We've had different styles and grooming services for him over the years, and he always looks sharp with his fresh post-trim bandana! We've boarded with them for several years and we've been happy with the number of a la cart care options available. I've never had a problem with scheduling and the staff is friendly and enjoy what they do. I'd recommend them!

The side room for cats is very small, with too many cat kennels in too small an area. The folks who work here seem friendly; Luke, in particular, was very kind to me and my cats. But the reception desk is in the dog grooming area, and chaos reigned during both my drop-off and pick-up visits, with too many people trying to do too much in too small an area. Super frustrating and inefficient. My cats were boarded at the Dawghouse for 5-6 nights. When I picked them up, the cat room was filthy, smelly, crowded with cats in individual kennels. I was told all cats had a chance to rotate in and out of their kennels for exercise time in the cat room at large. I have no way of knowing if/how this worked, but it seems a hard thing to manage with so many cats of different ages, temperaments, and health situations. At pick-up time, my two little boy cats were obviously stressed, they had lost weight, and their eyes & noses were goopy with upper respiratory infections, which required a trip to the vet. I will need to do a lot of traveling in the next several months, and I will be looking for a new boarding place for my cats.

They recommend that we try their sister hospital in Social Circle. After using Wellsprings boarding service twice with no issues at all, it made sense to use Social Circle Veterinary Hospital. This turned out to be a very bad decision. On Monday, we took our dog over for a walk through 5 days before leaving him for boarding, to see if he would have problem. No issues were noted and they said that he was ok to stay there. Saturday, we brought him to start his stay. They ask me sign a letter permitting them to give him Trazodone to use for relief of anxiety. I signed it thinking that it would not be needed, nor was it used during his previous stays at the sister site. During our trip I called them on the Wednesday to see how he was doing, they put me on hold to check his status. They came back to the phone and said they he was ok, he was eating ok and had just been out side. No mention of any issues or problems. Came back to pick him up on Thursday, and they told me they had to use Trazodone starting the day we brought him in Saturday. We never received a call on Saturday while we were still here, now anything during our trip. They did not contact our son who was listed to be contacted if something should happen. When I called, they did not mention that they had been giving him Trazodone starting the day we dropped him off. GSD are known to be active; they apparently were not prepared for this and decide to use this as an excuse to do a money grab. They added a doctor office visit $78.00, 100mg Trazodone $39.50 and jacked up the boarding stay from $29.00 a day to $50.70. I talked with Maggie about this and she said that there was a problem with communication and that she was going to look into it. Lesson learned the hard way make sure you know where you are boarding our pet and don't sign any medication waivers. I'm very disappointed at the recommendation that Wellsprings made. Their sister hospital leaves a lot to be desired, clearly, they are not operated, equipped or staffed the same.

There must have been some technology clitch and I never got the SMS saying my dog was ready. They finally called me to pick her up. Instead of believing me when I told them I hadnt gotten their texts (although I showed them my phone) they proceeded to charge me the penalty of a dollar for every minute past the grace period. I am not complaining about paying the penalty (I am fully aware it exists and understand why businesses need these policies). I am furious that they are unwilling to recognize there was a glitch and decided to not rely on my word, not trust the phone when I showed them I hadnt gotten their texts and disregards our history, and waive the penalty. An appt that usually costs around 80 plus tax and tip, today costs $194 without including tip!!!!!!! Here go the details if you are interested. When I dropped my dog off I was told I would be notified 30 min before she was ready and that it should take approximately 1 and a half hours to cut her hair. In the past I had shown up at the time I had been told when I dropped her off (although I hadnt gotten the text) and she hadnt been ready. Therefore I began to rely on the texts before going to pickup. Usually this was fine except for one occasion. I was told she would be ready around 4:30. Then I was texted that it was taking longer. We went back and forth and I finally decided to go and stand there at 7:30 pm and insisted on getting my dog. She was still wet. Although I never got an apology or a discount for the poor service, given the long relationship, I took my dog in today. Today I didnt het their texts. There must have been some sort of glitch. Given I wasnt responding to the texts they said they had sent me they finally called me 2.5 hours passed the time they told me she should be ready. I told them I hadnt gotten the text and they proceeded to tell me I should have shown up at the time they had given me upon drop off. Upon arrival I showed them I hadnt gotten their text. Then they told me I should have picked her up at the time I was given and shouldnt have waited for the text. I told them about my experiences in the past when I had shown up at the approximate times I was told, and the time I waited 4 hours and still got a wet dog. Anyways, my dog is fine, and has a great hair cut as always. When I get into the car, their texts started coming through. They told me they had charged my credit card 194 dollars. I was surprised that although I had shown them that I hadnt gottern their texts, they still charged me their penalty. No regard for hour history, and no recognizition of their previous mistakes that I had not complained about. They continue to fight with me over text. See pictures.

I booked the appointment online and uploaded her vaccine records in the online portal. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a member of the staff who took me through some questions and advised me of the process from there. Upon this initial intake, Duchess was checked for matted hair, upon which time I was advised that my appointment would cost more ($15 per matted area I believe). I found this to be completely reasonable since this would require more of Andrea's time to complete the service. I was texted a photo of Duchess when she was almost ready for pick up and I proceeded on my way back down to the establishment (earlier than I anticipated). Upon arrival, Andrea came out to speak with me about how Duchess did (she did great!) and give some advice for maintaining her coat and the schedule we should maintain. Duchess was very clearly treated well during her visit and did not show any signs of discomfort or anxiety when I picked her up. I will say that Andrea's prices are not cheap, which I am ok with given the quality of service and level of care with my pup. We have already scheduled our next appointment and look forward to seeing Andrea again.

I stumbled across this little gem about the time I arrived here, spoke with the owner and concluded I would eventually try it. Well after two years of bending over the tub in my bathroom and enduring much discomfort I tried it and I am hooked!! This was a wonderful experience for me and my pet. The owner and her son were wonderful in guiding me for my first visit. The equipment was easy to use and they provided these wonderful shammy towels which made it so easy to remove the excess water from his double coat before blow drying him. They also provide scrubbers for cleaning, shampoo, and conditioner as a part of the self serve cost. In addition, they provide nail trimming services (for those skirmish pet owners like myself) for a very reasonable fee. My dog also loved playing with the owner's son after his bath which was confirmation that I had found the right place. I am now a repeat, repeat customer.

Yes, you are washing your pet yourself.. Do it while the kids are in school or at day camp. Do it as a quick errand while you're out and about. Or just do it cause your baby needs a spa day.
