My favorites were the gorgeous antique chairs that were finished with beautiful pops of color. They also have smaller items, just in case you don't have the nerve to pull the trigger on a large piece of furniture. The woman working was very friendly and I liked that there was a lot packed into the space.

It was supposed to…read morebe a Christmas ornament but since Antoine enjoys destroying all things fragile, I figured I'd better get it placed in a shadow box then up on the wall, away from his active paws & jaws. I picked Frame City & Art Gallery at random because it was near my house. But what a delightful surprise! I'm really bad at colors, so Mr. Saito kindly suggested some frames & backgrounds that would make the shell art pop. He also gave me advice on where to buy natto, which is my favorite Japanese breakfast food! About 2 weeks later, Mrs. Saito cheerfully presented me with the finished product which is pictured below. The store is run by a wonderfully sweet couple and the staff is very knowledgeable. I heard a customer asking for something obscure and the staff took them right to it, told them how to use it and suggested other items too. You can get lost in the aisles and really get your creative juices flowing. Or come in for something specific. The aisles are very organized by type of product. The furniture prices are generally reasonable; however, you should definitely try to strike a deal, especially when buying multiple pieces at once. The furniture itself is mostly in great condition. The majority of it comes from hotels and BnB's that are getting rid of furniture for whatever reason. There is always a good variety to select from, and extra stock upstairs as well. I bought my entire living room and kitchen here. My only complaint is that they don't have their own delivery service, but they do have a guy that they recommend, who was willing to come same day. His minimum is $40, and coordinating with him can he a little tricky, but he's very friendly and definitely willing to accommodate.

The diversity of items available is impressive. From cards and books to ethically sourced bones, handcrafted artwork, curiosities, and so much more, it's impossible to list everything they offer. Every corner of the shop holds something fascinating. While photos and videos aren't permitted inside, I can say that the space itself is thoughtfully curated and filled with amazing handcrafted pieces created by talented artists and makers. I was fortunate enough to speak with one of the owners, who graciously allowed me to take a single overall photo. I didn't want to spotlight just one artist and risk overlooking the incredible work of others who have poured their hearts and souls into their creations. When we visited, Shelby and Port were working, and they truly made the experience memorable. I was having a rough day after getting overheated, but Shelby patiently answered every question I had with both knowledge and kindness. They even took the time to explain concepts in ways that newcomers and non-practitioners could easily understand. Port was equally wonderful. We spent time swapping stories about oddities we'd encountered and discussing items on our wish lists. They were incredibly knowledgeable, even educating us on regulations regarding which oddities can and cannot legally be shipped in and out of Louisiana. Plus there's a rug store in the back which I haven't really checked out since I have beaucoup rugs. Each booth is separate so you pay each artist or their designee individually. There is jewelry and pottery and paintings and prints and photos and an assortment of items. If you are a fan of Cary Chun Lee's cat paintings, he is often painting at his booth in the marketplace and also sells originals not just prints.
