I have been waiting to try Dions for a long time. I've heard so many good things about the food. Being in Albuquerque a lot I finally got the chance. The food is really good. I was inside the very busy establishment and where it looked like total chaos the food was getting out and very quickly. I had an Italian sub. It was probably one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The half sub came in a box with chips and Greek dressing. The Greek dressing was like an Italian dressing but with more flavor to pour on your sandwich. It was delicious. I'm super glad I only got a half because a whole sub would have not been eaten. I'm a believer and will be getting my sub fix in the next time I'm in Albuquerque. read more

We ordered a couple pizzas this past weekend and I was pretty underwhelmed. Honestly, it didn't taste much better than Pizza Hut or Domino's to me... kind of greasy. I will say, the crust was really good though. Chewy and crisp at the same time, and not super dense/thick. We didn't do anything super fancy, so I'm more inspired to make it at home myself next time I'm craving some pizza. read more

I waited in line outside of Dion's for 45 minutes last night, told every five minutes that my pizza was five minutes from being done until they finally admitted that they had lost my order and had no idea what or where it was and I went home with no food and a $30 online charge. I know this is new and hard for everyone, but it will be a while before I go to Dion's again. A long while. read more

I live right down the road from this location so I am a regular here. The food is amazing and I have never had a problem with the quality. There have been a few issues in the past with delays and/or wrong orders but the managers and staff have always been so helpful in resolving these issues. Despite these issues, I will remain a regular and highly recommend any sub on the menu (turkey and provolone is my favorite). read more

Dion's - Pizza Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

My husband and I love Dion's! We ate here for lunch today and ordered a large order of cheese bread and a ten inch pepperoni and green chili pizza. The service was outstanding and the pizza and cheese bread were fabulous. Throughout our meal, the servers kept coming over and asking if we needed refills and cleared out trays. We will be back! read more

Great pizza and a lot of variety. We went for during a weekday lunch rush and the pizza was freshly prepared with lots of toppings. I can't say enough good things about Dions read more

I love you guys so much - but lately it has gotten so sloppy I have to say something. My pizzas haven't been cut - merely impressions of cuts. Open ranch containers that leaked all over the bag and made a mess in the car. Ugh. You're better than this! read more

Unfortunately, Dione isn't delivering anymore, but that's ok! We still LOVE their pizza! The subs are delicious and the salads are great. If you are thirsty for sure get a lemonade, it's the best lemonade in town! The ranch and green Chile ranch are both really tasty on not only salad but to awesome to dip your pizza in! We will return over and over again! We love Dion's! read more

The past few times have been so out of whack, and I regularly order food from Dions. First, out of the couple of times I recently been there, they messed up my order and I called back and the manager said she would send me my money back, and days went by and I never received confirmation of my return. Highly disappointing. Second recent trip to this Restaurant, they lost my to go order after placing it literally 15 minutes ago. Making me stand in line to order food and wait even longer for an order I placed before!! Lines were hectic and employees had no idea how to handle the amount of people in there, creating disorganization and chaos. I don't think I'll be returning to this location due to lack of detail while making orders and disorganization creating wrong meals. read more

Again our order was not right stopped ordering there a whole back bc something was always wrong. This time we had a gift card annnnnd. Wrong. No more this location is always messing up read more

Absolutely the worst Dions in ABQ. It's too bad I can't give zero stars! I have told my wife before after they messed up my last three orders that I would never go back. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and didn't have time to go out of my way to a different Dions. Tonight I called in and ordered a Duke City, and I guess saying Large is not the same as the larger of the two options (10" or 14"). So image my surprise when my order that I expected to be $26 rang up at $41!!! I don't know what I expected? I can understand a mistake every once and a while, but every single one of my last four orders being messed up. I guess fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, or in my case four times, shame on me! I'm done with Dions all together! read more

Got to say Dion's really has its act together at the Montgomery location. Did drive through twice over the past few weeks. First time not as good, last time great. They have all employees wearing masks and gloves which made me feel safe. They check you in when you are waiting in line in lot and everything was ready when I got to the window. 4.5 for pizza 5 for service. Great! read more

I called in my order for pickup got there at about 15 minutes. I went to the drive thru there was only a few cars in front of me which was very quick. I got the full chef salad with chicken no ham and it was presented well with the raspberry vinaigrette which is my favorite. read more

May I just say, the most recent review from a previous worker actually just proves why this location is one of the worst lol. Dions is a great local business... this location can't seem to get it together. I work right by this location so I frequently come here. It gets worse and worse each time, and I'm finally starting to get sick of giving them chances. Opened the box to a broken, overflowing sandwich with about an entire jar of mayo in it even though I requested no mayo. I always request no mayo and they've put mayo on anyway the last 3 times. I also got a salad last week and the iceberg lettuce was wilted and brown. I've noticed it's only this location and many others have agreed with me that they fall short and don't seem to care. I understand being busy, but if you notice something looks gross why would you serve it???? How hard is it to read what people want/don't want on their order? Fixing things takes more time than doing it right the first time. Perhaps start labeling to go orders if that helps you keep organized. Also prevents people from not knowing who's food is who's. Living here my whole life, I have so many other stories of this location messing up but it's just not even worth it to list them because this post would never end. Just sloppy and no pride in the service they provide, it makes me sad. And super arrogant employees, I guess. read more

I was recently in Albuquerque and of course I had to stop at Dion's. They have great sandwiches, pizza's and salad dressings. I filled up my bag with Ranch, Greek , and the new Green Chile Ranch. I packed them up really good to bring back to Phoenix. Wish there was a Dions here in Phoenix. read more

Went to get food with a friend and we told the counter person that we were together but paying individually. She proceeds to charge my card for both meals. When reminder her it was not together she calls the manager. We hear him tell her nothing they could do to change what she did and he walks off. Food is good but management is not read more

Dion's serves up pizza, sandwiches, and salads on the cheap, yum, and local. I used to eat here regularly in high school and a trip home to Albuquerque is not complete without a visit. Pizza is made-to-order with all the requisite pizza toppings as well as green chile. Dion's own ranch dressing does double-duty as the best accompaniment to a slice of pizza, you'd be remiss not to give your pizza a dip (and only 35 cents extra!). I'm also eternally appreciative for the single slices of pizza, still made to order, that come in under $1.50. Adding a salad to your pizza is not only a way to get veggies into your diet but is actually a worthwhile order at Dion's. Chef, caesar, and greek salads are the main offerings, though these are also made to order so you can add and subtract items as you please. Pizza and salad haters should still be able to find an agreeable sandwich. Sandwiches are sub-style and chock full of deli meat goodness, a generous sprinkling of lettuce and tomato, greek dressing and a side of potato chips. Filling includes ham and swiss, turkey, and roast beef. The Montgomery location has a perplexing parking lot (try the adjacent dr.'s lots when dining after hours) with the ridiculously useful drive-through - call ahead and pick up your pizza on the way home without ever leaving your car. If you're dining during lunch be aware of the high school crowd from Eldorado up the street and general lunchtime crowds that descend. Despite the crowds at peak times, I've never waited more than 15 minutes for my food - usually less, and I've never had a problem with seating. read more

Dion's is "OK" - I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could. The "pizza" is typical of places that don't have a real "pizza tradition" - like us here in ABQ. Don't get me wrong - I think Dion's a good value and the food is OK - I've probably had more meals here than many other places around town over the years - it's close to home and the kids really like it. (They also like Pizza Hut of course...) The subs are also just OK - again, don't get me wrong they're made to order but again, they are basically indistinguishable from a hundred other places. It's just nothing special - no offense Dion's, but there is really better pizza to be had. (But I will still eat here from time to time!) read more

Living outside of New Mexico can be tough when you're deprived of Dion's. Pizza and sandwiches that can't be beat. The crust and sandwich bread have just the right balance of crunchy and flaky. When you add the ranch and Greek dressing to any of their wondrous creations you can truly lose yourself in a taste bud nirvana. Where else would I chose to go out to eat my first day back in town for the holidays. read more

Excellent pizza subs and salad at great prices. This is one of the best places in Albuquerque! Every item is extremely fresh and very delicious at a reasonable cost. It is usually packed during lunch hours. I would recommend calling in your order during these times so you can simply pick it up when you arrive. read more

Third time is the last time. I will NOT unfortunately be ever coming back to this location of Dions- haven't decided if Dions is all together off the list of good pizza joints, for certainly will never go to the Montgomery and Morris location ever again. Phone ordered a couple subs, salad and 2 slices of cheese pizza- got there about 25 minutes after calling. Waited another 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge I was standing at the counter (there was only 1 counter person) Cashed out and the girl told me about 5 minutes on the subs as they were "just coming out of the over" 15 minutes later I asked a manager to have my slices of cheese pizza remade as they were now cold and figure out what happened to the subs. Took the manager about 5 minutes to get the entire order of hot stuff back together..... why couldn't that have happened to begin with. Besides that- the music was way too loud, the workers looked scattered and bumping into eachother. This is the final transgression which sealed the deal on the fate of this location for me. read more

Employee's are very slow here on taking an order compared to other locations. Trash (Paper plates) on the floor and other derbies. Window blinds are absolutely dirty and hazardous. Napkins are almost completely empty in each of the containers. Also observed one employee wasting a while bunch of soda while pouring the drinks. Trash can tops look well, trashy on the frames. They also left the seats completely wet and the sanitation of the tables are very questionable to this very point. Restrooms are also cramped and unwell kept. I've lived in Albuquerque all my life, have tried an array of Dion's locations, and this one is the WORST. I cannot remember the last time this location got my order right, food is often disheveled, burnt, or underdone, and on many occasions I've had pieces of my order forgotten. This restaurant is a local staple, and I really wish this location would get their act together like the Academy, Gibson, or Los Lunas locations. I don't know why this one is always such a disappointment. read more

I've always loved their slices but the professionalism displayed by their management when I got upset is what really earned them five stars. I ordered a slice with two toppings online. When I went to pick it up, there was no one manning the special register for phone/online orders so I waited for the three people ahead of me to be helped even though my pizza was just sitting on a shelf waiting to be handed to me. The cashier finished with the last person and a woman walked up and asked him to refill her lemonade as if I wasn't standing there waiting to be helped. I was prepared to wait it out some more until they began to engage in a detailed conversation about said lemonade (while some more people walked up behind her). At that point I announced very LOUDLY "Excuse me! I'm standing here waiting. I ordered and paid online and still waited my turn, when am I going to be served???" The poor cashier didn't seem to realize that I was speaking to him and didn't even look at me. I turned to the other four or five staff walking and standing nearby, put both my hands in the air and shouted "I'm right here! Can no one see me? Am I invisible or something? What the hell is going on???" The cashier then snapped to and addressed me. I explained that I ordered and paid online and was just waiting to pick up my slice. I also berated him a little about the fact that I shouldn't have had to wait in the first place because there is a line for people who have already ordered and paid. He calmly asked if I wanted to speak to a manager and I said "NO, I just want my f**king slice of pizza!" The manager came over, apologized and offered me a free drink. I crankily refused and repeated to him the my story about how things were supposed to go for me versus how it had been handled. He then offered me a brownie or other desert. I thanked him, refused, left with my slice and then drove home thinking about what an impatient asshole I'd been over an extra three minute wait. When I got home and opened my box, it contained a slice with jalapeños and ANCHOVIES. I am a vegetarian and had actually ordered jalapeños and artichoke hearts. All regret over my self-righteous indignation flew out the window. I immediately called and asked for the manager and explained to him (quite forcefully) that my order was wrong and that I would now go to bed without the slice I had spent 45 mins ordering, waiting for, and driving home with. He offered that he would make sure an email was sent to me giving me a free slice. I told him that was bullshit because all that did was replace the slice I already paid for and hadn't received. What about my time and frustration. Unfazed by my nastiness, he said "You're right, I'll send you two slices with two toppings each." Less than 24 hours later, the email arrived in my inbox as promised. The quality of the food is probably a four but the quality of customer service in the face of an epic amount of ranting from me is definitely a five. I apologize to the staff who had to experience my scorn and rage over a five minute wait for a $3 slice of pizza. It was inexcusable. You made mistakes but they were totally understandable mistakes for a Saturday night and you remedied them each as soon as I brought them to your attention. My behavior and tone was uncalled for and a deeply appreciate the patience you each displayed with me despite my volume. read more

Got food poisoning from this dump after a 15 minute wait post my designated pick-up time. Dion's is good stuff but this (Montgomery/Morris) location is riddled with poor service and unsanitary food preparation. read more

This is it....I'm DONE with this location. I already don't go to the University/Gibson location due to similar issues: -Too slow and especially during the evening rush - Screwed up my order way too many times to count (I did contact corporate the last time and the customer service relations specialist asked to give them one more chance...you see this post right?) - Teamwork clearly doesn't exist here - The location is very congested and when told to "wait by the fire lane" for your order, it's very annoying. 2 cars, 3 at most fit on that side of the curb and when it's clear a 4th car isn't, you don't tell the customer to pull up there anyway because it would block traffic. Yes, I'm talking about what happened an hour ago where I was blocking traffic because my order wasn't ready. And to make matters worse, the General Manager was on duty and that place was still a mess. The best thing this location can do, is close permanently until all staff from the top down to the bottom of the chain are re-trained especially on the customer service aspect of their jobs. read more

Worst dions in Albuquerque. Management and employees are all high school students ( no bias ) my order was completely wrong in several ways. Wrong dressings, pizza toppings were wrong, restaurant was an absolute mess. Each employee treated me with the same disrespect as if customer service was unimportant. This was all after a 35 min wait of course... took over an hour for my order to be completed correctly and I was not even apologized to whatsoever! Horrific experience. Avoid this one read more

The worst! This is our neighborhood Dions and I can't tell you how many times ther have screwed up our order without apologies. Tonight was the worst. My husband waited 30 minutes past the estimated time of when our order would be ready, he got the order and came home just to realize there was no salad dressing. So I got back in the car and headed over to get the salad dressing. when I went in I told the lady at the front that my husband was there about 20 minutes ago there was no salad dressing she looked at the receipt didn't even acknowledge me told somebody else to give me two salad dressings and that was it. Okay first and foremost this is a local business which I love supporting. But what makes it even better is that the food rocks! I love the pizza, I love the subs and I love the salads!!! Pizza= pepperoni and green chile + homemade ranch dressing Subs= turkey and green chile with chips + homemade Greek dressing Salad= ranch salad full size with either Greek Or ranch dressing But heck it's all great! So, I waited in line for about 15 minutes with NO communication from this location. Typically with the other locations some one comes out and communicates with me. So I get up to the window, they proceeded to give me more order and drink. I, presume, everything is correct because of their reputation. I get home and low and behold, it is NOT all there. Missing dressing and wrong drink. I proceeded to call the store, calmly. Sure enough it gets worse!! They put me on hold for 5 minutes!! Once someone is starving after working 13 hours without a break, to say they least it is aggravating!! You just want to go home, eat, and take a shower!! Didn't even apologize for the inconvenience of spending money and not received what you wanted!! read more

Everyone who lives in New Mexico knows about Dion's. And everyone loves it. The adoration is deserved. Dion's pizza is awesome, the subs are the best subs your money can buy, and the salads aren't too shabby, themselves. The ranch dressing is literally the best ranch I've ever eaten. I don't even really like ranch, and I can't get enough of it. It's popular enough that they sell it by the bottle. It's amazing on the pizza, salad and subs. The greek dressing, served with subs, is also the perfect compliment to the sandwiches. Prices are reasonable, and the restaurants offer dine-in or call ahead / pick up options. read more

No pickup area inside anymore. This place has really gone down hill. We waited in line for 25 minutes.

Disappointing. We ordered online for the first time. I assumed salad dressing was on the side but couldn't confirm if it would be. So we decided to ask for it when we picked up. They charge $.51 for salad dressing when you ask for it after the order. I don't fault the 16 year old employee who couldn't make a decision to actually include it with the salad, it is a customer service breakdown. The pizza was average and the crust overcooked and tough to eat. We will not be a customer of Dion's anymore. There are better pizza places and better customer service at other establishments. read more

Usually love Dion's pizza, today I called in a small pizza with pepperoni and ham.
