After 11 years of service, we move, and i still get charged a $160 fee bcz im 'under contract' ........ but yet the guy on the line is like, we would like you back as a customer in the future...... lol NO WAY... 11 years of loyalty rewarded with a $160 disconnect fee bcz i am moving and dont want to get directv in my new location. A salesman for Dish Network came by my fathers house in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and coerced him…read moreinto changing over to Dish Network, on Friday. He was told they had 30 days to cancel. He never signed a contract but he did give them his bank account info. Monday he cancelled the dish and had the cable company come back and put his cable back on. Now Dish has sent my step-mom 18 e-mails telling her they have to pay $530 to cancel the contract. They are harassing my elderly father and his wife. We can't get them to stop. My step-mom is about to have a nervous breakdown.

They took away chairs so you'll be uncomfortable standing and possibly not wait? I was there with someone that had a newborn but they felt he should stand there for 3 hours because their upsell is more important than his baby. The woman in front of me was 86- they let her stand- she was just trying to pay a bill - not be upsold. It's disgusting. The elderly man trying to keep the 2 year old with him entertained while he was just trying to pay a bill for 3 hours! Whoever makes these decisions for this store clearly has zero respect, compassion or care for their paying customers.

These people have no problem at all in leading you to believe that your former account is…read morecompletely paid off and transferred over to someone else in good standing. They are perfectly okay to go literally MONTHS on end without contacting you in any way or for whatsoever--no phone calls, no text messages, no emails, and no postal letters. They are cool in lying by omission by not contacting you and causing you to let your guard down, and think that everything is cool on their end. Then, one fine day, you get a surprise email from them, telling you that you still owe $289.17 on an account, and it was due and payable 3 weeks ago. Then, after you physically go into their office and pay the bill, they are perfectly okay to send you a threatening letter via postal mail. This postal mail can falsely accuse you of not having paid your (surprise) delinquent bill. Also, this harassing and threatening letter may well claim that they are planning on turning your name over to to a collection agency. Verbatim, their threat is as follows: "If the balance is not paid immediately, CDE Lightband will transfer the past due balance to your active account and is subject to termination immediately. If there is no active account, CDE Lightband will refer this debt to a collection agency, which could affect your credit rating." It is quite amazing, isn't it? They reserve the right to keep you completely in the dark for literally MONTHS on end with no communication whatsoever. Then, MIRACULOUSLY, they obtain the ability to send you both emails and postal mail, and they act as if it is a code red Federal state of emergency, and start threatening you. In a great ironic twist, at the bottom of their threat letter, they write the phrase, "Continuous Dedication to Excellence." Get it? CDE? What a blatant lie and a sick joke. It should say "Constant Deflection and Evasion."

There's a lot more unsatisfied folks with your service. Don't let the number 74 (reviews) fool…read moreyou!! When selecting the cde app, I'm always asked to enter my password and the app starts prior to entering information. What is the purpose of this requirement? There is a box that pops up stating an "update"; however, it then says "app not installed". Looks like there are possible security issues at hand.

I called every couple hours, left two voicemails and eventually got the message that their voicemail box was full. Essentially, they ghosted me and I had to scramble to find someone else as I was on a time crunch. Disappointed because this place had a 5 star rating.
