I'm not from around these parts, and I wanted to try a local place so I could review it. Well at…read more3pm on a Saturday, I could not find a place to serve me that had a full menu. The nearby Mexican place was serving, but I had Mexican recently. One place stopped serving at 2 and started serving at 4, a buffet was throwing their food out to prepare for dinner, and most bars had a very limited menu. Why is it is hard to find food at 3pm on a Saturday This place didn't had food either, but they were hosting a local fundraiser/bakesale for a family who suffered a major health problem, and I got lucky with my food. I digress, time to actually review this place. I like the fact that the owners are willing to lend their small venue area for a fundraiser. There were some musicians loading in speakers, so it's cool that they have live music too. This place has a bunch of Dart Boards and actually was hosting a dart tournament too. There are electronic slots too if that's your thing. Coming from Chicago, I was pleasantly happy with the prices. $3 for well rum and coke. Even lower during a special if I read a sign correctly. They had a few smaller TVs playing the Cubs game (in standard definition, what year is this??). In the end, I didn't have much interaction with services and consumables provided by this place. It lost a star due to SD sports, and the fact that everyone glared at me when I walked in, something that usually happens to me when I walk into country bars. But it seems like a nice place, cheap prices and wiling to help the local community, which is great.

Great bar great service drinks are cheap great music bands nice bar to relax to and enjoy yourselfread more

We have been coming here for years. It's a three day music festival, We go 2 days. If your not a…read morefan of camping out roughing it a bit, a alot of hippies, lol then this is not the place for you. Over a hundred bands for every music taste. We usually go in a big group, like 10 people, have to bring a tent, cooler full of food and water, plenty of blankets, we personally bring camping chairs, a blow up mattress, battery operated lantern, and a portable electric generator with USB attachment so I guess that's not the definition of roughing it. Music goes pretty much all night into the morning they do have food vendors and vendors for those who forgot all the basics. It's not what it used to be, much more crowded and people that are there for the wrong reasons. But for the majority of campers...(called Scampers)are super kind and happy to be there. It's true that the police are on the lookout for people that are speeding and once you get into town, but I think that's mostly because there are people that dont respect the town, or are partaking in illegal activity. If you love music, hanging out with your friends, a are a bit of a hippie at heart then give it a try. Think Woodstock with camping, and way more more organized. I agree the porta potties are pretty icky after the first day, but I have never met a porta potty I have liked. Pack baby wipes and hand sanitizer. Happy Scamping!
