Have always had a good experience here in the past. This was my "go to" for tires. Took my car in for the free rotation that comes with purchase of tires. Was called 15 minutes later stating they couldn't loosen the front lug nuts due to rust. I explained the wheels on front were just removed two months earlier to replace the front axles. I asked specific questions the person couldn't answer. I then asked to speak to a manager but was told a manager couldn't help me. I replace my tires about every 25k to 30k miles due to driving quite a few road trips, so I go through quite a few tires. I went to discount tire in Chicago, where I bought my tires, but I've never been here until yesterday. This was by far the most friendly, efficient location I've been to. I went in for a tire rotation and balance, which is free if you purchase your tires from any Discount Tire. I arrived for my appointment, they walked out and checked my tire tread and gave me an estimate on how many more miles my tires have. They noticed a small screw in the tire, which the patched for free. They were short staffed and sincerely apologized if it caused a delay, which it did but only 15-20 minutes. While waiting, I saw these employees hustling back and forth to answer all calls, update customers on their vehicle status, and help out in the shop in order to keep the vehicles moving in and out. It was teamwork at its finest. I can't stress enough how hard working these guys were. I'll always go to Discount Tire but this is by far the best location I've been to. Be VERY careful of them adding a charge for "certificates" to your bill. This is a type of optional insurance if you run over a nail, etc... I took an SUV to them a month ago and they added this in to all 4 tires. When I called them on it when I picked the vehicle up, the guy said he explained it to me. He absolutely did not! This is a lease vehicle that I was turning in to the dealer. The tires were worn and it was cheaper to get tires here than the dealer. AND, I bought tire and rim insurance from the dealer 3 years ago when I leased it!! You think I would have bought this if it was explained to me?!?! Today I dropped off an older car that needed one tire and I specifically was listening for an explanation on the price. Just got the final total. Got the receipt and there it was again! The guy LIED to me saying he believes he explained it. He did not! This is just shady as heck business practice. A tire receipt has other add ons and it's easy to assume it's customary or required. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the product. We had pre-selected the tires we wanted, and Matt highly recommended them. He could very easily have pushed us toward a more expensive tire, but he didn't. Instead he praised the tire we selected and told us how good it is. It was going to take a couple of hours for installation if we waited that day, but Matt said we could come back in at 8:00 am the following Monday and they could get us in right away. Last Friday took my vehicle in to have two new tires installed on the front. I called in advance with no reservation was told would be no problem once I walked in the door had the tires in stock and they could get me in and out of there in less than two hours. I am mediately drove over to the tire shop so I was there in less than 20 minutes after I talked to them, walk in the door the gentleman told me working there that they were for all the employees working they had plenty of help that morning and they should have me in and out under two hours. It took them over three hours and that is why I left there not feeling very good about this particular tire shop. I do not recommend them, as I believe the men that work there are not very well managed. read more

As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted with a smile and handshake from a friendly gentleman named Jackson. They were busy with the pre-thanksgiving travel day, but were able to get me set up with a brand new tire. He evaluated each tire and gave me a ranking based on the wear and tear of each tire. He indicated that I am due to change the other front tire as well because it is about to give as well. He called the location to see if they would switch it. They said it would take 4 to 5 hours to fix their mistake. This is a ridiculous amount of time to fix their error!
