Ice Baths!!!
Ernz O.

Awesome spot for recovery and wellness. Staff is A+ professional and friendly. They also do special events that's a mobile service which highly recommend. We hired them for one of our beach outings and everyone raved about them and enjoyed their experience.

I've always wanted to try reformer Pilates but never found the time. Imagine my surprise when I saw…read morea sign for Pilates No Ka Oi, right across the street from Schofield Barracks. After retiring from the military, I wasn't really working out anymore and wanted something that would help strengthen my core without being too hard on my joints. I signed up for the beginner package and had three one-hour sessions with Ana. Every review I read (with the exception of Michael M- which I think is a fake review) about her and the studio was absolutely accurate. She's an amazing Pilates instructor and just a genuinely kind person with great energy. You can tell she's passionate about what she does, and she took the time to teach me the proper techniques instead of rushing through the workouts. The pricing is fair, and I really appreciated the smaller, more personal feel of the studio. It's by far a better experience than what you'd find at a national chain Pilates studio. You never feel like just another client. I have been moving so haven't had the chance to go back, but once I'm settled in my new place I will go back consistently. If you've been thinking about trying reformer Pilates, I highly recommend Pilates No Ka Oi!!!

I feel like my joints are less sore and when I get out of bed in the morning my ankles don't make a clicking sound anymore! I can tell that my core is strengthening and my flexibility is improving. Ana is also teaching me body rolling exercises which I really love! I plan to keep working with Ana and will try some of her classes as well as, continue with private sessions. I know I'm on my way to a healthier stronger body! I highly recommend Ana and Pilates No Ka Oi!

Talk about a hidden gem! Bizia has a yoga studio on the opposite end of the same parking lot as…read moretheir coffee and surf shop. As far as yoga studios go, this one is unparalleled. The space is so serene and inviting. The lobby and restroom is downstairs. There are lockers available, a shelf to leave your footwear as you enter, and a small seating are. The actual yoga studio is upstairs and it's bright, airy, and clean. In the corner, there are yoga mats, blocks, bolsters, straps, and in another corner, there are dumbbell sets for sculpt classes. Canopy offers so many different yoga classes and they have many instructors who lead them. All are welcoming, friendly, and embody the state of calmness. Carly teaches flow and sculpt classes. They are controlled classes that build strength and focus and believe me, after taking her classes, I feel it for the next few days! Elena teaches several classes and I enjoy taking her Prana class on Fridays to unwind from my busy week. I was fortunate to attend Allie's first class as a yoga instructor and she taught Canopy Slow. I got a good workout and the impression that she was definitely not new to yoga, just new to the studio. I've also taken Canopy Embodied Hatha Yoga with Allie and she quickly became my favorite yoga instructor. She speaks clearly during class and loud enough to hear over the music, but not boisterous at all. Don't have a babysitter? They have Mama and Me classes. I've taken Mama and Me classes from Mariah and Janelle. Both classes were fun, entertaining, and naturally, not the typical yoga class you'd expect. When you go, you have to accept that the class may get chaotic with kiddos playing, and at times wanting attention. It can be fun because some yoga poses allow for you to bond with your little one. For instance, when in tabletop position, my little one climbed on my back and laid there. When we had to go down and do a chaturanga (yoga push-up), it intensified my workout when my son was on my back. Other kiddos loved going underneath their moms while in tabletop, and some kiddos just loved hanging out with other kiddos. There are toys and books available for the kids to play with during the class. Both Mariah and Janelle did a good job of trying to occupy the kiddos towards the end of class when we were in shavasana/corpse pose that promotes relaxation. Mariah blew bubbles with the kids, and Janelle read a book to the kiddos who sat still. Overall, the Mama and Me classes are fun to attend, and add a good mix to the yoga they offer. A few classes that I plan to try are: Canopy Active Restore (designed to support recovery), and Canopy Surf (mirrors the qualities of surfing - balance, patience, and fluid motion). I enjoy practicing yoga as a way to challenge myself and improve my physical and mental health. Yoga originated from Eastern religions, particularly Hinduism, but the yoga instructors at Canopy have never pushed the actual roots of yoga onto us in class and focus on promoting wellness. Canopy is truly a place to focus, relax and or energize, stretch, and work on your breath. It's a place free of judgement and the instructors welcome all levels of practice and offer modifications for wherever you are in your practice, whether it may be adding a yoga block to help with the pose, or offering a modification to intensify the pose.

Hot and New yoga studio in central Oahu!…read more I love that Wahiawa has a space like this for the yogi community. From the same people who run Bizia, the coffee shop on the other side of the parking lot. It's such a beautiful space that makes you feel at ease from the second you step instead. When you walk in there's a spot for you to take off your shoes, and then the front desk to check-in. To the left of the check-in desk are some lockers and a machine to fill up your water bottle. From there, you walk up the stairs to enter the yoga studio. I forgot my yoga mat but they had a ton of mats for people to borrow- a lifesaver! You really gotta see this space for yourself but it's absolutely beautiful and well designed. Everything down to the speakers mounted above the front of the room-- just creates such a zen space. The class that I went to was a beginners class and the instructor even offered essential oils at the start and rose water at the end. It was such an amazing experience, can't wait to come back! They even have a cold plunge and sauna spot right across from them for the perfect wellness day.

They waited until the day my scripts ran out so I have to find a new doctor to fill my scripts when they are out. Top notch establishment. They are likely going to petition this review to get removed because instead of improving their service, they claimed that during my one and only visit I was physically intimidating. This is a ridiculous claim and vain effort to shield themselves from their terrible service. They would rather put a patient in mental and physical danger than simply work on themselves. **Yelp admins**: please reach out to me directly and I will provide my past care providers to combat any claims they make. Additionally, look at my past reviews. I have always been fair. I will update this review in a month to give the office an opportunity to improve. However, my initial experience has been deeply disappointing. I came to this office with high hopes based on their Yelp reviews and research into Dr. Phillips, who has a solid reputation. Unfortunately, their handling of a straightforward matter--transferring medical records and filling prescriptions--was abysmal. Pros: * Friendly front desk staff. * Clean facility. * Quick in-person appointment. Cons: What should have been a simple process turned into a chaotic and exhausting ordeal. Over the course of five days, I spent over 8 hours on calls, visits, and follow-ups due to their lack of communication, disorganization, and poor record-keeping. Monday: I requested they obtain my medical records from Texas, explaining the urgency of having scripts filled by Friday. By day's end, no update. I reached out myself, only to discover they hadn't followed up. Tuesday: After multiple calls, I personally contacted my previous doctor to resend the records. Despite receiving confirmation that the fax went through, Central Health claimed they never received it--requiring yet more follow-ups from me. Wednesday: After finally receiving the records, I underwent a detailed telehealth consultation. I was promised everything would be resolved, yet no updates were provided. Each follow-up required re-explaining my entire situation, wasting significant time. Thursday: Despite assurances, only one script made it to the pharmacy. After endless back-and-forth, I was told to record a video of my prescription bottles--a baffling request for a medical office. Still, nothing was resolved. Friday: Out of medication, I was finally instructed to pick up paper scripts. With my children arriving that day and after a full week of frustration, I couldn't make the trip. I remain without a critical prescription days later. Conclusion: This has been the worst introduction to a doctor's office I've ever experienced. While their front desk staff is polite, the lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability was staggering. I have yet to meet the doctor, despite being a patient for over a week. I hope these issues stem from growing pains rather than a systemic lack of organization. For now, I'm exhausted and unimpressed.k

In a small unassuming strip mall, you'll find a simple studio with invaluable (valuable beyond estimation) treasure. From my first visit, covered in dirt, Keri welcomed me. When I came in without a mat, she matted and toweled me (I recommend you bring a towel though, we get sweaty). When I was sick of having my hair tied back all day, I let her loose. I'm not sure if she realized how much that meant to me, but Keri made me feel comfortable in my full expression and continues to. All instructors I've been graced by have encouraged proper alignment, which shows true care in their role as gentle guides. I've been practicing yoga since 2008 and it's really special to find this space. I've really been enjoying my fellow students, too. A real community, aloha brewed.
