Our mature ash tree had a limb which had grown so long that it hung over our neighbors roof. My…read morewife and I, were concerned that if the wind, or snow, ever snapped that tree limb, it would fall onto our neighbor's roof, and damage their home. The first tree service that we contacted made two appointments to come to our home to evaluate how best to address our concerns. That tree service failed to keep either of those two appointments. We called Lumber Jack & Jill Tree Service, and spoke with Toni, the office Administrator. She asked several questions to understand our situation. She then made a firm appointment for John, Jack & Jill's Estimator, to come to our house to see our issue. At that appointment John listened to what we needed done, and gave us a firm quote. When we agreed, John was able to set up the date that their tree crew would come to our home and trim our tree. At the appointed time the tree crew arrived at 7:30 am, with the skills and the equipment to safely remove that dangerous limb. They were friendly, and professional, as they listened to what we needed them to do. One man climbed up into our tree and fastened a rope attached high up in our tree, to the limb which needed to come down. He cut through the limb which we were concerned about, and it was safely lowered by rope into our yard. After that was accomplished, the crew removed several dead branches, and hauled everything out of our yard. Before they left the ground crew raked up and removed what small twigs and leaves which had fallen, leaving our yard looking better that it ever had. So, our experience with Lumber Jack & Jill Tree Service was very satisfactory. If you have a problem tree, I suggest that you call them!

He also assessed our large elm and recommended trimming for some overgrown branches that could come down in a storm and getting inoculated against a destructive elm beetle (he provided names of other companies that do the inoculation). He gave a discount for the two trees together. I really like that he cares about tree health in our area. They did a great job on both and cleaned up well. I even got some finely ground mulch from the dead tree's stump. When a storm knocked down some large branches from the elm that had been trimmed, they stopped by and removed the branches (no cost). They do great work and Brian is very responsive (I suggest calling Brian's cell phone since it takes longer to hear back after leaving messages at the office and he's more helpful.)
