No photos allowed. Sadly, the proprietor of this establishment doesn't want you to take photographs of all the great local artwork that he is offering here. This being said, this is an excellent place to pick up really unique and very good local artistic creations. Whether it's in the form of paintings, drawings, jewelry, sculpture, and a little bit of everything else, if you're looking for some art and you want it to be from New Orleans, this is your place to get it. Located in the French Quarter. This place is a unique business to check out. From the moment you walk in, you are overtaken by all of the colorful beauty that lines the walls and the shelves of this business. It is really a fun place to shop. There's so much stuff! This business has both a front section and a rear section. Both of which are filled with tons of various types of art. The prices here are all very reasonable. It's not like some shops that you go into and you like a piece of art and then you check the price and you're going OMG. That's not the case here. The artwork, the jewelry, and the everything else are what I would consider very reasonable. Overall, if you want a great piece of local art, this is an ideal business to purchase it from. read more

Love popping into Le Jardin whenever in New Orleans to check out the latest artists and uncover unique gifts for friends and family. First stumbled in after Swamp Dog & Friends consolidated to Le Jardin and I was searching for another print to add to our collection in our dining room and ended up discovering more local artists. Absolutely loved seeing some of the art still drying in the back area and the ability to find a gift (for family and friends or just us) so unique and special to New Orleans. Prices vary but the quality is there if you opt for a painting or other piece opposed to a print. read more

Selection is fabulous! Best of all the prices are reasonable. I bought a piece there yesterday!

Lovely shop with lots of local art to fit all moods/decors. I like to stop in this shop when I'm in the area to see what local artists they are carrying. Some items are originals and some are prints, but the prices reflect the difference. The staff is always friendly but lets you browse. And the shop is chockfull of every sort of local art that might interest you. read more

Mr. B! This review is long overdue! We stopped in to browse his shop/gallery and absolutely fell in love with his space (and him). Mr. B is kind, creative, smart and hospitable. His merchandise is gorgeous and ranges from jewelry, paintings, mugs, etc - which is all handcrafted and one of a kind pieces. My two friends brought a couple of pieces of jewelry and I brought the cutest mug with a face crafted on it. it's adorable! I will be back to shop more when I return to NOLA! See you soon Mr. B. Love, your Boston friends! read more

As a woman I would NOT recommend coming here alone. Like other reviewers said here and on Google - the business owner has anger problems and was extremely aggressive. Would not be surprised if he became physical with someone at some point. read more

I fell in love with this little cute local art store while on Royal street in the French-quarters New Orleans. I alway say, when you love art, art always has a way of finding you. I love local art and this place has plenty of it. It truly captures the true essence of New Orleans and it's culture. The guy who assisted me was very welcoming and helpful, the energy and ambience was very comforting while I was on my mission on finding the perfect piece for my travels art collection of local art work. I must say I left inspired and satisfied and my choice was Marie LAVEAU the voodoo queen of New Orleans. read more

This is my absolute favorite store in all of New Orleans. Everytime I go back to New Orleans I come to this store. A lot of the artwork and pieces in the store are one of a kind. If you purchase something here you'll probably won't find it somewhere else. That's really saying something especially since every couple of feet there's a store that selling the exact same tourist thing. The store itself is absolutely beautiful. It has a courtyard and workshop in the back filled with all kinds of items that'll take hours to look through. The only problem is that they keep odd hours. I remember going back to the store twice in one day when they were supposed to be open and weren't. It didn't stop me from trying though. It's always worth going back to. read more

WHERE DO I BEGIN? IT'S A PLEASURE TO WRITE THIS REVIEW. I found this jewel that I believe have been around for 15 years, and it was the highlight of my visit this go-round. Having family here, we visit a few times a year, and each time I'm looking for the best of New Orleans. This definitely makes the list! If you say you love art, you must come. I treated myself to some treats, but wish I could've purchased so much more. Adorned with the work of local artists, there's no way to walk away empty handed. I found this store on Yelp, and was so disappointed I couldn't get through the initial day that I planned, with all of the street closures due to Mardi Gras parades. But believe me when I say that I'm glad I pushed through. read more

Quick shout out....this is my 100th review!! Whoop whoop! I specifically chose to write about Le Jardin for this review since it was such a positive experience. I encountered Le Jardin first two years ago on a trip to NOLA. The many pieces of locally crafted art captivated me then and have left me longing for a specific piece of art that I saw at this shop - hand crafted bowls and places with the water meter symbol. It was a beautiful shop with great items then and it still is now. During a recent trip back down to this area I had it on my agenda to find this shop and buy these bowls I'd been searching for. Thankfully I found it! I was able to get my bowls, as well as some other gifts for friends. It's a beautiful shop in an amazing space that features unique architecture and both indoor and outdoor selling space. They have jewelry, ceramic work, magnets, bigger pieces of art, and all other sorts of things. It seems predominately locally produced and a unique alternative to the tacky mass produced gift shops you might find. Because they feature real art and not mass produced items, some items are a bit more expensive but they also have tons that is under $20. Besides if you're looking for a unique and quality item to remind you of your trip - Le Jardin is sure to deliver! Service was good during my visit. I had a dog with me and the sales lady allowed me to bring my pup in. She also very nicely wrapped up my breakables and put them in a nice bag with a handle. Very pleased with what this business offers customers and the quality of service the sales people provide! read more

This is a fabulous gallery/art/gift shop in NOLA. As a bonus, there is an excellent violinist who often plays very near. There were so many wonderful items by local artists - outside of the typical paintings, there were magnets, bottle openers, ornaments, jewelry, trivets, etc. all hand crafted. It's definitely worth a stop. read more

I love to visit here every time I visit NOLA. They always have a local changing collection of varied artists to meet many of your art desires. Side note, the store next to them is also owned by the same group, so the style is more refined inside, but with still great choices. If you need something for yourself or someone else, you can find it here as it is much better than another "been here" novelty shirt. read more

There must be another entry for Le Jardin, a gem of an art shop in the middle of the French Quarter. What makes Le Jardin unique, besides being an indoor-outdoor shop, is that practically every piece of art in there is locally created. Beautiful mirrors, jewelry, fence-post paintings, pottery, and lots of glass art -- all local. I fell in love with a piece by a local guy who made a mixed-media painting of a woman's back using an old rusted piece of metal. The prices are reasonable. I paid $17 for a pair of drop earrings made of a semiprecious stone on sterling silver. Wander in and support local art! read more

Such a great spot for accessible local art! The do have a few large pieces in the patio out back but for the most part everything is smaller and affordable. Given there are plenty of local galleries on Royal but this one always speaks to me - it's inviting and has a great mix of style, product, and price point. The patio out back is beautiful and segues into additional gallery space. Do be careful if you're carrying a bulky bag and don't want to buy the whole store - it's very narrow! read more

My favorite place to stop whenever we visit The Quarter. Mr. B is lovely and I absolutely enjoy visiting with him. The shop never fails to have new things for me to peruse and buy. From jewelry to garden art! Love it all! read more

This is review is for the next door store Adorn which based on their site appears to be connected to Le Jardin. We really enjoyed shopping at Adorn and ended up spending like $500 or so on a custom tile sign, some art, several pieces of jewelry and a few other little things that were very cute. Love this shop and love the local art that is in here and presented. The shop runner, now sure if she was the owner seemed to tire of us after a certain point which was kind of disappointing but maybe she was having an off day. At one point we were going to go back in but decided not to because we saw she was there again the next day and we didn't want to annoy her further. Other than that we did love this place and will most likely return for more art on our next NOLA adventure. read more

Le Jardin is one of my favorite shops in New Orleans. It's full of wonderful art, handmade jewelry, and other unique things and the owners are delightful. I stop in every time I am in town. The best part? The owner sees me once every few years but remembers me. And what I purchased! read more

I have been looking for a specific type of New Orleans style painting and Le Jardin had thee canvas painting I had been waiting for. Heather and Cliff were more than helpful and got me a great deal on the piece of my dreams!! I really appreciate when I meet art dealers that understand a love for art just like me, and that's what this place embodies. Thank you! I am as happy as a clam! read more

Found some quirky paintings that are perfect for our house. Lady working was incredibly friendly. Unique art finds.

Great shop owned by great local artists! The space is absolutely beautiful as is all the local art they sell. Perfect place to shop for local handmade jewelry, art, and gifts. read more

First off to start let me say I am a local and love this city and most of the people in it. Second the art in this store is amazing! They have alot of local historical based art here which was exactly what I have been looking for! After talking with the clerk I had made a couple of selections and had placed them on the counter and wanted to look at one last thing before I checked out. As I'm walking away I take a sip of my flask that I had removed from my pocket and the clerk proceeds to grab the art selections that I had placed on the counter and THROWS them and continues to ask me to leave the store. I asked what I had did to offend him or to get this kind of reaction and his response was "I have been here all day, I'm tired, and don't have time for this s&@t". As I was leaving I gave him a apology, even though I'm not sure why or for what". Needless to say I'm very offended and disappointed to be treated like this for no reason what so ever. read more

Just had the most wonderful shopping experience at Le Jardin! The owner might not want a flood of shoppers asking for the same favor he gave to me, so I will disguise the way he helped me. Let me say that when he recognized my enthusiasm for a certain piece of art he was selling, he offered to do me a huge favor related to it. The fact that he went out of his way to help me make a really great gift turn into something that is priceless (to my son), makes me say THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! Love that guy! read more
