We select GREAT now because of our recent Saturday, 07/27/2024, repair visit from Ilham, MIDCO…read moreTech. From the start of Midco making a change to wireless, it has been a nightmare. Various techs have been here changed the modem 2 different times and still same problem would continue. TV and internet stops working, with TV a constant (Circle of Loading Video). Most of the time rebooting would get everything up and running,,,,,maybe for and hour maybe for a day, we never new when it would stop working. Ilham started at the modem which was located under the TV in our living room. The cable coming to it from the basement tested very poor...in the basement the cable from outside was very good in quality signal. Here he removed an old splitter that was not needed, moved the Modem to the basement. Also noted the AC power supply was not the usual that is normally a part of a modem package. Long story, however, all is functioning perfectly!!! Midco is fortunate to have someone like Ilham as a tech. Dave Haug, West Fargo

They seem to intentionally make their website run slowly when trying to change your services. The rest of the website loads instantly until you click "change services." Looking forward to the other internet services taking over with far superior capabilities. Actually using fiber connections instead of cheaping out on copper lines.

The person I spoke with was nice and informed me that Tuesday, between 12:30~4:30, was the earliest someone could come out to my apartment. Ok. No problem. Tuesday rolls around and I get home around 12:00pm. I get an email from the property manager that the internet issue was apartment wide and that someone had come out to fix it and all should be working, if not, we should call them to get additional support. I call in to explain that my internet was still down and wanted to comfirm that someone was still coming between 12:30~4:30. "Yes, someone will be there between now and no later than 4:30pm. 5:00pm and I decide to call and inquire about the technician. I was told by the manager that another ticket had opened up at 2:00pm regarding a flooding in the area that needed to be fixed and all previous tickets for the apartment had been placed on hold until the other issue had been resolved. Now, I would have been understanding if someone had called to inform me of the situation between 2~3, but the manager could only reply that there were too many tickets...implying they didn't want to call all the waiting customers to update them on the delay. Very poor customer service, bad management response, and lack of sympathy when I complained about waiting hours for someone who never showed up. I wasted 4 1/2 hours when I had other things I could have been doing and I get a "sorry". Whatever changed at the end of 2016 has not worked for this company. Check out their stock and you'll see what I mean. If it's new management, no offense, it may be time for another change. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the people taking the initial call are nice and polite, but processes are obviously lacking for management when unexpected situations occur.

And so on and so on.......until literally 6 days later with no cable and Internet because my last provider was cancelled. This was a direct tv install and they are contracted with them or were. Called them with no answer. So then I called direct tv directly and told them to get their stuff out of my living room I'm done with them and their poor service. Direct tv billed my card on file for $470 worth of a cancelled contract. Funny cause I didn't sign anything because the install wasn't even finished and I had no service at all. They also charged me for a full month of service at $75, and a couple other bogus fees. Called the management of the service center and described the situation and he told me basically to get bent. Complained to the BBB, and to the state. The state called me a few years later asking for a statement, wanted me part of a big law suit against direct tv experiencing the same thing. Never heard the result. All might have been ok if they finished my install (satellite solutions), but with a law suit against direct tv I'm doubting I'd be happy. Never again will I trust direct tv or satellite solutions. Cost me 575 that I didn't get back.
