The owner of this company has no customer service skills whatsoever he is unprofessional rude and not friendly at all. This company redid our tile in our kitchen, we previously had shiny glossy tile, I was able to move around our kitchen table and chairs real easy because the service was flat and smooth ever since these guys put in what seems to be cheaper material my chairs and my table now get caught on every tile. There are some areas that are raised and not flat. We asked the owner 1 simple question he came off very offensive and very rude, and all we asked was how long was this going to take for him to finish. To make matters worse his workers left all the extra tile in my backyard didn't even bother asking if we wanted it. So now we're stuck with tile that's not glossy (shiny) nor was it installed correctly. read more

I spoke with an employee named Victor who I asked for a quote for flooring I wanted done at my home. He was referred to me by the realtor and my mom. Seeing the referrals were good I contacted this employee. I contacted him through text and wouldn't get a response sometimes until hours later. I figured he was busy so I was not desperate for answers but answering in a timely fashion is always a huge plus. We made arrangements twice to visit my house for that quote but it was required by mom (my landlord) that the person entering our house have a mask and shoe coverings. These are not difficult requests because people that work in this industry have come to my home, following these requirements. He told me that he had been looking for shoe coverings and was not able to find any and he was even willing to wrap plastic bags on his shoes. This particular job was time sensitive so I let him know that I would let him in with just a mask. As I waited for him to make his way here at the estimated time of "after 3 or 4" on Monday, he did not show up. He would tell me later that a very vague text he sent said he would come by Wednesday or Thursday. I let him Wednesday would be best and I asked him if he would be able to make it before noon on Wednesday. I did not hear from Victor again until almost 5:00 pm on Wednesday evening responding to a 3:00 pm text I sent him letting him know we found another person. He responded to with a very rude text: "Wow thanks for the time I spent looking for damn shoes every where I told you yesterday that I found some you said estimate on Wednesday and put you in my schedule for this evening but thanks any way for letting me know so late I was on my way to Moreno Valley" Granted I'm sure he was busy but his text reflects a lack of good customer service, disrespect, unprofessionalism and a high level of immaturity. This is not the way you address people you do not know especially ones who are looking to do business with you. I have time stamps on all of our texts and I sent him a text on Tuesday at 9:30 am asking about Wednesday morning and he did not respond until almost 5:00 pm on Wednesday? Come on, Victor. Rude. Disrespectful. Unprofessional. Immature. Horrible communication. Bad customer service. Do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere. If his work is a reflection of his customer service, you'll probably have questions about the quality afterward. In a time when people are looking for work and there are people willing to hire them, they need to do better. read more

I was referred to Discount Floors through a friend who just used this company. I contacted Victor for an estimate but told him my work schedule was crazy busy and I don't get home till after 9pm. Victor made it a point to give me my estimate at 9:30pm and told me that it doesn't matter the time, he wants his customers happy. Victor beat all other estimates I was given and he and his team completed the job including demolition of old wood floors. My old wood floors were heavily glued to the foundation which required more labor intensive work and the use of a large machine. Unfortunately the machine chipped a piece of my countertop. Victor came by the house and told me about this. He patched the chip but it didn't look quite the same. Victor then told me to contact my countertop guy for an estimate and Victor paid for an entire new countertop without hesitation. The flooring came out AMAZING and Victor truly is all about the customer. Very easy to work with and made this process simple and smooth. Floors, Carpet and baseboards remove and replace: $6,300.00 Walked into Discount after reading Yelp and Angie's list reviews. Met Victor Jr. Needed Hardwood floors, baseboards and carpet throughout house. I was selling my rental house so was on a budget. Vic showed me new vinyl flooring that looks just like hardwood and showed me the type of carpet that fit my budget. I was in a hurry to get the job done, so Vic followed me to the house after 20 min in his shop. He measured the house and gave me a written quote on the spot. He assembled a crew to demo the floors the next day. We needed to clean the floors of cat urine, ugly job that took about a week of enzyme and steam clean treatments on concrete and tile floors. After paint Vic's crew came in as soon as we were ready to install the floors, carpet and then baseboards. The baseboards were to be pre-painted with the colors of the house, someone did not get the memo and painted them standard white. Called Vic and he came by that day and agreed the pre-paint color was wrong and he thought the caulking of the baseboards to the walls was not good enough so he brought in a painter the next morning that caulked and repainted not only the baseboards but the transition line above the baseboards to the wall. The painter was great. Additionally there was a fireplace hearth in one room that was slightly raised and had horrible trim on it. When he removed the old trim as part of the job and re-installed the new trim as part of the vinyl wood floor, the edges of the hearth looked horrible with the old mastic from the previous trim. It was late in the evening when I inspected the work, we both agreed that the hearth edge looked horrible. This was not technically his problem but that very evening we went to Home Depot to find an acceptable trim solution. We purchased some trim he called in a finish guy and we installed the new trim that very night for a very reasonable additional charge. That is customer service! The house looks great even on my tight budget and the workmanship was excellent!! Highly recommended. read more

Five stars all the way. During Covid I was driving by one night I called the number on the sign they answered the phone and this was after hours. After a few minutes on the phone victor Junior said turn around come back see what we have so I did, adapt point I pick the carpet and padding he drove to my house that night measured and gave me a price. The next day called to tell me that he already picked up the carpet and asked when I wanted to do it, I told him the following morning would be great that following morning they had everything out cleaned and reinstalled 84 yards of new new carpet by 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Property management company sent these guys over. First guy doing appraisal was pleasant but he wasn't the guy installing. I was assured that I wasn't going to have to move furniture and all would be done by this company... When the two workers showed up they told me to move my couches. I told them I was informed I wouldn't have to. They called their boss and I spoke to him and he said they can't because liability but if I wanted to pay them directly they would work out a deal. Since I had no cash on hand and a pregnant wife I struggled to move my couches out of the way and ended up throwing my back out. I got the couch just past the threshold when I went out and the guy said it was far enough and ignored me as I crouched over in pain. They began tearing out the carpet and we heard them telling each other excitedly that there were staple strips already installed. Following installation we walked around and noticed the staple strips were felt everywhere throughout the house. The workers stated our new carpet was thinner so this was going to be expected. We asked them to hammer down the spikes and they refused stating that wasn't their jobs. After another call to the owner the workers hammered down a few main walking areas but refused to do the corners by the walls. The workers left and we called the owner back and asked him if we should call him when our infant daughter tears her skin on the spikes. He sent the men back out the next day and they lazily hammered in several other areas except areas where they would have to move any furniture. This company was a joke! The workers were a joke! I know it's cheap but find somewhere that you woke have to nurse your foot after you've stepped on spikes (like we have several times since we got our new carpet). read more

i was happy with some previous work done but this time was a nightmare. a small kitchen floor was relaced and only one guy came who barely understands me. i have had to point problems out to him and my baseboards are a mess.( now i will have to get those fixed) he was supposed to come at 8:30 and came at 11:00 and it has taken all day. very dissapointed and not pleased. the price was resonable but i have concerns about everything being hooked up correctly since he didn't seem to notice cause smaller things that i could see and i'm not sure if he understands me. the owner is a great guy, but sorry i won't be a return customer. read more

Victor and his crew from Discount Floors put in a new vinyl plank floor in our kitchen yesterday -- in one day, start to finish! We are thrilled with the result. After checking several local contractors' licenses out on the CA State Contractors License Board website to make sure they were all legit, we called half a dozen to get bids. Three contractors responded. Victor's bid was the lowest, for the exact same brand and style of vinyl plank flooring as the others. Better yet, after his crew took up the SEVERAL layers of old flooring, and put in new under-layment, I noticed that they were using top grade (of three available grades) of plywood. This impressed me, as I knew he could have used a cheaper grade and hidden it under the flooring -- but in time, the poorer quality plywood would have created flaws in the floor, where there were knotholes and uneven places in the grain, etc. Instead, he chose to use the best quality material even when the difference wouldn't show immediately. Every detail of this job was done to the utmost of professional quality, AND we got a good price. Not only that, but when we were unable to get to the store to look at material samples before he gave us a bid, he brought several types and styles of flooring out to the house when he came to measure the area. Finally, his crew was courteous, worked steadily until the job was fully completed, removed every bit of debris, swept the new floor to perfection, and made sure every edge was finished -- even removing the door threshold to finish the edge of the floor cleanly, and shaving the bottom of the door to make sure it still closed properly afterward.
