This place have been around in town for a while now. I like to pop in here every now and then when visiting home. The workers are typically nice. Usually a lot of teenagers/young adults working. I'm not sure if it's family owned or not . Plenty of open parking spaces and decent prices. I got a brownie sundae and added wet walnuts. It was pretty good. Just next time, i need my cherry on top pls!! :) read more

Bourbon Praline Pecan ice cream was delicious. Waffle cone was tasty also. Wife got a strawberry cheesecake cone and it was great also.

Best Ice Cream ever. Always enjoying going to the store and really have missed the traveling ice cream truck. Hopefully you can get it going this summer.. Everyone is always so nice read more

Love this little place. It's nice to get an ice cream cone and be able to enjoy it at their outdoor tables with family. Creates good memories. read more

Don't be confused by the name, as I initially was. This is NOT the same as Dippin Dots. It's regular old-fashioned ice cream, and it's pretty darn good. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake, and it was very good. This summer has been a sweltering one in Martinsville, so this place is particularly welcome. The only downside is that it's out on the edge of town, heading toward Ridgeway, so it's a bit of a drive from Collinsville, for example. But it's worth it. read more

We love coming here! Anytime we want a cool treat we know where we're going. Homemade and so many things to choose from. It's the best around and the staff are so friendly!! read more

Yummy!!! I had to visit Dippers while in Martinsville after hearing everyone rave about it! It was delicious! They have a pretty robust ice cream menu including hand dipped ice cream, shakes, sundaes, soft serve, ice cream sandwiches and cookies. I got the Oreo sundae and it was great ... a little too much for me to finish but I enjoyed every bite. I highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake ice cream. They have plenty of patio/lawn seating so this is great place for families to enjoy their treats. Locals find the place to be a little expensive but it's actually cheaper than most comparable places like Cold Stone. They accept cash and cards. There is plenty of parking. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. read more

Really enjoyed stopping here. I was craving a milkshake and saw this place on my way back to NC. The staff were courteous and prompt. Prices are very reasonable. They have a huge selection. Had the caramel milkshake. It was creamy and just thick enough (would compare to chick fil a consistency). Very nice establishment. Will def visit again when I'm back the area. read more

Drove from North Carolina to Virginia only to find them closed. Hours stated on Google, Maps , Yelp all state (1-9). This location was closed up, no cars, no humans, only crickets. Please update your schedule online so that people arent wasting their time and money as well as preventing family members/customers from having a complete break down.. Thanks, the Rose & Ferguson Family. read more

Update: You must try the banana pudding ice cream. It is actually better than real banana pudding. It even has the wafers in it. The blueberry cheesecake ice cream is also wonderful (has bits of graham cracker crust in it). They sell some of the flavors in pints but they sell out. If you see a flavor advertised on their Facebook page, do not dally! I missed out on the birthday cake ice cream this year because I waited too long. You can bet that won't happen next year. read more

One of the few very popular places in MHC (even at 8:30 p.m., 30 minutes before closing time), and there's a good reason why: delicious homemade ice cream. Dippers has an ever-changing ice cream menu, but I don't think it matters what flavor you choose because it'll be delicious no matter what. I had the birthday cake ice cream, and out of all the birthday cake ice creams I've tried, this has got to be the best. Why? Because Dippers' cake flavor doesn't taste artificial and includes actual cake chunks. The pecan pie ice cream also had actual titular ingredients and was infused with delicious caramel! Tip: If you want to try the weekly flavors, come early or else they'll be gone. read more

Had the Summertime Peach and it was soooo good. Very polite & fast service. Brought home a big 'ole brown sugar cookie with cream filling. All I can say is WOW! Will definitely be going back. Very impressed. read more

Super dope. Can't get dumplings like that unless you dig up my grandmother and tell her to get in the kitchen. So I'll "settle" for dippers. Which is better because they also have ice cream. Which is equally as dope. read more

The ice cream is spectacular. I had vanilla and black cherry in a homemade waffle cone. Chunks of cherry and very creamy. My hubby was in the mood for lots of chocolate and had the cake topped with ice cream. It's his new favorite ice cream. Very friendly service. There are lots of options for seating - tables in the shade, benches in the sun, and a lawn. read more

While visiting Martinsville for the Smith River Festival, several locals mentioned we needed to eat ice cream here before leaving town. Dippers did not disappoint and lived up to the hype! My husband ordered the seasonal Peach in a waffle cone and I ordered the Banana Pudding flavor in a cup. Both were amazing! Where else can you get Banana Pudding flavored ice cream? It was almost as good as the real thing with small bits of Banana and vanilla wafers. The peach flavor was sweetened just perfectly with small chunks of real peaches. I appreciated that neither flavor was sickening sweet with sugar. Will definitely stop here again next time we're in Martinsville! read more

My wife and I go here every once in a while. Its great, the staff is very good and friendly and greet us with a smile every time we visit!

I was visiting my grandchildren and they told me such great things about Dippers. They decided to take me for my very first visit a few weeks ago. We get to the window and wait for about 5 minutes to place our order and no one ever came up to the window. I started to look into the window to see if anyone was around and I saw a male employee and a female employee hovered up on one another in the corner and I thought it was very inappropriate, repulsive, and very affectionate especially since my grandchildren were there. I do not think that this type of behavior should not be acceptable in the work place. You all will not be receiving my business any further. read more
