I have had dental issues before and so, when she was suggesting a procedure to reveal more tooth, cutting away gum tissue, so casually, I knew this was really an oral surgery procedure, and she was NOT an oral surgeon. While she might have been able to do this, it would have been not at all in MY best interests in light of prior dental traumas and discomfort. She was told this and said she could give me a valium. A very imo, stupid suggestion in that while I am a young senior, I am at this time using a walker and anything that would potentially make me unsteady could lead to a fall and injury would be ill advised. It became to me very apparent that she was not the type of caring professional I anticipated and was too anxious to do a procedure that would not be in MY best interests though would bring in some income for the business she was part of. I did have a follow up visit because the night of the first visit, the tooth basically disintegrated when I bit on something, and I went back to see if the treatment plan was still feasible even though I would not have her do the initial care, which I had indicated would be likely since I knew an oral surgeon. While she still thought it was doable, I had happened prior to have a visit scheduled with my retiring dds of many years. And when she saw the tooth remains, in its current condition, she was shocked, and concluded as I had, that long term the tooth was not going to survive and what was left needed to be removed and potentially replaced. To think that I went out of my way at great expense (for transportation) for this "care". The other DDS in the practice gets good reviews. For routine care perhaps they are fine. But I will not be back. Even if I lived down the block, I would hesitate. This particular DDS only enhanced my general distrust of dentists.

I've battled a challenging TMJ condition for decades following complications from a disc…read morereplacement procedure (which was later prohibited due to negative outcomes in patients like myself). Over time, I explored just about every non-surgical approach available and adapted to living with my condition while steering clear of additional surgery. Recently though, I sought professional guidance regarding the ongoing deterioration in my jaw and to understand my current options. After weeks of intensive research to identify top-tier oral/maxillofacial surgeons throughout the United States, I discovered Dr. Krajekian and traveled from California to Cleveland for a consultation. Remarkably, within the first few minutes of meeting him, I felt an immediate sense of confidence in his expertise. What makes Dr. Krajekian truly exceptional is his pioneering work in modern TMJ surgical techniques. He is one of very few surgeons who uses immersive virtual reality (VR) technology for diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and surgical rehearsal. I watched his VR demonstration with great interest. It made me realize there had been a dramatic evolution in TMJ treatment since my earlier experience. Beyond his technical expertise, Dr. Krajekian demonstrates an unparalleled dedication to his patients. He carefully developed a customized treatment strategy for my specific situation and has patiently provided detailed, illuminating answers to all my questions. His care is not limited to office visits. He makes himself directly available for direct communication via email and phone - yes, without having to go through admin staff or a patient portal. This is an unprecedented level of availability that I've never before encountered with any healthcare provider. I'm choosing to share my experience now, even before undergoing the actual surgery, because I understand how challenging and overwhelming it can be to find the right specialized care for complex TMJ disorders. Dr. Krajekian's thorough and outstanding pre-surgical support and accessibility have already made a significant positive impact.

God has blessed my socks off with Dr.Krajekian and his team as His vessel! I have ... .no I had…read moredealt with a tingling tongue for almost 4 years. The pressure was intense some days. I made several visits to my dentist through the years and a few to my PCP, no one could help me! In January, I developed a bump behind my molars so I decided to try the dentist again. After a visit to another dentist who referred me to an oral surgeon, I was told I had a cyst and an impacted wisdom tooth close to the jaw bone. It needed to be taken care of asap but another surgeon would need to do it. After an ordeal with finding an oral surgeon, an appointment with Dr.Krajekien was made. I was so defeated by the time I walked into his office and figured it would be the same old same old. He assured me that we were going to resolve this. He was so kind and compassionate and understanding. I told him what was happening and he told me about the VR that he uses in surgery that would show him exactly what was happening in my mouth. After dealing with this for so long and now adding the cyst to the problem and listening to Dr. Krajekien, I knew VR would be my best option. It would show the most accurate analysis of what was causing the tongue issue and help determine the best way to eliminate the cyst and hopefully the intense tingling. I walked out of his office with renewed hope!! He and his team were great with finding appointments that would fit into my husband's and I's busy schedule. Communication was great after I asked what was the best way to get in contact with him and his team. He went above and beyond for me. Due to insurance issues I was about to accept defeat. He would not let me quit! Dr.Krajekien went to bat for me and hit a grand slam! The day before the surgery at my pre op appointment he showed me the VR image and explained to me what was happening and what he was going to do. Amazing! The image he showed me made it crystal clear why my tongue felt the way it did. I was so nervous but so excited for the next day! The day of surgery he was upbeat making sure I was comfortable, happily answering any last minute questions. Once in the OR he was so kind and compassionate, making sure my anxiety was under control for the brief moments I was conscious. During surgery his team kept my family updated every step of the way. After surgery my jaw was still intact, my cyst and wisdom tooth gone and I felt no pain. The surgery went quickly and smoothly I believe due to the VR aspect in preparing for my surgery. In the days after surgery I was able to contact Dr.Krajekian with any questions or concerns. I am on day 7 of my recovery and have had very little pain and no tingling tongue!!! You can tell Dr.Krajekian loves what he does and is dedicated to making those suffering better! He and his team are top notch!! Thank you!!

I was still willing, but the way the receptionist said, "That's okay with you isn't it, that he takes a break??" was a bit unpleasant. I didn't even know the guy! I expressed my concern about having unnecessary xrays taken. They assured me it'd just be one. The dental assistant was clearly just learning, though and she ended up having to retake the same one three times. Then I tried to confirm with the 'son dentist' that he knew the safe protocol for Mercury/silver amalgam filling removal. He was clearly not thrilled at answering questions, let alone having to be there in the office - he slogged around the office slowly and kept loudly sighing - It'd have --- almost --- been funny if I hadn't needed him to fix my teeth... The dental dam was placed incorrectly. My mouth underneath it by the end was full of broken pieces of silver filling. He didn't cover my body or my face during it, they don't use oxygen to breathe instead of mercury vapor, it was just a mess of incompetence and this grudging attitude. A few months later I called and requested my records and X-rays be sent to a new dentist. For some reason the receptionist was nasty and I could tell she wasn't going to do it. I called many times, but they never sent them - so I had to once again have unnecessary xrays retaken.
