I'm shocked that Diprima's doesn't have higher reviews. It is a really well stocked shoe store. I was looking for a particular manufacturer while I was visiting from Va. They had the style I wanted it in my size. I like that the inventory is out for customers to try on. W/o an employee running back & forth to stock room. I was offered help several times. Purchased 2 prs, as it was early in the day. Never purchase shoes early in day, due to swelling (this happens to everyone). One pr didn't work out. Planned on returning, but they have such a nice selection, ended up exchanging for another pair. So 2 prs came home with me. I plan on visiting again when I am in the area. Rome & surrounding area you have a gem of a shoe store. Loved their boot selection! read more

Pure fraud. Takes orders, wastes time, and then places a hold on funds for items they never had. Terrible business model. Never again.

Had issues with a pair of boots, an admitted defect by Staff, then wasn't offered a refund. Said refunds must be done within 10 days, but we were out of town for two weeks. Had no replacement product either. You're a small business & have the power to offer a refund, but are choosing not to. Yes, I sound bitter. But that's because we just spent $$$ for an inferior product. Will never shop here again. read more

I don't understand why a shoe store will not let a paying customer use their restroom. I am a senior and have to take medication and I when I have to use the restroom it is often a really need to basis. I was told they don't let the public use their restroom because they have merchandise in the back. I explained that all stores have merchandise in the back but it does not prevent others from accommodating the customers need. I was told that I could go next door to one of the other stores and use their. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO DEPRIMAS IN CARTERSVILLE and I will tell everyone I know how they treat their customers. By the way, they are too expensive and they are not the only store that sells shoes and boot. read more

I was very shocked at how high the prices were here. their Skechers average $10-15 higher than JCPenney, and that's the regular price. Everything else I have found at Belk not on sale like their Clarks, Alegria, and Cole Haan shoes and again, they were $20-30 higher on everything. Also their staff isn't friendly towards younger people. My cousins came in and one lady followed us, and only us around. read more

I have never written a Yelp review, but my experience at DiPrima's yesterday leads me to express my concern. While there is little doubt that DiPrima's offers a nice selection of shoes in contrast with other local offerings in the Rome area, their customer service policies leave much to be desired. I shop the majority of my families shoes from the Atlanta market or Zappos. But, I feel good shopping local and try to do so when I can. Hence, at my stop in DiPrima's yesterday, I quickly spent over $300 at the "outlet" and then went into the main store. I was in line to pay for a pair of UGG boots for my daughter when she (age 4) started to say with urgency that she needed to use the restroom. I remember several years ago shopping DiPrima's when my son was around 3. When he needed to use the restroom, we were made to feel like pariahs but we were allowed to go under strict supervision. Yesterday, with that awkward experience still in my mind, I asked as kindly as I could if we could please use their restroom as it was a real emergency. The saleslady who had just closed my transaction on the register told me that they were so busy that they just couldn't spare anyone to walk me to the restroom. I understand that because the restroom is through the stock room they want a salesperson to monitor for shoplifting. But here's my problem with that: this isn't a such a huge operation that there isn't room for discernment in their policies. We've just purchased several hundred dollars of goods and yet we are not trusted to walk to the restroom? I would gladly- actually happily- leave my bags at the front desk to ease their concern. I'm not going to spend between 300-400 dollars if I'm scheming to steal shoes from the stock room and stuff them down my 4 year old's pants. Many other shops in Rome and other cities have restrooms through their stock room and make the customers feel welcome to utilize their facilities. I enjoy shopping at stores like these. I will no longer shop at DiPrima's - which at my past and current expenditures (~$1000/year) in their store is probably not a huge loss to their bottom line. However, I could spend much more if the shopping experience was more pleasant. I've been treated with more care at Saks, Neimans, and Bloomingdales, where I am certainly not among their top tier of customers. It's just not worth the frustration when every brand offered at DiPrima's is available through websites such as Zappos or with a quick drive to Atlanta. Shopping locally boils down to a matter of convenience for me - not necessity. I am sad to say this is one place I will NOT shop local. read more

Di Prima's is the only shoe store in Rome that offers higher quality name brand casual shoes. Keen, Merrel, Clarks, Born and of course others. I wish the selection was a bit larger (I'm used to having a huge selection on zappos) but you can at least try shoes on here and get a feel of the brand sizing. They do, however, have a huge selection of work boots, for men and women, half of the whole store is dedicated to them. read more

Been buying shoes from this family for 50 years! You may pay just a little more but the service and knowledge more than makes up for that little bit. Knowledgeable staff and owners. Lots of stock and quality brand names. Love the Ecco boots for men. read more

I have shopped with them twice and had TERRIBLE experiences both times. Recently I purchased a very expensive pair of boots. I was not given any instructions upon purchase and had little help from the staff while in store. I wore the boots from my living room to my car when I returned home, upon which time I decided I would be better off going up a half size. I boxed them up, had the receipt and brought them back. The staff informed me they could not exchange the boots because I had worn them and I should just wear thin socks and I would be ok. It would have been nice if I had been told upon purchase that if I wore them, even for less than twenty feet, I would not be able to return or exchange them. For a local chain I am greatly disappointed in their customer service. Save your money and time, but someplace else. read more
