I have been an avid customer for Discount Tire for over 10 years. With any change in season, my low tire sensor will go off. My passenger side rear tire was low when I arrived on Thursday afternoon. While the tires were getting filled, I mentioned the low pressure issue to the tech and asked if I had something in that tire. The tech said the air should solve the problem but he did not look at my tire. Fast forward to today, my tire pressure dropped 17lbs in the rear passenger tire and I am once again at Discount Tire. When I asked about something in my tire, a new tech looked at the tire this time and discovered a screw in the passenger rear tire. The tech I talked to today asked why the tech from yesterday didn't check the tire. Good question. I got here at 12:45. I was checked in at 1:05. To my surprise, I received a text update stating I wouldn't be seen until 2:50-3:15-something not mentioned when I checked in. My car was not taken back until 3:30. I did not leave until Had the first tech looked at the tire yesterday, I wouldn't have spent 3.5 hours waiting to be seen today. I understand businesses are busy but its a tire plug. I've experienced solid customer service for years at Discount Tire, a disappointing visit on top of 3.5 hours I didn't have to waste during a workday, will have me shopping elsewhere. read more

We have been a customer for several years. We have a fifth wheel that needed new tires when we arrived at the tire store it was really busy and they were doing some remodeling so finding somewhere to park the fifth wheel wasn't easy but we succeeded. We were met quickly and were told it could awhile because they were busy. We also had a tire on our truck that needed to be changed because of some road damage. We had purchased the road hazard certificate when we purchased the truck tires from Discount Tire. The new tire only cost us 46 dollars which was great. A couple of technicians came to mount the tires. We waited maybe an hour to get everything done. Great service. Recommend the company to everyone. read more

I stopped by for an air pressure check, and Will was incredibly helpful. He pointed out that one of our minivan's tires had a dangerous heat ring--essentially a blowout waiting to happen. He recommended getting new tires, and the team quickly ordered a set from another location. Even without an appointment on a busy Saturday, they got everything done in under two hours. Why on earth do you have to wait in line, just to pick up your vehicle after being serviced. Also, why do phone calls take presidence over people waiting in the lobby. Pretty ridiculous that I waited 2 hours for service and then stood in line to get my car for 20minutes!!! read more

Definitely wasn't the best start to the day but after arriving to this discount tire to get it looked at and patched up, I was immediately greeted by Blake! I have bought most of my tires on all cars here. Service is pretty good prices are fair. My problem is that every time I buy tires they try to slip one of their BS warrantees onto the bill. $20 per tire. They used to ask me, I would always say no. The last couple of times they just slip it onto the bill. I don't see it until I get home. Have to make another trip to get it taken off. May try the place next door, maybe they won't try to rip me off. read more

Just went to replace tire with sidewalk damage. It's a very busy place. I've bought tires for my nephew here. I've replaced tire for my brother. But it's always expensive. I spoke with a gentleman about my tire. He said they only had 1 tire type in stock. $319.00 for 1 tire Michelin. Walmart has Goodyear same size $140.00. They stated that they match prices. I looked on my phone and the tire was 159$-$272. I left. Went to walmart. Had great service and road hazard that replaces tire of side wall is damaged. Sometimes you just have to draw the line. I suppose that the service advisor could of suggested a cheaper tire and order it for me but it was pretty much either take it or leave it. This place does tremendous business and not closing down no matter what. I'm just not the person who doesn't care what a tire cost. Just saying look around. There are options everywhere. read more

I can't say enough about these young men who work at Discount tire. They are kind, well trained, polite and fast. I have used them for my tire purchases for quite some time and have never had a less than perfect experience. Not only are they great at what they do, they go out of their way to help the customer. When the battery died in my truck a block away, I walked over to ask for some help. Four guys came over and pushed my truck out of traffic into a parking place so I could go get a battery. Wow. It's not often that I am "wowed" by an establishment, but this visit was literally perfect. I had a nail in my tire. I made an appointment online, showed up early, was seen early, had my tire looked at by an incredibly considerate tech named Bryson. My tire was fixed, and I was in and out in less than 30 min, and my bill was zero dollars. Every person I encountered during my visit was kind and pleasant. I've purchased tires from here before, have had service here before, but today's visit blew it out of the park. I'll definitely continue to go there when needed. read more

March 25 2021. I just left from there after waiting 2 hours for an alignment, I explain to the nice young lady that my VDC light came on after getting new tire from them yesterday. She kindly noted it on the work order and told the technician, however when my car was finally finished I asked about it the other asked the manager, shop manager or owner who ever the hell he is, said that they didn't look at it and said didn't have time for it and was completely a rude ass I should have punched him in the face.. I mean I was in there for close to 3 hours!!! Even the lady said that she noted it and should have gotten done and was very apologetic. I purchased 6 new tires for my dually last March. The pressure on the tires has never been right and I have had the people at the Smyrna Discount Tire work on it at least 3-4 times. Today going home I had the inner tire on the dually on the drivers side go flat. I stopped at discount tire and showed the technician that the tire was flat and he agreed and made note of it. I left it at there location because I was number 14 to have the flat addressed. I received a text saying that it was fixed. When I picked up the truck, a person in the office said it was a value stem leaking, but was fixed. I might note that when I spent over $2,144 for tires, they never replaced "any" of the tire stems. On the way home I was waiting for the tire monitor to show pressure on the inner tire but never rose over 1 pound, however the outer tire had an increase pressure to 89 pounds. When I got home, the inner tire was still flat. Stay away from Discount Tire. I have used them for the past 30 years, but this is the worst. BTW, there should be a way of giving zero stars. read more

A definitive experience. I ordered my tires online for a Holiday promotion. I got a call from the store Manager, encouraging me to prepay so I'd lock in the $100 rebate. He ENCOURAGED and to get the rebate! I had to special order tires for my Lexus, and they arrived as promised. I saved $190 from the nearest competitor, before the rebate. Truly one of the places that has the best service. We've been coming for years and won't go anywhere else. Not only that, but they've got the best prices! Our latest experience was this past weekend, my son's tire pressure was low so we it took it in 15 mins after close, and they still added air and inspected and found a nail in the tire. Brought it back the next day and it was patched for free! It's true, if they can fill the hole, they will do it for FREE. Staff are all courteous and professional. After a bad experience at another dealer (TW) who realized 30 mins into my 4pm install appt that my tires had not come in... Discount Tire got the job done. The diff in service is like night and day. I called them from the other place's parking lot. They agreed to beat their price, ordered the tires for me, called me the next morn to confirm the tires arrived, then had them on my car by 10 am. Yes! I'll mention they are way friendlier too. As soon as you walk in you're greeted, they really have great customer service! I'm not knowledgeable about tires so the gentlemen that helped me went all out on explaining the life on the tire and how to find out the life span of each tire. I wasn't pressured into anything I didn't want, but I'm glad he explained the tires I bought and how the lifetime warranty works. My wait was about an hour but luckily there's a trail at the hospital across the street I went to but plus there's a shopping center near by. read more

Today, I needed to buy the Certificates for the tires on my car, as well as get them rotated. I think it was Xavier that took care of me today. As the staff at DT is always friendly and professional, Xavier was as well. He also helped me get a little better price. The part of my experience that really made me want to write a review today was when I saw someone get a flat tire on Sam Ridley, right in front of the shop.
