I really tried to give Direct Print Inc business. I signed up for an account. I used the form they have on their home page (http://directprinttoday.com/), uploaded 2 simple PDF files and asked a couple questions. A day goes by and I don't even receive so much as an auto-responder, and yes I checked my spam folder. So I call and politely ask about the order. "Sorry, we can't take any orders online, you have to come into the business." And that's my story. read more

I would give this business no stars! If you want to save your money and not waste it, do not come here! I needed files to be printed out, as I'm having printer issues. I used them twice before and had no issues. Simply email them PDF versions of what I needed and they print it out. Not this time around. I emailed in the morning, and my sister went to pick up the print job. They didn't have it ready, as they weren't aware of the email sent a couple of hours prior. My sister had no issue waiting. She received them and left. I looked over the documents: faded pages, pages missing, and we only received one copy of the files I asked to be printed. I called and spoke to this woman. She was unprofessional, rude, and kept making irrelevant statements, that had nothing to do with the issue at hand--a horrible service and not fully complete, and we were charged. Finally, she was able to comprehend and said my sister could come back the next day, to exchange it at no cost. My sister showed up and that same woman said we would have to pay another $60 to have everything redone. She had the gall to say that employees don't read the email body, they only print out files. Um, what?! How would you know what the customer wants and how they want it done if you don't read the request in the email?! My sister took back the print job and is now on her way to Village Copier on Amsterdam. Lovely and professional people. Also, they're much cheaper. With Harlem being rapidly gentrified and local businesses are being impacted greatly, I try to support them. I'm rightfully scratching this one off my list. Do. Better. I went to place recommended by the funeral home for funeral programs . After I paid and picked up the programs, it was not to the to the standard as the sample I was shown . It was to late to get it done elsewhere because the funeral was the next day . They refused to give a partial or full refund . Horrible horrible horrible there have the worst customer service and very rude if place and order with place and they mess it up there going make it seem like it's your fault. U have I recommend recording your self placing order cause that will be your only source to show what u wanted. UNBELIEVABLE - That's the best term to describe this place, also unprofessional and unorganized. I loathe going to this place but I found myself there whenever I needed internet access and my smartphone wouldn't do. Today I asked for a computer (after being ignored for the first 5 mins I was standing in line) the lady charges me 4 dollars, then I go to the computer and its not working, they "fix" it, then the internet is off, so when I ask for my money back because I had to go back to work the lady scoffs at me and gives me an attitude and practically shoved the money back in my hand. I've used this printing service a few times and within those few times I'm endured so much unprofessionalism by the staff. They will try to charge you more then what you've originally paid for something. Staff has become combative, thrown receipts, tried to add extra charges once the order is paid in full. The customer service is horrible. They are greedy and the service is not what they are charging. I will never go there for my small business again. read more

Direct Print seems like a decent store, though I can't comment on their supplies or printing capabilities. If you're at the DMV and have an incorrect document or need something faxed from your insurance carrier, this is where they tell you to go. Sweet deal if you're Direct Print. Today I had to go not once but TWICE because Geico is incompetent. They were very nice and let me print there, but the internet access was $2 to print out something. I mean i guess overall, in my dire need, this is an ok price, but it seems steep. oh well. read more

I always try to support neighborhood businesses but this recent interaction left me disappointed and angry. Recently I needed to have a program printed for an upcoming event. I went to this location and spoke with RJ who gave me a price quote. Although I thought the price was high, I agreed to it because my time was short and I needed the program quickly. I left a copy of the program but was told that I should forward a copy electronically. After returning home I learned of a change that had to be made on the copy I had left at the location. I made the change and forwarded a revised document for printing on Saturday. Today (Tuesday) when I went to collect the program I was told that there was a problem with the program but they had printed it anyway because they had tried to reach me but the call had gone directly to Voicemail. On the finished program several words are cut-off because the margins had shifted. I was told that I would need to pay for the entire job again to have it re-run. My issue is, if there was a problem, why did RJ run the job without speaking with me? One call to Voicemail does not suffice. Poor customer service. I will not recommend nor will I use this business again. read more

I got some programs printed for a fundraiser event I'm doing and I got one-to-one service on the spot when I walked in. Prices are so reasonable for printing, even in color. It was $110 for 100 color programs and 100 card stock pledge cards. So much cheaper than Staples and they did a beautiful job. He even cut out the pledge cards for me. This store can do a lot more than you might think and they stock a lot of office and mailing supplies. My new go-to!! read more

This is the worst business I have ever been to. As a print shop, it said a lot when they were unable to open up the same file that I'd printed there 7 months ago. The back of the store was also extremely rude. When walking in, I heard them talking poorly about members of their community and this energy continued when they interacted with me. I was talked down to because I did not use the right terminology for a simple job and then I was blamed for every mistake they made despite receiving contrasting instructions from every staff member working. Quick and easy to work with. The stay is extremely helpful. I had a last minute order due the same day on a Sunday morning. The staff in the back help me. Fix the errors and print on the paper needed double sided and stapled the programs together. I walked in about 10:15 and was done by 11:15. read more

Fantastic spot! I was hesitant to visit after reading some of the reviews here, but I took a trip to print several photo transfers. Awesome surprise. The facility is huge, and they do everything from embroidery, large-format printing, silk-screen, and so much more. After my purchase, the owner actually took 20 minutes of his own time to make sure I knew how to correctly contour cut, use opaque material, and heat the transfer on. The staff is very respectful, and the service is fast. They are very attentive, and the prints were of great quality. Overall, I'm satisfied and I'll be returning in the future. I would love to see the owner and ask him if he's serious about keeping this business competitive. If so he has to get rid of the useless workers he has working there. They can't find orders, can't take orders, nor do they have the least bit of skills when it comes to dealing with customers. The tall lady should feel incompetent instead she is working in a print shop acting like shes princess Di (but the broke print shop version if there is such a thing). I was a big fan of Staples until Staples lost my orders of flyer's, with little time left I rushed to Direct Print and they were so helpful. I needed some custom printed shirts on very short notice for an event. I decided to walk into Direct Print. I was shocked at how busy this place is? I mean extremely busy! The staff took my order, called the owner who approved the rush order and I had my customized shirts in 2 days. Everybody loved their shirts and they really helped advertise my business. I bought 2 designs to have tee shirts printed. I talked with Lashaun (not sure of the spelling of her name) the set up and print person about the designs. She wrote down the everything and we discussed that I wanted numbers placed on the sleeves of the tee shirts. On the day I bought the shirts in (I supplied my own), Lashaun was not there and I spoke to Travis who really didn't seem interested but we discussed the proofs that Lashaun sent me via text anyway. I said I did not like how they looked. He told me that the proof looked like that because they were not on the shirt that they were on a canvas or something. Travis said they were exactly like the design I sent in. I said I did not see the numbers that were to go on the sleeves which were on the picture Lashawn made. He pulled out the picture and I pointed them out to him. He said they would be there once the shirts were printed. On the day I came to pick up the shirts Lashaun printed the numbers on the back of the sleeves. At first, I didn't even notice because the shirt was already printed. I was only focused on the front of the shirt.But, when she start to print the numbers on the 2nd shirt she was going to print them on the back as well and she was showing me the numbers and where she was going to place them and I stopped her and told her no place them on the center of the sleeve. That's when I asked her where were the numbers on the the first shirt and she said Travis told her that I told him to put the numbers on the back of the sleeve. I have never seen a tee shirt or a sweat shirt or any shirt with numbers printed on the back of the sleeves. Travis lied. We never discussed placement of the numbers. As setup and print designers that should have come across as odd to one or both of them. Lashaun should have verified. Now, Lashawn says that the only remedy is for me to reprint the shirt and they won't charge me for the numbers on the sleeves. That's another $40. Really? I never approved the design. I only bought in the tee shirts. I don't know if I have enough time to go through the process again. It's a special size shirt so now I have to go buy another tee shirt, get it to them and wait while they re-create the design all over again all because of the non professionalism of Travis and Lashaun. As for the 2nd shirt. The lettering came out ok but the clipart was sloppy. If I'm going to spend more time and money on Direct Print, maybe I should spend it in small claims court. If you still choose to use this company for personalized tee shirts, I would suggest you be there when they print your shirts. read more

Went here for resume, I should have know a women with an accident was extremely rude expressing her desire not to do the work. I must say the girl who is usually at the counter with glasses was very professional. Unfortunately the resume was of the poorest quality. Poor spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, etc, etc . I just had probably my worst experience in a business. These people are very very unprofessional and shouldn't even be in business. I gave them 10 of my Tshirts to print and after 3 weeks they were incapable of making them. I heard from them while living in New Jersey so I wanted to try. Wrong move I should have never. They took my down deposit and promised me that my designs will be ready today. I get there all exited and this RUDE receptionist tells me that my tshirt cannot be done because of the capacity of the file. They sent me back and forth for that matter for 3 weeks and still couldn't do it after all my efforts on trying to make my designs easier to print. I'm very disappointed. You cannot be playing with people's time and money like this. read more
