We were driving across country and had an issue where we had to have two tires replaced by the Topeka, KS Discount Tire store the day prior. We ended up staying the night in Kansas City, MO and headed out the next morning. As we were driving, we could immediately tell the back end of the car was swaying and felt off. The tires were not gripping the road properly. However, we just thought this brand of tire was not responding like the brand we usually have on our car. Then it started to feel unsafe to drive further on these tires and we knew we needed to find different tires before going any further. So, we pulled in to the Liberty, MO Discount Tire Store. John came out immediately to assist us. He tried to problem solve but didn't have the tires we needed for our car. He could order them but they would arrive until the end of the day and that wouldn't work for us. John researched the database and was able to find a pair of the tires we needed at The Overland, MO store. So we headed strait to Overland....... We found John to be very nice and helpful. Yesterday, I was on my way to work when the tire pressure sensor light on my Terrain came on and warned me that a rear tire had dropped to 24 psi. While I was on the interstate, the pressure continued dropping so I knew I had a puncture. (The pressure had gone from 35 psi to 24, then to 18 in less than 8 miles driving.) I pulled into the Liberty store--I had purchased these tires there in June--around 17:15 CDT. I saw that the bays were being cleaned up, so I asked the employee near the front door if someone could take a look at the tire and fix it if possible. He looked at it and found a screw in it, then grabbed a jack and pulled the tire off immediately. When he had the tire in the shop, I looked at the front door and saw that it had actually closed at 17:00. Chris and Andrew not only fixed the tire for me AFTER closing time, but they had me back on the road in less than 30 minutes! You all have a customer for life! This is actually the second time the Liberty store has bailed me out of a bad situation; when I bought the tires in June, I'd worked all night, waited for a Wal-Mart service center across the street from my workplace for an hour and a half to tell me that they couldn't repair the tire and they didn't have anything to replace it with, then your Liberty location had me in and out with four new tires in less than an hour. My husband and I drove in from Atlanta to visit my sister and her husband. One of our tires was flat the next morning. I have special high-speed tires (Porsche Cayenne) and I was worried that I was going to have to go to the dealer to get a new one. (It's on the other side of KC from my sister's house.) This Discount Tire actually had four Pirelli's and they were less expensive than what we paid in Atlanta at another tire store. Here we are again. Thinking I might have a good experience this go around. I mean. You did say I get free balance and rotation from time to time when you charged me a arm and leg for. Took my car in for a simple balance and rotation and it turned into a mess. They broke my tire tpms sensor (at least replaced it free), then tried to upsell me $180 for the others. Go figure. I came out of my hotel this morning to find my tire flat. The lug nuts were on so tight we couldn't get them off. We were driving through Liberty Mo & had a blow out on our RV. Found a Discount Tire 15 minutes away. Pulled in at 15 minutes before closing. It was 92degrees. They said no problem, we'll get er done. What a great team They had several guys hussleing around, sweating & installing 4 new tires. The manager, Dwane was awesome explaining what needed to be done. He oversaw everything & the employees really responded well. All done in 30 minutes & we couldn't be more pleased. Dwane was an excellent manager & the employees responded well to his encouragement. Frustrating experience. Purchased new Michelin tires for over $1400 one week ago. First drive on highway could immediately tell the tires were NOT balanced when they were installed. Explains how they replaced tires in under 30 minutes. Took it back today explaining the wheels were not balanced last week due to experiencing severe shimmy-ing when driving 60 MPH or more. Lo and behold only ONE tire was balanced, the other three were at least .5 ounce to 1 ounce out of balance. Suggestion, slow down and take the time to do a thorough job in the first place. You would have happier customers. read more

I have bought tires from this location multiple times for all of my vehicles. The tire pressure on 1 of my vehicles was kind of low so I brought it in because they offer to fill your tires up free of charge. The employee working the tire pressure line told me in order for the machine to work the tire pressure has to be at least 5 PSI and he said my tires were under that and that he could not help me. So I took my vehicle to QT and tested it myself and they were reading 15 PSI.. I for one do not like dishonest people and I will never be back to have my tires serviced here. read more

I took my car to Discount Tire in Liberty, MO to get new tires. The location, while in the process of changing the tires, bent my brake shield and broke my door lock. After returning back to them to have it checked out, they caused problems with my dashboard sensors. The company will not take responsibility for major damages that they cause no matter how long you have been loyal to them. I have been a customer for more than 25 years. Just beware!! read more

I can't say enough good things about the customer service at Discount Tire. They fix flats - no charge. They rotate tires - no charge. They check your air pressure and add air/nitrogen - no charge. They price match. They offer road hazard coverage for $11/tire for life.... even on TRAILER tires. We don't buy tires anywhere else now. It's super convenient to set up an appointment online. Last month I spent $1200 on tires for my truck. This month I needed new tires for my car. I went in at 9:15. I seemed to be first in line after one other fellah (all of the car bays were empty, but one). I told the guy who checked me in and the sales guy that I had to be somewhere by 10:30. They said, "we'll have you out of here by then." I then left to window shop at Lowe's and grab breakfast at CFA. An hour later I walk up to see my car unmoved, cars in every stall in the shop, and a crowded lobby. After asking the person who sold me tires "what gives?" He said he'd get it in there ASAP. The tires I wanted were out of stock at that location but the manager said he would give me a better tire for the same price. I made an appointment and got in and out in less then hour. These guys are great! I had to make a 400 mile trip total to and from KC the next morning and I have been neglecting to repair a slow leak. They got me in the same day and fixed me up! The bill was $0 as they said they repair for free and they let me know it was actually an issue with the rim but they patched me up anyway. This used to be the BEST place for tires. I bought tires here for every car as long as I can remember. But a couple weeks ago i went in to have a slow leak checked and turned out i needed new tires which I figured I would. The service rep offered me what they had in stock which was about double what the tires usually cost and I asked if he could locate some more economical tires and order them. He clicked a few buttons on the computer and then said "I don't want to waste your time, the in-stock tires is all we have." Couldn't be possible so I said forget it and left. This last they put the wrong pressure sensors in tires when replacing found out they had only replaced 3, said they forgot to put 4th one in, now when went in to have after purchase service done, they where to rebalance and rotate tires, they refused to rotate, said one tire too worn inside, as a old tire man myself I inspected the tire and took it to another tire shop who seen nothing wrong with the tire, no where on the tire was the wear at or below tire wear marks, this business is very dishonest and doesn't stand behind service read more

Went in for 4 new tires, after paying 1,000 2 days later went on trip, within an hour was losing air in one tire. Found out a part of tire valve was not put on and tire was going flat. No one likes to spend time at a tire store. After a couple visits, one for new tires and one this evening for an offensive screw in a new tire, I'd assert that the folks at Discount Tire know that they have a steep hill to climb on the way to great customer service. There's a little salesmanship going on but no more than being offered dessert at a restaurant. Their prices have been surprisingly reasonable and the service is very friendly and personable.
