right on my 4 new tires and I was out the door at 8:15 exactly. My appointment wasn't even until then. I was blown away by the service I received. Four new tires in 15 minutes has never happened for me, ever. Their prices are fair and were actually better than other places around here. read more

I would not go back here again! They tried to sell me new tires when I didn't need them! They would not rotate my tires as they claimed they didn't have enough tread. I went to discount wheel and tire to get the rotation done with no problems, they were also more friendly and locally owned. read more
