I got over there and there was a hand written new schedule on the door. Open at noon instead. I had to take my wife to physical therapy and went by there at around 12:30. There were people sitting in their cars waiting to pick up stuff and she was still not open. That is no way to run a business and after 3 trips up there I chose one down the road and I'm glad I did because he did a great job and got them back me quickly. Think twice before you take anything to someone that is that irresponsible.

The people there probably do great work with clothing but this outcome was a bit ridiculous. All 3 of these Christmas stocking were done by the same lady. I took the correct one, the gingerbread one, in a few months ago while I finished the other 2. When I brought the other 2 in she said she remembered the gingerbread one because this process is so time consuming and intricate. I said I'd like her to do the same with the newest 2-the stocking shape with a hanger. I told her this twice. And she agreed that she remembered the first she did. When I came to pick them up they were sewn in a rectangular shape, like a placemat. I pointed out the shape and told her that I wanted a Christmas stocking. She said "you never told me that. You have to say that when you bring them in". I agreed to come back, an HOUR's drive from where I live, to get them. I get back and it's a half baked job. They don't even open, they're sewn shut. I'm pretty disappointed for driving so long thinking the Wichita area would have someone good. Could I have left it to have it redone a third time? Sure, but these take about 2-3 months to stitch and would cost a buyer about $350-$500 if I sold them. I didn't want to risk it and will need to find someone that knows what a Christmas stocking needs to look like. The first one turned out great, and I'm baffled as to why the others didn't unless she just didn't really want to do them and should have said so.

I mentioned that was a poor way to respond to a potential clients feelings and the owner proceeded to PRIVATE message me and other brides commenting on the post details about the original posters situation which I found insanely defensive and horrible business practice to share other customers situations to justify or defend themselves as an established business. Very aggressive and threatening for somewhere that should be kind and light hearted for brides to feel comfortable and excited about their wedding dress! I included messages he sent to people unrelated to the situation. I personally wouldn't want my full name and details included in private messages to strangers on the internet by a shop I visited.

My daughter went to pick it up when it was ready and the lady charged us $93. She told my daughter that they never quoted us the original price. I admit we should have got something in writing so that part was our fault. I guess I didn't think that we would be flat out lied to. And to add salt in the wound we purchased a $10 discount from Groupon and the woman wouldn't except it because she said that we "hadn't filled out the form correctly ". This place had us over a barrel because prom was two days away so we paid and wen on our way. So what was supposed to be a $67 alteration became a$103 job.
