We quickly realized our heads are below our feet and the middle of the mattress sags when we sleep in the middle (yes, we sleep cuddle). I notified the store, they sent a guy out with a yard stick. We ALL know what that means! There is no visible sag in the mattress but how it performs when we are in the bed is a problem. We explained our experience, and the guy suggested we give the mattress more time and that we had a year to exchange it. He also said he'd check in on us in a few weeks, which did not happen. Skip ahead 10 weeks and we can't take it anymore! We call, they say come down and pick another mattress. We go, we pick a firmer mattress ($799) and they want us to pay $300 more for a mattress that is $500 less than what we've already paid. Wait? What!?! He said flip mattress and see if that side is better, if not, WE (the customer) CAN PAY for them to pick it up, take it to their factory to be dismantled to see if there is a defect. This is the worst purchasing experience we've ever had. Their sales person says you can exchange if it doesn't work but the reality there is 25% fee (of lesser mattress) and you pay to pick up the bad one and deliver the new one. We are a senior couple on a fixed income. We saved for a new set and thought a locally made product sounded like a good idea for many reasons. If the company doesn't stand behind their product, clearly they know their products are not quality and they don't truly care about customer satisfaction. Posted for my neighbors. We were all exiting covid and our stuff had been in storage. We had moved back to Raleigh from out of town only to hit Covid. So our stuff had been in storage for several years. Even worse, we found that our hand made cherry bed had been partially destroyed by the previous movers. Lucky enough a friend of a friend could recommend an outstanding wood craftsman. And I don't need to remind you how much businesses and all of use were struggling to get back in a rhythm. So with maybe a week or a week and a half to go, i went in search of a mattress. Turns out it was an unusual size. I can't recall now. Thats what happens when you wait to long. But for YEARS while we had been in Raleigh before we left town in 2012, Original Mattress Factory had been our place for mattresses. What we all liked among other things, is that they are made here, in the store. So I messaged the corporate portal. Again, remember how much businesses were struggling to get back on their feet then. Wish i could find the email. I got an IMMEDIATE response from some executive. CEO? Can't recall. Clearly there not staffed at HQ yet. he had understood my need and called the sales rep at this store who was ready to have me come in. it had been, like, minutes. RESPECT. i raced over there and the sales rep, wish i could remember his name, was Johnny on the spot. he showed me my choices, said my unusual size was not on the floor, but they made them there and would whip it out for me. They could deliver next week! I almost propsed marriage right there. And sure enough on the day, the two guys showed up very professionally. they delivered, they even moved the old mattresses for me downstairs. The next day my long awaited nephew showed up none the wiser. What a fabulous experience. Each year since we have had holiday guests in that bed. The whole experience was an outstanding value. The women in the showroom were very knowledgeable & made the purchasing process seamless. The color couch we wanted was not something that was in stock & was going to take 6-8 weeks to be delivered, which we were fine with. They had plenty of other options that could have been delivered sooner but this was the one we really wanted. They had everything delivered to us within the given time frame! The gentlemen who delivered the couch were professional & efficient. It had been raining on the day of delivery so the ground was wet, but they got the couches in our back door and not a spot on them. Very reasonably priced furniture & a great team to assist you! This store makes a lot of mistakes and refuses to fix them. I would not recommend this store or any of their stores considering the regional manager was the problem.
