We walked in on a Saturday by 4:30pm it was busy the game was on Chargers was on but there was a wait. They were busy she said and only 2 servers?? This place used to have some of the best wings around, which is why this is so disappointing. The quality has absolutely fallen off. The wings were overcooked, dry to the bone, and tasted like they had been sitting out before being served. Charging $23 for 10 wings for food in that condition is ridiculous. At this point, it feels like this place is relying on its old reputation while serving food that no longer matches the price. If you're going to charge that much, at least serve wings that are fresh and actually enjoyable to eat. Either the kitchen needs to seriously get it together, or this place is going to keep losing the customers who used to actually love coming here...you lost me. read more

Tried again, and a no go... the hardest take for me was the boneless chicken being so dry, and not much sauce so asked for extra sauce and was charged $2 for a small cup of the buffalo sauce that came on my dry chicken... then an additional surcharge at the end as well as $1.50 for ranch... just can't do it again for a vibe. $100 for very sub par food. Great food, but this location is super busy. We stopped in during happy hour and had our dogs with us after a beach day. The patio was busy and and the only tables available were directly in the sun. The wait staff here was just okay, the service at the OB location was a lot better. Our server was slow and forgot to bring out the blue cheese dressing we requested several times. The wings and fries were good though and we also got a happy hour pitcher of beer that paired well with our meal. Stopped by during Christmas (2025) weekend and it was really packed!!! The parking lot by Dirty Birds was packed as well so we had to park by the Corvette diner and walk over. It was a 30 minutes wait for a table so we decided to sit at the bar. Excellent service from the bartender. We had the Nashville hot wings and chicken Cesar salad, they were good. First waiting to be seated due to signs the greeting was cold as we waited until after a couple of the girls finished their conversation from behind the bar. Food was surprisingly fast and after tasting, my wife and I figured out why. Food may be prepped in advance then dropped quickly for a new order. The fries tasted like they were double fried and hard in the center as well as the wings were on the slightly dry side. The Diablo flavor has always been my favorite and it's jus the right amount of spice that doesn't want to make you drink a gallon of milk after eating them. We've been coming here for a few years and always bring family when they're in town to visit. It's a fan favorite! It's a sports bar and wing place and the wings are always good! The 4 of us ordered 2 dirty ranch chicken tots/fries and it was plenty for the four of us. We all loved it. The fries/tots were cooked perfectly and the sauce and cheese and chicken compliment each other very well. Our drinks were all good and we appreciated that we were able to sample the ciders before ordering a glass. The dessert was a disappointment and not good. It was a brownie with ice cream and whipped cream. It was all low quality and the brownie was hard and lacked flavor. The ice cream was fine and the whipped cream had an odd flavor to it. Our server was very kind and helpful and attentive. She brought us out new silverware when needed and made sure we were always satisfied with our drinks. All were really good BAD -The wings were super SUPER dry like they had been sitting out for awhile and reheated. We doused it with ranch and other provided sauces but it was just too dry. On top of my sisters being dry, she said it was really greasy. -The sliders with onion rings. It was good, but it was cold. I don't usually complain about food being cold but it was cold. -The eardrum splitting music. I think I might need hearing aids now. Dirty Birds used to be the prime example of good wings in San Diego. The quality has gone down hill drastically while the prices keep increasing. These were some of the driest wings I've ever had. The wife ordered extra crispy/wet boneless and they were like rocks. (Should have not ordered extra cripsy so we will take the hit on that). I ordered a 10 piece bone in (Hawaiian and Flaming Honey Mustard) and these things must have been cooked in a reactor. Also the for being "flaming" honey mustard, table salt is spicier. Not sure if they forgot an ingredient or what. For $2 a wing I'd at least like the meat to come off the bone, not have the bones shatter from being over cooked.
