Racism and Unfair Discrimination to Minors…read more Me and my brothers decide to come to this theater to watch the new Digital Circus movie that came out today. We booked our tickets for 7:00PM earlier before this day came. We were all highly anticipated for this day. It was only my 18-year-old brother (a legal adult), my 16-year-old brother, and myself (15). Because we were accompanied by an adult, there was absolutely no policy violation. When we walked up the stairs to get our tickets scanned, the employee completely shifted her demeanor. As we showed her our tickets and what movie we were going to watch (and 90 percent of the people in the theaters at that time were likely to see the same movie we were anticipating seeing), she began staring us down aggressively and demanded our ages. My older brother said he was 18, she then turned to my other brother and asked for his age. He stated he was 16. Despite my brother being a legal adult, the employee deadpan stated, "Nope, you can't watch this, get another movie ticket," claiming we needed a "guardian." Unbelievable! We saw multiple groups of other teenagers and even literal 7-year-olds carrying blankets walking in completely unbothered. The younger children had parents of course, but that doesn't explain why we were rejected. The show is independently produced and rated PG-13 (even this theater listed it as an unrated movie) meaning even if my 18-year-old brother wasn't there, a 15 and 16-year-old are fully permitted to buy tickets . This feels targeted because we were the only Black customers in line, and we were the only group targeted, interrogated, and turned away. We ultimately had to get a refund. The employee in question was a short, older woman with red hair. Her behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional, discriminatory, and downright inappropriate. We went home feeling absolutely upset, and we pre-bought these tickets. I have already sent an official email to leevista@epic-theatres.com with our exact booking reference number and clothing descriptions so they can pull the security footage to know this isn't a fabricated lie.

And it couldn't be located any better right outside of Universal Studios. I had only interacted with a few of the wraps there, but the staff seemed friendly. The theater appeared to be very clean, with it really modern presentation of everything. My only thing, is that it was colder than the witches... I don't know, personality. I went from hot and humid outside to shivering for about 2 and 1/2 hours, hoping that I don't get sick. My only comfort was my popcorn, but it was cold and rubbery. So I can't say it ever eat the popcorn there ever again. Popcorn is one of those make it or break it variables in life. It's really hard to mess up fresh popped popcorn. Maybe it's just their combination of vendors or something, or just not enough guests to keep it continuously popping. For that, I docked it a star. If I could, a star and a half. Two stars would have felt unreasonable, but it doesn't allow me to do one and a half stars so I'll just have to settle with the minus one.

Going to the movies can be expensive these days, so it really helps out a lot to save some bucks. We got two popcorn combos with a candy and a drink to enjoy during the movie. The seats and theater was very clean and cozy. The weird part was the restrooms and where they were located. You either go up or downstairs to a movie, but the restrooms are in the middle. There's no way that can be changed unless the whole building is remodeled. It was a nice experience overall.

We've been here as Harvest Host guests in our RV several times now. I make it a point to reserve…read morehere whenever we arrive to/leave from Central Florida because it is so enjoyable. We are always greeted warmly, parked strategically, and had the details explained to us upon arrival. Because our motorhome is 40' we have to park sideways so cannot see the movies out of the windshield as you would in a car, but we put out our lawn chairs and raised dog bed outside the rig and listen on our FM radio. We do tie the pups off to a post in front of us because others with dogs often park or walk nearby and ours are a bit too friendly. When the ticket booth opens, we pay for our tickets and concession voucher. The muffulettas and popcorn are both excellent! We were told we could run our generator before/after the movies but not during...worked out perfectly for us! Although our rig is self contained and didn't use them, bathrooms were nearby and open through the night. The even projected a free Valentines message between films as long as it was received a few days prior. Note: if you don't plan to listen from your car, you do need an FM radio...I don't think they have any of the old-fashioned window hanging speakers.

We accidentally lined up incorrectly and got a whole lecture how to read the signs. After paying $6 each and being charged an automatic $10 food voucher, we parked. The ladies working the concession stand are so rude. There's a sign that basically says "don't line up if you don't know what you want." The popcorn had been popped earlier so it wasn't warm and way too salty. The soda was flat, and the mozzarella sticks were again, salty. Apple Pay doesn't work! Movie started at 8pm and it was still daylight outside. The screen was still dark that no one could actually see the movie until an hour later. The instructions were to turn off the lights and engine, but the people around us had their engines on so the exhaust kept flowing through the lot. I wish there was an attendant that enforced the rules. Overall, it's an experience but they need to do better. I guess this is what $22 gets us.
