I had a very disappointing experience at the Discount tire, Alpharetta location on 04/10/2026. I took my car in for a tire rotation and balancing and waited nearly two hours before my vehicle was taken in, around 5:05 PM. What concerned me most was that within about five minutes, the technician returned and said the service was completed. That timing alone raised doubts, but I confirmed my concerns after checking my vehicle. I had marked each tire and its position beforehand, and all four tires were still in the exact same positions. Additionally, the wheel weights used for balancing were unchanged--no old ones were removed, and no new ones were added. Based on this, it is clear that the requested service was not performed. This experience felt dishonest and unacceptable. I expect better transparency and professionalism from a service provider. I hope management addresses this issue to prevent it from happening to other customers. read more

These guys are awesome! Everyone is super friendly, professional and PROFESSIONAL :). Even Mr. Chris the manager was hands on deck, working in the front, going to the back, talking with clients, he was getting down and dirty with his employees making sure every client was taken care of. Couldn't recommend them more. As a young-ish female, it's often a taxing experience doing car maintenance on your own. Somehow, discount tire makes it bearable. I always feel respected and valued and they never try to add extra services. In fact, if you shop with them once, you're often eligible to get follow up maintenance free of charge. I once got a flat tire replaced, and almost a year later was able to get an entirely different tire patched and my other tires touched up free of charge. So i went here because one of my tires was low on pressure. the first guy i talked to just gave me a patch and filled it up with air and told me to come back if it gets low again. no problem right? well i went back the same day because i got low pressure again. when i went back i spoke to a different guy, who said the original guy i spoke to shouldn't have let me drive away, or put air in my tires because they were at risk of exploding (due to some line on them?) he even asked for the first guys name acting like he was gonna "have a talk" with him for putting me in danger. he told me i can't leave as it is a risk to my safety?? mind you i don't really know anything about cars, but im going to these guys hopefully for a professional and HONEST opinion! of course hearing this i get extremely worried, and the guy there tells me i need to buy all new tires. I start freaking out of course and immediately call my step father, who ask to speak to the guy who told me this. The guy at the tire shop changes tunes IMMEDIATELY when he sees i have a man on the phone and just patches my tire and lets me go. Look, i understand you have to make a sale, but was it really necessary to scare me into buying something? i just find it so low brow and honestly disgusting that someone would do this. the tires this guy was trying to sell me would've cost $400, which i didn't have and the reason for me becoming very worried, i mean i was in tears! the whole interaction was very sexist, and there was no reason to take advantage of me just because i have minimal knowledge of cars. I will never be returning to a discount tire since they like to hire people who think it's cool to take advantage of women just for a couple of bucks. My whole experience with this store was excellent from beginning to end. I needed a tire repaired which they did for free. Then they pointed out that three of my tires needed to be replaced. Which they did. They didn't have the tires to match the only good tire so they ordered them instead of trying to convince me to buy three tires that I didn't want. Their prices were very much in line with any other tire store that I researched. As a matter fact, each tire was a few dollars less. After I had the tires put on I noticed that my valve covers had been switched so I went in and pointed that out. They actually sent one of their employees across the street to AutoZone to purchase new valve covers. David was on it - quick quote and got me in and out. They had the tires I needed across town. They ordered them and got it done same day.

I had an appointment on 3/18 to fix a slow puncture in my tire. After they looked at my tires they reccomended I replace all of them because they were in the "cautious zone". I was confused by that because I regularly check the tread using the notches in the tread that are designed to indicate that it's time to replace them. I called my father because he knows cars better than I do and he told me to just ask them to fix the puncture and he would check the tires when I got home.  I told them this and after about half an hour they told me they could not do the repair because it was a nail in the shoulder of the tire, which is an irreparable spot. They again reccomended a full tire replacement. I asked them to show me the placement of the nail. They took me to the tire, and it turns out they had LIED to me and it was a leak from a previous repair, in the middle of the tire, not in the shoulder. At this point I decided it was time to leave. Once I got home my father checked my tires and in his own words "they are full of crap". The tread is perfectly fine and still well within the safe limits. (Photo attached) Additionally, while I was waiting three other people came in for a single tire repair and four new tires were recommended (because of the "tread") for all three customers. I am a 20 year old college student and if they had succeeded in tricking me into buying a new set of tires, I would have struggled for months. I have a habit of changing cars often so I feel like I've been here more times than one person should, but they are consistently great. I've done the typical start to finish with them where I bring my car in, but tires and pick it up when done, several times I've carried oin loose wheels, and recently I brought them wheels and tires I bought elsewhere for my collector car (they were unable to get what I needed). All my visits have been good. One time recently I took them two sets of valve stems and provided instructions on what I wanted done. They unfortunately did the opposite but we're more than willing to make it right. It was a trivial thing and I left it alone, but it was nice to see they didn't leave it to me to complain, they were paying g attention and caught their minor mistake before I did. I've used this location for several years, purchasing tires for four different vehicles. Using their online scheduling is a great time saving tool that allows me to maximize my own time. It has honestly felt like everything that can possibly go wrong in my life does (& I'm NOT just talking about the catastrophe of McDonald's forgetting my Diet Coke last night). So when I saw my tire pressure light was on while driving M to cheer class at Extra Special People, Inc. & Discount Tire told me I ran over a screw & needed one new tire, I was disappointed but not surprised. However, I was surprised by the completely immeasurable amount of unexpected kindness everyone at Discount Tire showed me. M & I (mostly me let's be honest) came inside with a million and 1 things, taking up a large portion of the waiting area. The people working inside didn't tell me to move my stuff; instead, they held the door open for us. Then, M & I randomly decided that we needed to swing by Kroger and grab some necessities for outfit changes because we are divas and like to show off different styles throughout the day. While we were gone, the people working at Discount Tire worked so efficiently that my car was ready to drive when M & I got back! AMAZING! This type of efficient service is a miracle in itself! I was getting ready to pay (M said we couldn't go halfsies this time lolz) and getting ready to accept I might be tricked into paying more than I should (because I'm a girl who knows absolutely nothinggg about tires or cars in general) when the people at the checkout area told me IT WAS ON THEM!!! WHAATTTT?! This type of kind gesture has NEVER happened to me before. Not even kidding. Obviously then, I was speechless and holding back tears. It gets better, though. THEN THEY TOLD ME THEY REPLACED NOT ONLY THE TIRE WITH THE SCREW FOR FREE, BUT ALSO EVERY TIRE ON MY CAR FOR FREE!!! I did not know what to say other than thank you, but thanks truly didn't cut it then & doesn't cut it now! I've honestly never been the recipient of this kind of unexpected kindness in my entire life until now, but wow is unexpected kindness inexplicably POWERFUL. We've been doing business with discount for years and this particular location since moving to the area. They always take great care of us and you can't beat the prices. Several times when having issues with a cracked wheel they've moved the tire over for free. The only issue is they aren't always on top of informing you when your car is ready, but that isn't surprising with how busy they stay. I don't have a problem calling to check in. My car has a special tire size that always has to be ordered. They have put on used tires for me when they have it until my new tire comes in so I can still get around. read more

I went to Discount Tires for years and it was great...until things went awry. I started noticing that when you make an appointment and arrive, I started getting a message of it will be about 2 hours. I thought the appointment slot was for that time frame. Then I went for my regular rotation and was told I hadn't driven it enough and to come back in a few months. Then when I returned, they said they couldn't rotate them because the tread had worn down too much and it would be dangerous. I have used them long enough to have had my tires replaced multiple times. They are too busy and no longer know how to manage their schedule. I am now looking for a new tire place. read more

I also have used this location for years, but found the service different and inappropriate in late 2024. Like some of the other reviews I am reading, I got the treatment that my car was dangerous (it was not even by their own standards) and they put me in a difficult position. What I asked them to look into had an unbelievable answer back to me. Further, they tried to high pressure me (even double teamed me) into a tire that was in their stock, but a type/model I did not want. His buddy finally had to force him to agree that he could get one of the two selections I made - both of which he could see I had on identical cars previously. All seemed like a bad script that he had to get his outcome. They lost my business for sure. I don't normally give reviews, but I just can't stand this stuff. They used to be very good. The staff was nice and friendly however they straight up lied. I worked with Ralph and Not Sure of the other gentlemen but they informed me that my tire was not repairable and that I had to get a totally new tire. Even mentioned a "safety risk" about putting it back on. Totally disappointed. I took it to the dealer and they advised that the tire just needs a new plug. So I will not be coming here ever again. The premises are spotless with high ceilings and open viewing into the garage where all work is being done. I came to get a bothersome tire that was leaking air repaired or replaced. Another store had checked it three times but found nothing. These guys took their time and located and patched a tiny nail, free of charge. No appointment made. In and out in 30 minutes. This place gave me such an efficient experience! I would've thought a Monday morning would be slammed, but I walked right up to the counter, no line and no BS. The workers were friendly and professional. They had my two tires in stock, and didn't try to up-sell me anything. He said they could change them asap and get me outta there in under an hour. So I worked while I waited. They had free wifi, a "laptop bar" with outlets, and a purified water fountain, making everything easy and a pleasure. It was also super clean in there. They have replaced both the front and back tires at different times on my Veloster. So far I have had 2 problems with running over nails and another metal piece on my front tires. The first time, they replaced the tire for FREE. The second time they repaired the tire for FREE. Both mishaps were on the first set of tires. I really appreciate this company! Do not trust this Discount Tire dealer. I took my vehicle in to have the tires rotated. They told me the tread was getting low and it would not be wise to rotate the tires -- they suggested that I consider replacing the tires at the current sale price. About 10 minutes after I declined, they came back and said one of the tires was unsafe because it had a burn ring. I asked to see it -- the representative could not find the problem and asked the tech who pointed out the subject tire. The tire had never been run underinflated but had a minor abrasion on the sidewall from scraping against a curb. At this point I asked them to just complete the rotation. Afterwards I realized that the remaining treads were all still well within the safe range and that these 80,000 mi Michelin tires had been driven only 22,000 miles. Making matters even worse, it turned out that their current "sale" price was twice what I had paid for the original tires. I haven't had a problem this store before--maybe management has changed. I'll give them 2 stars since they finally did do the work. Caveat emptor! read more
