I've been coming to Play It Again Sports (PIAS) since they first opened their Soquel location in…read morethe early 90's. PIAS is generally known throughout the area as being a solid place to come for your sports and fitness needs. One of the biggest differences between here and other sports stores, is that they feature new and used items! This is a great way to shop on a budget if you're looking to save some money, or buying for multiple kids / sports. They have gear and equipment for all major sports. For example, if you're looking for baseball equipment, they have several racks of baseball bats, plus baseball gloves, balls, helmets, catcher's gear, and even raglan style baseball tees and socks in many colors to accommodate whatever team your kid gets drafted to. They of course have other sports stuff for basketball, soccer, football, pickleball, and even lots of outdoor games for parties, picnics, and beach outings! There's also an entire downstairs basement type area that has gym / workout equipment . Everything from weights and dumbbell sets, to punching bags, to treadmills and ellipticals. The staircase is a little small, so be careful when going up or down. It had been a long time since I'd stepped into PIAS, so we thought it would be fun to stroll through on a recent trip to have breakfast nearby. The staff we all saw were younger looking dudes, but friendly and attentive. Somebody approached us when we were wandering downstairs to ask if we needed any help, and to not hesitate to ask if we did. It was fun to walk around and see all the different sports equipment and games they had. The space is relatively small, but is PACKED with stuff. I definitely recommend coming to Play It Again Sports if you're in need of anything sports or fitness related! IG: @bbnem.eats

Not sure why as we have NEVER bought anything from this location. Habit I guess?!?! In the past, the styles here were not of our taste, but it looks like that has changed. Much more "neutral" styles now. Atmosphere - I believe one of the first Patagonia Outlet stores opened. Decent size location. They even have a lounge area; see picture. Very clean, neat, organized location; see pictures. Plenty of mall parking. Restrooms (if needed) are in the rear of the building, a long walk. Not sure if they are Patagonia's or the mall's restrooms. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm; and on Sundays from 11am to 5pm. Service - Self service. Price - Above average, but that is the cost for quality (and service). Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1973. And thank you for also giving 1% to not-for-profit workers "to defend the earth." And having programs that raise awareness of environmental and social issues. My favorite program is Worn Wear. You can either sell Patagonia your used clothes or trade them in so they can fix it. I believe that reusing is better than recycling. Furthermore, they give you credit ranging from $15 to $150.
