Let's start at the beginning, replacing my F250 front windshield! then....WHO TO PICK? So many glass folks out there to chose from and so many different prices????? I got lucky and decided to give Discount a try, mostly because of the reviews of not only great service but accolades to the owner, Mike. After getting a number of quotes via 'yelp' reaching out on my behalf, I decided on Discount for two reasons. He didn't say, "I'll beat any price"! (his prices are beyond competitive) but his willingness to accommodate and HE DOESN'T OVERBOOK! Forcing you to wait and wait and wait. Your appointment is YOUR appointment! Now for the work itself, my new glass was installed as promised, looking absolutely great...but heck it is new it should look great and not any issues with work quality. So, add to Discount Auto Glass location over on W 3rd St in Santa Rosa. This location is phenomenal so convenient allowing you to have a choice of sitting in the waiting room or walk five minutes, if even that, to Old Railroad Square to have a coffee, lunch, shop or hop on the Smart Train for a ride to whatever destination you choose. I mean, come on how convenient is that. AND the last little tidbit of everything Mike (and his assistant also a great guy) is my final cost....I went to pay and asked/told him, you didn't charge sales tax?! The reply was a grand slam at the ball park of, TAX is INCLUDED! Followed by, our quote is exactly what you pay...nothing hidden or extra at the end. So, if you haven't figured it out by now~~~~this review is telling you, don't shop around, save time and most certainly money by simply scheduling your appointment with Discount Auto Glass. They fixed two chips in my windshield but on one of them they bubbled my shading so now it stands out as a spot. Not good. They said that I should have told them ahead of time that I had shading. Seems to me that he should have asked since I don't know what their process is. read more

I can only say great things about this business! My dad has a company and owns many cars so when something happens they are the first people he goes too. The brothers that own this business are so real and honest. They have me a great price and had the work done right when I wanted it done..and quick too!! I posted a before and after below of my car. Unfortunately someone broke into the back of my car in December right before Christmas. =/ I didn't have the money to replace my car so when my dad called these guys up they had me come over right away and they cleaned up all the glass and put a professional plastic wrap on it to hold me over until I could come back and pay to get it fixed. About four months later I called him back and was ready to get my back windshield fixed. The reason why I had to wait is because my back windshield was made of a special glass so it was going to be more expensive. Not nearly as cheap as your typical back windshield. He was so professional and quick that I had to write a great review from him. He gave me the best deal he could find and didn't take advantage of me at all. I went to advanced auto glass last time and he raked me over the coals in price to replace my previous cars front windshield after a rock flew into it on the freeway. Unfortunately these kind of things happen and you have to know the right people to go too or else you'll be in trouble paying hundreds of bucks! Long story short: don't chose this shop if you need something done quickly, or need something specialized to be done. I had to take my car to a different shop after waiting a week for a repair, when originally quoted that it would take 2 days. Also, if you're a woman, expect to be talked down to. Details are below. This repair shop might have been fine for a windshield or other straight-forward repair, but my experience was awful, and I ended up having to go elsewhere for the work to be done. For starters, they were very unprofessional. No paperwork was drawn up, and although my car was there for 2 24-hour stints, they never took down the make, model, or mileage of the car. They always had an issue that kept the repair from being completed. The first time, they broke the glass they were planning on installing. Then, they said the glass was delayed in transit. Then, when the glass finally arrived, they said the glass wasn't the right size, and that it would take another week to order the size I needed. When I called to check in about why things were taking so long, the person I spoke to was as rude as a person could be. When I asked why they didn't take down the make and model of my car while it was at the shop to order the correct glass, I was met with "Well, there are over 50,000 models of cars you know," a condescending statement bearing no relevance to what I asked (presumably, because I am a woman. I had a man call back and speak with them, and I was told that they were perfectly cordial to him). I was given no apology for the inconvenience, and when explaining how frustrating the situation was, was told "hey, I'm just trying to help you out. I don't have to do this for you." At this point, I decided to go elsewhere - I didn't really want this man to "help me out." read more
