I ran in and met fadi and he was able to do some pinning and curling in me and my daughter at the time ... I wanted the salon to do my makeup too but they wanted to charge wayyy too much .... I was going to just go for it and the employees kept bugging me k ocking on the bathroom door asking what I was doing ( accusing me of "smoking" which was ridiculous ) I was excited to have met a what I thought was a good hairdresser I made an appointment for color weeks later Some blonde maybe ? I used to use a box .. First fadi cut over 15 inches or more off my hair telling me " do u mind , cause u look terrible ) and bleached it to god awful bleach bleach bleach The girls while sweeping were whispering and got a bag to put my hair in .. I think cause it was so long they wanted to make a wig .... I didn't ask the price and since I didn't ask for a haircut I didn't expect to be charged for a " do u mind" scissor happy stranger .. I am Caucasian I looked bright red cause my hair was so BLEACHED only no toner no nothing Then they said u owe us 200 dollars I said what ? I thought it was going to be 35-50 at the time and didn't even ask to begin with .. I went home my daughter started crying saying my mom is ugly and now I can't look at her .. I went back up there ...and told Mario I wanted my money back for all this ... He said he cannot return any money and I'm lucky they got me a pop from next door ..... She didn't do any highlights and when I sat in front of the mirror after washing my hair was brown with blonde blotches. After being there for 4hours they tried to fix it by stripping my hair and adding literally 6 highlights on top. My hair is still brown with an orange tint. I cannot emphasize how terrible my experience was and how they tried to downplay it. They offered to "fix" it if I wanted to go back in (for hours) but you can see from the pictures what a "fix" looks like. I've never posted a negative review on here until today. In retrospect, I should have done more research on this salon. I wanted to ensure that I was going…read moreto a place where they understood what I was looking for, which is why I asked to come in prior to the haircut. I was told on the phone by the individual who answered that the person she was recommending was a so-called expert. I also found that the person who answered the phone swept the floors and shampooed folks, she was not experienced but was a buffoon with a loudmouth. I went into this place thinking it was ok but found that the person cutting my hair was following what the last individual did and it was incorrect. 9 months later and my hair was still screwed up yet I was going over each item every month. The final month I went over the cut as she had cut out my entire sides when I was extremely specific on what and what not to do, she instead deflected and said it was me. It wasn't me; she of course didn't listen. I also didn't like the fact that they gossiped about customers as I sat there, stating well that person is mentally challenged and go on and on, what a low life place that is overcharging for items you should not be charging for. 40 dollars to blow dry my hair, when I questioned it the owner stated oh no she styled it and used a curling iron. I've never used a curling iron on my hair and stated that, she of course just stood there and smirked. This is a small cracker box place that has the mentality that they are on Rodeo Drive, slipshod performance, a stylist who cannot accept responsibility, and was arrogant, defensive and has a chip on her shoulder. That I saw when I initially went in there. More importantly a place that talks about their customers and there I sat thinking well if they're slamming and gossiping about their customers their certainly doing it about me, which I couldn't care less, what a low life place of business and I would recommend do your research prior to even attempting to go to Salon L.
