I came out here out of literal desperation. After having Mexican food five days a week for the past 12 years in Southern California and having lived in Tijuana Baja Mexico for six months myself, I've become accustomed to a certain standard of Mexican food. And Oklahoma has disappointed me again and again and again to the point where I was on the verge of desperation. After talking to the nice fellows at Carrillo's tire repair, I begged them to tell me where the authentic Mexican food was regardless of Location and I was just begging them for something decent to eat. After much investigation they told me about Taqueria San Felipe. What a treat! No, what a BLESSING! Not only is a wonderful banda music playing but a nice atmosphere and that authentic feeling of at home diner and best of all they have all of the wonderful treats that I'm used to, chorizo, Al Pastor. delicious and wonderful chile tellenos and fresh Horchata and a wonderful attitude staff and I'm so happy to come here this is my new favorite place please bring all of your friends please come here this is the most authentic Mexican food you're going to get in the entire state I've tried them all. Highly recommended easy parking. ¡No, qué BENDICIÓN! ¡Las he probado todas! Altamente recomendado; fácil estacionamiento.

Located on the corner of Robinson and 26th St. in Capitol Hill, this place is a hidden treasure, so when I tell you don't walk, RUN to get here! They're open every day from 6 AM to 6 PM, making it the perfect morning pit stop. This isn't just a taqueria; it's a tortilla factory that supplies fresh tortillas to some of the most renowned restaurants in town. As soon as you step into this unassuming little slice of heaven, you're greeted by the rhythmic hum of the tortilla factory cranking out thousands of tortillas by hand. Watching someone stack and bag them at the end of the conveyor belt is a sight to behold. With over 27 years in business, they've mastered their craft, offering white corn, blue corn, and flour tortillas for tacos, plus larger flour ones perfect for burritos. The vibe was incredibly welcoming, and everyone was super friendly. The gentleman who took my order and cooked my tacos (I didn't catch his name, sadly) was a delight, as were the staff in the back making tortillas. They all looked and smiled warmly when I placed my order. Unfortunately, there's no place to sit down and eat inside, so everything is to-go, but that didn't dampen the experience. They offer a wide variety of drinks, including Jarritos, Boing!, canned and bottled sodas and other drinks, which was a nice touch, and you can even buy containers full of their house salsa, chips, and other packaged goods straight from the factory. I went for four tacos; since barbacoa and carnitas are only served on Fridays and Saturdays, I chose two asada, one chicken, and one al pastor, plus rice and beans with a can of Diet Coke. The tacos arrived dressed with fresh cilantro and onion, accompanied by sides of green and red salsa that were bursting with flavor and just the right amount of spice. Pure perfection! I also grabbed some tortillas to take home for my own Taco Tuesday dinner, and I can't wait to use them. This is an absolute must-try for any taco enthusiast. You can call in to order, and I'm already planning to swing by for tacos and burritos for my next big gathering. Do yourself a favor and visit, your stomach will thank, this place is a gem!

One guy was threatening patrons with violence. It's in the parking lot of a dirty gas station. Truck looks a bit run down and dirty. If they don't take care of the outside, I very much worry about the inside. But even worse was the service. We had to wait over 20 minutes for 3 measly tacos. After his wife up and left after taking our order, the guy cooking refused to acknowledge us. We could see our bag of tacos just sitting on the counter for a good 10 minutes. Eventually we received our food, at the same time as another customer who arrived 10 minutes after us. My hubby asked why we were overcharged and why it took so long, but guy refused to communicate. I'm guessing it was in some part due to a language barrier. So we just grabbed our food and got the heck out of there. As for the food, umm.. after that I hardly feel like talking food..They also screwed up our order. Tacos underfilled and small, but only $1. Asada was tough. Barbacoa also tough but pretty damn tasty. Tripas ($1.50) were cooked just right. So, if you are willing to put your life on the line to get ya some tacos. Go already. But if you have more sense, head elsewhere.
