My Internet has worked perfectly from day 1 and runs all my devices with ease. I do some pretty heavy gaming with it, no lag or issues. Customer service was great to me and prompt. They worked with me on a late bill instead of just shutting it off instantly, the only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because of the $100 installation fee and the price after promotional pricing for the first 6 months goes up making it just a little more expensive than I am comfortable with. Installation should be free if you want me to use your service

The person I spoke with was nice and informed me that Tuesday, between 12:30~4:30, was the earliest someone could come out to my apartment. Ok. No problem. Tuesday rolls around and I get home around 12:00pm. I get an email from the property manager that the internet issue was apartment wide and that someone had come out to fix it and all should be working, if not, we should call them to get additional support. I call in to explain that my internet was still down and wanted to comfirm that someone was still coming between 12:30~4:30. "Yes, someone will be there between now and no later than 4:30pm. 5:00pm and I decide to call and inquire about the technician. I was told by the manager that another ticket had opened up at 2:00pm regarding a flooding in the area that needed to be fixed and all previous tickets for the apartment had been placed on hold until the other issue had been resolved. Now, I would have been understanding if someone had called to inform me of the situation between 2~3, but the manager could only reply that there were too many tickets...implying they didn't want to call all the waiting customers to update them on the delay. Very poor customer service, bad management response, and lack of sympathy when I complained about waiting hours for someone who never showed up. I wasted 4 1/2 hours when I had other things I could have been doing and I get a "sorry". Whatever changed at the end of 2016 has not worked for this company. Check out their stock and you'll see what I mean. If it's new management, no offense, it may be time for another change. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the people taking the initial call are nice and polite, but processes are obviously lacking for management when unexpected situations occur.

And so on and so on.......until literally 6 days later with no cable and Internet because my last provider was cancelled. This was a direct tv install and they are contracted with them or were. Called them with no answer. So then I called direct tv directly and told them to get their stuff out of my living room I'm done with them and their poor service. Direct tv billed my card on file for $470 worth of a cancelled contract. Funny cause I didn't sign anything because the install wasn't even finished and I had no service at all. They also charged me for a full month of service at $75, and a couple other bogus fees. Called the management of the service center and described the situation and he told me basically to get bent. Complained to the BBB, and to the state. The state called me a few years later asking for a statement, wanted me part of a big law suit against direct tv experiencing the same thing. Never heard the result. All might have been ok if they finished my install (satellite solutions), but with a law suit against direct tv I'm doubting I'd be happy. Never again will I trust direct tv or satellite solutions. Cost me 575 that I didn't get back.

Last night (March 31, 2021) two of our Motorola signal receiving devices failed and listed that the cards were not activated. They have been working like "champs' for years so this was surprising. Last night I contacted technical support and received a recorded message that a signal would be sent to these devices and within thirty minutes they would work - but they did not. I had meetings last night so I decided to wait until this morning only to be frustrated with the technical support that informed me the two boxes were not registered with Sparklight...this was after a prolong wait. I have had these boxes working for years and had received them from, then, Cableone. Why did they suddenly quit working? Frustrated and I asked if the Fargo office was re-opened for the public and when the tech person said the office was now open so I took off for Page Drive. At this point the story gets much better. SHAWNA DAVIS was exceptional. She was patient with me and listened to me repeat my story. Patient and listened - key attitudes for customer service. From that point she worked to solve the problem. I felt that she was working to help me. She was not a "talking head" spouting a company line but was listening and worked to solve the problem. I left feeling better about Sparkwire than when I entered the building and it was because of Shawna! Again, the operative words are listened, was patient and worked to solve the customer's problem. She could run a course to train new staff in customer service! Shawna worked to have me leave a satisfied customer and I am very grateful for her efforts! She represents the best of Sparklight. Horrible customer service, when you call there is only option to pay bill not to talk to anybody…read more They charge you a fee to make service calls, no other tv company i have had does that. Worst of all they always have my bill wrong it always says way more than it is suppose to be and you cant even get a hold of some to straighten it out. Also as bonus my online account constantly locks me out , I have to change password every time i log in even though i know its right password.

I signed up for directv and was told I would be getting a 200.00 prepaid visa and it would take a…read moremonth to get. After 6 weeks I finally received it, but only 100.00. I called and they said it was only 100.00 I got. After being on the phone with them for 40 minutes nothing was solved. I had to ask them about it being recorded and that's when they said they could listen to that and I would receive a call 48 to 72 hours later. I am very upset with them and you are always either put on hold or transferred somewhere else.
