Stay away. Very incompetent and could not care less about being so. Ordered set of tires on website, called to confirm they were in (they said yes). Came in and dropped off vehicle and said about 1 hour 45 min wait. 2 hours and 10 min later i check because looks like my truck still sitting and they then advised they could not find the tires so they just left it sitting. They damaged my wheel. Everytime I come to this shop they lose or damage something. When I check the air after leaving the shop the tires have the wrong air in them. They never tell me they accidently damage my wheels. Broken studs and chipping up my wheels with there drill. I never have issues with other shops. Kevin the Manager doesnt care. I went to this location on Friday, October 17, 2025, to get two new tires. I have never had any complaints before, and I have been going here for at least 2-3 years. I had no complaints about the new tire installation. I noticed when I first opened the driver's front door that my seat had been put down lower than I keep it. The back of the seat had been put back in a more reclining position. I moved the seat up to where I keep it, and I immediately noticed that the seat itself jiggled back and forth instead of remaining in place. This had never happened before. I thought I would drive it and see if it would click into place and remain still. It did not. I called them from my home, telling them about the problem. They said to bring the car back which I did immediately. The manager came out and I showed him the seat "wobbling" and explained that they had moved it back, and may have pushed it with more force than necessary. The manager did not seem convinced but said all he could do was to make a report of my complaint. He said someone should get in touch with me within a few days. It is now Friday, October 24, 2025, and no one has contacted me. I do not intend to return to this location until someone has taken responsibility for what they did. read more

I set an appointment to have a tire repaired. The tech looked at my tire and immediately suggested that it was not repairable and I need to purchase a new tire. There was lots of tread left on my tire and the hole was within the guideline for a flat repair. I wanted to leave a 1 but the manager was very helpful. HOWEVER, I got a new tire because I shredded mine in a pothole. In and out quickly, got a credit for the ruined tire, very happy. Went out to drive to an appointment the next morning and the new tire was flat - sitting on the rim! I would have been stranded had I not had my own air compressor. I pumped it up and got to the appointment but it was leaking so badly I had to add more air before taking it to the store. The time for the extra trips, complete changes to my days plans and unreliability we're very disappointing and stressful. Let's just say Normally, I have no issues with Discount Tires, and have been quite happy with them for years. I had taken my daughters car to Ford dealership to have routine service, while there they identified a "nail" in one of the tires and offered to fix it for $40. I said "No", as tires are under warranty at DT. So, I immediately called and scheduled an appointment to bring car in on the upcoming Sat for tire repair. Appointment was scheduled with employee named DANNY. I also called to make appointment, instead of doing it online, because having gone through a flat before, her car tires are usually not in stock, and I wanted to be sure they would have one there on Sat, in case it could not be repaired. I had not seen where the nail was. I was assured by Danny, after he looked, and saw they did not have one, that he would make sure the tire would be there on Sat., when I brought car in. Saturday morning I take the car in, find the tire has screw in it, not nail, and also another tire has a piece of metal in it but, both should be able to be fixed. No Problem,Great! Nope, when fixing the tire with screw in it the tech over drilled the hole ruining the tire. Next, I find out they do not have the replacement tire in stock, and it was never ordered. Then DANNY, who was there in the store, bold face lies to my face and says he "Never" said he would have one there when I made the appointment. So now I am stuck with a lying employee, no tire as I had been told there would be, and a manager trying to placate me as I am furious. So they slap some low grade tire on the car so my daughter can drive it, until it can be brought back up there for a second totally unnecessary time for the actual tire it was to have put back on. First of all, DANNY the liar needs to be fired, for standing there and lying to his manager and me both regarding the phone appointment. His lack of personal accountability is beyond acceptable in a business workplace, and only made the situation much worse. I have for years recommended DT, but I doubt that will ever happen again. read more

IM CHANGING MY REVIEW! I posted a rather scathing review of the service of this company but for the first time, I am completely changing a review. I was wrong. Again I was wrong. First of all John--the manager reached out to me personally to see if he could rectify the problem. I did not call him back but instead brought my car in to get the rotation I previously complained about and WHOA! John personally helped me. There was a line and he came in to help the front in people and luckily I hit the jackpot. John in a great guy. Wife is a teacher--and he loves his job. Also inside the place, they play gospel music. I went in person to get my tires rebalanced and rotated. They said that they were booked and that I should make an appointment and that they would take care of me. I made an app't with Kevin Evans from Discount Tire. I took time off of work to show up extra early. They looked at my tire and told me that they could not rebalance or rotate my front passenger tire due to cupping/depth. WTF, Why did they not tell me when I was there in person with my vehicle. I wasted time off of work. I WILL NOT BE BACK. NO THOUGHT FOR THE CUSTOMER, and by the way they are not the cheapest for tires, just look around and you will find better pricing. read more

I called and spoke with Dustin at the Buford location to tell him about the replacement tires for my front wheels. He checked and saw I had a lifetime rotate balance from the tires I purchased and let me know I could walk-in. I asked to speak with him when I got to the location and he was very welcoming and professional. He checked my vehicle out and let me know it should be done within a couple hours because of how busy it was. Everyone was very friendly at this location and they were able to get me taken care of in less than the expected time. I set an appointment to get my new wheels and tires put on, and when I showed up on time, they acted like it was a pitstop for NASCAR. Literally, three guys working on it and doing everything the right way. Once again, Discount Tire Store @ Buford does not disappoint! I accompanied my husband this morning for an 8:30AM appt to have new tires and custom wheels (fresh off the boat from Japan) mounted on his '17 WRX. From the time we were greeted walking through the door to the time we left, everyone was not only professional but took the time to care for each step of the installation process. This shop was already rocking and rolling with 4 cars in the bay. They brought the WRX back at 8:28AM and began the careful process of removing the OEM wheel set and mounting new tires onto a fresh set of wheels, that we waited over a month for from Japan. Every set of hands and eyes that worked on the tires, wheels, and car were methodical, careful, and most of all they looked like they enjoyed their work. Not a scratch or imperfection was found after they completed their work, the wheels were just as immaculate as they were when the techs unboxed them at the time of arrival. Wow, if every place had customer service like this place did, I would probably hate people less than I usually do. I picked this place based on the reviews on Yelp and placed my appointment on their website. I also did my research and picked out the tires I wanted during the process, which made it much easier instead of being unprepared when I arrived at my appointment. When you pick your tires on their website, you also get the cost, so you know what to expect once you go in. Right when I stepped into Discount Tire, everybody was very friendly and I think Doug(?) was the one that helped me (think Old Spice commercial guy). Anyway, to be honest, I also really liked this place because they kept the inside very cool and air conditioned; Georgia weather has been miserably hot and some places get really cheap with their A/C. I swear, as I was walking to the entrance of Discount tire, I wiped the sweat off my upper lips and it felt like I wiped off my "mustache" like it had Nair on it. So usually, the wait time for changing tires is around 45 minutes, but they got mine done in about 25, which is a huge plus because I didn't want to sit around and pick my nose any longer (just kidding). Plus, they have a seating area in front of a glass window so you can see the employees working on your car. FYI, this place can get packed. People usually see that as a con, but come on, if that many people are coming here, this location is doing something right. read more

I guess I must have STUPID on my forehead. I was just told I may get 10k more miles out of my tires I paid 1k for in March of last year. So I asked what's the purpose of the 60k warranty if all I'm getting is prorated? I was told at purchase If ANYTHING happens within that period it would be taken care of. NITTO said none of that is true and Discount Tire wants me to pay $500 if I want a new set! Not in this lifetime. Very misleadng. I'm surprised I stayed calm and will go through the proper channels to get satisfaction. I would've came out better buying new tires off eBay if they don't honor a warranty. You can tell these guys have been trained on good service techniques- friendly greeting upon entering the store, free tire rotations and thoughtful interaction when answering your questions. I buy all my tires here for all my vehicles because their prices are reasonable and the service is fast. You don't feel that you're being taken advantage of here, as opposed to other places.
