Came back for another go round... we have always loved the vibe at Dirty Birds!! It's the coolest place! But so disappointed in the food. Tried again, and a no go... the hardest take for me was the boneless chicken being so dry, and not much sauce so asked for extra sauce and was charged $2 for a small cup of the buffalo sauce that came on my dry chicken... then an additional surcharge at the end as well as $1.50 for ranch... just can't do it again for a vibe. $100 for very sub par food. So bummed..

I've always loved the salads a dirty birds. They're absolutely massive and really flavorful. My server convinced me to do fried chicken over grilled chicken with my salad, and it was a total hit.

Dirty birds truly has the best chicken wings! Always crisp and white meat chicken, u can also get all flats or all drum sticks if u ask and orders of 5, 10 or 15 with so many different varieties of flavors. I always end up sticking with the lemon pepper tho. 3 peat and Aztec wing flavors were really good tho. It has a elevated sports bar vibe.

Great food, but this location is super busy. We stopped in during happy hour and had our dogs with us after a beach day. The patio was busy and and the only tables available were directly in the sun. The wait staff here was just okay, the service at the OB location was a lot better. Our server was slow and forgot to bring out the blue cheese dressing we requested several times. The wings and fries were good though and we also got a happy hour pitcher of beer that paired well with our meal. Not sure if I would come back to this location, I prefer the OB location for their vibe.

Stopped by during Christmas (2025) weekend and it was really packed!!! The parking lot by Dirty Birds was packed as well so we had to park by the Corvette diner and walk over. It was a 30 minutes wait for a table so we decided to sit at the bar. Excellent service from the bartender. We had the Nashville hot wings and chicken Cesar salad, they were good. Plenty of restroom for customer use.

Dirty Birds is known for serving up some of the best wings in San Diego offering boneless and bone-in, over 40 flavors from no heat to really hot , and dry rubs to wet options. They have multiple locations including Liberty Station (Point Loma) (where we went), Pacific Beach, UCSD, College Area, and Ocean Beach. I'm a sucker for anything so of course we got their spicy garlic sauce on the wings, which was so flavorful and had the perfect amount of heat . We also really enjoyed their dirty tots, super nachos and of course crispy pickles, which are always a must when we see them on a menu - you can't go wrong with anything on their menu and most options were super kid friendly! We ordered: Boneless and Bone-in wings in Spicy Garlic Mozzarella sticks Crispy pickles Dirty chicken tots Super nachos with steak Aztec fries Honey mustard chicken salad Macaroni and cheese (for our daughter) Prickly Pear Watermelon margarita Follow @allthingsfoodwithjandm (IG) for more must try San Diego restaurants, date night ideas, food experiences, kid friendly spots, with a sprinkling of home-cooking!

Tons of options though definitely room to improve. First waiting to be seated due to signs the greeting was cold as we waited until after a couple of the girls finished their conversation from behind the bar. Food was surprisingly fast and after tasting, my wife and I figured out why. Food may be prepped in advance then dropped quickly for a new order. The fries tasted like they were double fried and hard in the center as well as the wings were on the slightly dry side. I may be back to give it a second try but my first impression wasn't the best.

Skye P was amazing! Very attentive and so sweet! She helped me give crap to my boyfriend who was going to "eat so many wings". Clearly he did terrible at that but we had a great date night thanks to the awesome service !

Absolutely love this DB location! We came here to enjoy a Padres game on a saturday night and it wasn't too busy. We were seated promptly, served quickly, and able to enjoy most of the game before giving up on the Pads. The standout was absolutely the cheddar breaded cauliflower with dirty ranch. This is one of the best things i've ever had the honor of tasting. My meat eating boyfriend also said these stole the show. Would highly recommend! The best sauce around.

We came with a large group on a weekday around lunch. Wasn't crowded and convenient that they have parking next to the building. Service was good and the food was good. Also had on a great playlist!

Andrea C.

Many flavors of wings to choose from! They have a variety of bar food/sando and wings. You'll find some unique flavors like Fireball which has a whiskey glaze. However, the wing was a bit overcooked and dried on the inside. The store has indoor and outdoor seating. Great for large parties or snack area from the mini golf next door. The staff are friendly.

It starts with 10 juicy pieces of plump chicken thighs in a light and crisy batter tossed in your choice of sauce, with additional rounds of 5 pieces each. Our server was super attentive, making perfectly timed stops by our table AND continuing to serve us while we were in the game room embroiled in the battle of the walking dead and other retro games. Our bartender Mike was great, and may Mai Thai ($14) defiantly did what it needed to do. It was sweet, strong and served with the cutest bear-shaped glass with a beautiful purple flower on top. One drink had a girl feeling tipsy. We ordered from the late-night "midnight Bites" menu, which was the only thing we could choose from at the hour of our visit. Everything we selected was really good. Wed got the Frito Pie ($12), Chicken thigh tenders ($7), and Tots ($7). The frito pie presentation was my second favorite part (after the bear glass drink), It came in a all-clad style bowl with the chip bag cut open inside, loaded with Texas-style chilli, melted nacho cheese, and shredded cheese. It was so good I even started adding tots in there too. The tots and Thigh tenders had the perfect crisp! They have sweet and sour chili sauce for dipping with the chicken which was fab! The retro decor made the place even better. I loved seeing the old Blockbuster VHS tapes and music cassettes displayed around the bar. My little eye also spot the Dallas Cowboys flag! Texas energy is definitely in the house. There's also a small arcade area in the back, and my eyes instantly lit up seeing PAC-Man. We didn't get to fully explore the game room because we were trying to make it to Ghirardelli Ice cream & Chocolate shop for dessert before they closed at midnight too. Thankfully everything worked out perfectly since our car was parked right in front of Ghirardelli. NO military discount was honored here even though the owner is a veteran, but overall I still had a really good experience and would definitely come back whenever I'm in the Gaslamp district in SD, Cali. (Oops posted it on a smoke shop in Texas. This review was meant to be shared here) Update: Response to owner: Joe V. That was the best response from any owner I have ever received!!! I love that you mentioned yall haven't been mistaken for a smoke shop in Texas, that Mai Thai last mea bit. Yes sir I reckon it did.

I actually ended up calling the Tavern and Bowl to see if they had any earlier reservations and they told me if the person who requested an earlier time didn't pay the deposit I'd get the time slot. I am so lucky because these people didn't pay their deposit and we got the time and the lane. Cute thing, you can actually have kids come too, my niece who is 5 got to come along and they had a little device for her so she can push the ball, she ended up beating me. Everyone was so kind and service was so smooth and efficient, we got to bring donuts for our party and my husband and I ordered the carnitas nachos, they were delicious. Captain's Log, Stardate 21483…read more This past Sunday, I charted a course to Nicky Rottens in Coronado, a delightful establishment located at the end of Orange Avenue. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an uplifting open-air environment, truly a breath of fresh air that felt like stepping onto the observation deck of the USS Enterprise. The amazing views of the bay were nothing short of spectacular, bringing a serene beauty that rivals the finest star systems. Over the years, my wife, her girlfriend, and I have become frequent travelers to this culinary haven, beaming back for nearly 15 years--a testament to its enduring allure. The selection of IPAs and mixed drinks is impressive, catering to even the most discerning palates in the galaxy. The choices are vast enough to satisfy anyone embarking on this flavor exploration, whether you prefer a refreshing drink to toast a successful mission or something bolder, like a phaser on stun! The menu features a delightful array of options, including fresh salads, tantalizing finger foods, and, of course, their famed burgers. My wife's enthusiasm for the offerings has always been infectious, and during this visit, she and her girlfriend were on a culinary adventure of their own, indulging in the flavors that have made Nicky Rottens a local favorite. The burgers are truly out of this world--juicy, flavorful, and expertly crafted to ensure a warp-speed experience with every bite. You'll find that each dish is prepared with precision, as if overseen by a skilled chef with the abilities of a Vulcan and the passion of a true culinary Starfleet officer. In conclusion, Nicky Rottens is a prime destination for anyone seeking a vibrant atmosphere, stunning views, and a solid meal. I can confidently say that if you ever find yourself in Coronado, this establishment is a must-visit. After all, it's just one small step for man, and one giant leap into deliciousness!
