I've been driven by this place for years, when I've been in the Chepachet/Glocester area, and never really gave it a second thought. I had always heard good things, but never had a reason to stop. Today, I finally stopped by. It was a good experience. Simple, no thrills grocery store, but with a better energy to it than Stop and Shop. Employees actually seemed to be happy, and the store itself had a good energy to it. Not being from the area, I wouldn't make the trip up here, especially in the warmer months, as the food would spoil on the way home, but for dry goods, I'd stop by and would encourage you to as well. read more

I like Dino's to shop at! The store is well organized and clean, usually has fresh cut bones for my spoiled doggos . Then I tried the fish and chip plate . Thought 6pm on a Lenten Friday they'd be busy so I'd stand a chance to see them at their best. The deli clerk was very nice, they were ready when I got there 5 min early, and I live 5 min away. Small little neighborhood market. I like to support small family owned business' so I do come here when I can, but when I'm running low on money- I'll try to go somewhere a bit more wallet friendly like Price store or Aldi's, as the Prices are MUCH higher then stop and shop but the quality in certain areas is a bit better. Their deli meat, and produce always appears to be good. They also have a lot of really friendly staff & employees! They always go above and beyond- for customers. My 5 year old had to use the bathroom & one of the younger employees walked us all the way to it- in the back. I also like how they have small shopping carts for the younger kids to use. My son feels very included when we go shopping and he feels like he's contributing so that's really cute. Overall it's a good market but you could end up paying $50-$150+ more in groceries especially if you're used to shopping at a place like Aldi's or Price Rite. It's comparable to Brigido's IGA (price wise). But if you're looking to save money- this might not be the market for you. read more

Keep being awesome, Debby The original review: This is the store I go to for the convenience factor. Unfortunately it's a small town so prices are a little higher than most. But the cashiers are all friendly and warm. There's one lady in particular with glasses and multiple tattoos -- I'll get her name next time and edit this review -- she is the best one. She's fast and efficient at her job, always greats you with a big smile and chats you up while she rings you out. I think my experience with Dino's exceeds expectations and here's why. For some personal reasons I will not disclose on Yelp our family was in need of catering for an event. After looking online to see if they had anything we decided to just call and speak with the deli department. Whoever we spoke to was so friendly and understanding of our situation and was able to help cater some dishes within 24 hours. We requested a platter of deli meats, a veggie lasagna, some buffalo wings and an order of macaroni & cheese. Again, the person we spoke with was accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for the amount of people we were expecting. He had to go check prices and then he called back within 10 minutes with a price quote. The next day when I arrived to pick up the items the deli department workers brought the food out and placed them in my shopping cart. One of the workers gave me all of the price codes so they would be easy to scan and they also provided a few packages of buns and finger rolls for the deli meat. I honestly have to say how grateful our family is to Dino's for their quick turn around. The food was wonderful and the service exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend using their catering services in the future if you are ever in need. They may not always be able to provide a 24 hour turn-around, but if you give them a few days notice I am sure you will be pleased. I needed to return two orange juices because I grabbed pineapple orange instead of just orange juice yesterday. I was immediately told I could not do that because of the pandemic. They would not allow me to exchange my orange juice because they couldn't put it back on the shelf. Be aware that this is a Dino's market policy, not a universal market policy. I know that because a week ago, I was able to return fresh escarole for fresh green leaf lettuce at Stop n Shop with no issue last week. When you put profits over people, people like myself will now bring our business elsewhere. read more

So many great things going for this market but they are all stopped cold at the front end. Who is training, or obviously NOT training your people?!? I leave pissed off every time as a result of the front end. What a shame. Here's an example... I'm buying $200 worth of groceries. The checker drops my apples 3' onto the floor, picks them up and bags them without a thought, then slams them onto the belt with the rest of my produce. Not to mention throwing the raw chicken into a bag to potentially contaminate other perishables. I shrug it off, but I had forgotten one item on my list. Instead of holding up the line, I finish my order, put my items in the car and come back for the one thing I forgot. Now I'm told I can't use my debit card for any purchases under $5. I said, I just spent almost $200, you saw me. She stares at me blankly. I pulled out 3 dollars and resisted every urge to tell her to shove it where the sun don't shine. I spent 24 hours in Rhode Island between yesterday and today. About 10 of those hours were spent making ravioli. My boyfriend's family is amazingly Italian, and for the second year in a row we've spent time making hundreds and hundreds of ravioli with his nana. Over the course of the day, we ran out of flour, eggs, and other pasta essentials. Luckily, Dino's was a short 10 minute drive to save the day. It seems like an average grocery store - perfect for your standard pantry items, dairy, etc. We were in and out in fifteen minutes. The produce was a bit iffy, I have to admit. We tried to pick up some avocados for a quick batch of guacamole but could only find TWO decent (meaning not entirely mushy) avocados in the entire selection. Meh. read more

This is the only gig in town. The prices seem comparative to Brigido's IGA, which are also higher than Stop & Shop, and do not offer any rewards systems. I order my cakes here, and they're delicious. Bakery is great. Deli workers are pleasant and give my kids free cheese. Butcher is on hand to answer any questions. They will even portion large cuts if you ask. The meats are always fresh. Plenty of fresh produce. I've never had an issue with spoilage. I DO wish there were more reduced produce bananas. They turn so quickly! Where do they go? I would snatch them up, but no luck. Dino's is an outstanding place to shop. Their bakery puts all other supermarket chains bakeries to shame. Their prepared food section is excellent as well. I love their fish and chips along with their rotisserie chicken. They even put a delicious bread stuffing in it. Who can be that! Finally, their weekend specials are a bargain shopper's dream. Dino's Park-N-Shop is a family run business that has been in operation in Chepachet since 1957. It is a very friendly and convenient market - a very pleasant place to food shop. They have a nice cafe inside too. Their prices are usually better than Stop & Shop's - but their meat prices can't be beat! I always stock the freezer with meats from Dino's. Prices do not ring up correctly, always in favor of the market. Employees working at the cash registers are not allowed to make adjustments, so you have to go wait at customer service to correct. Stop & Shop will give you an item free if it is incorrectly scanned. Dino's would go bankrupt if they adopted this policy! read more

Nice local grocery store. Most items are local and fresh.As a refection of the local flavor... I find that the prices are higher than most.

The meat at Dino's is excellent. They have homemade sausages and freshly cut steaks and chops. The bakery here is also awesome. I've had some really excellent cakes from there and now always insist that any birthday cakes for the family are purchased here. So, bakery & butcher/meats = 5 stars. The place is small, but so is the town! This means it doesn't have a massive selection and you need to adapt according to what looks good. It isn't the cheapest place around, but that is par for the course in rural NW RI. If you're worried about prices, use coupons and the circular and buy what's sale. So, price & selection = 3 stars. I have Dino's and two IGA's all equally distant to my home. Although I make the trek to Aldi's every 3-4 weeks to do my bulk shopping, when I'm at home and need groceries, Dino's is absolutely the place for me. They also have a little café where you can sit & eat if you're into that sort of thing. read more

I try to support local business and this place is only about 10 minutes from my house, but the produce isn't very fresh. On three seperate occasions I have seen moldy vegetables. Once I was looking through red peppers and my fingers went through one that was 70% moldy and was at the bottom of the pile so I assume they don't rotate the veggies too often. The second time I was looking at the jalapenos that they package themselves and I noticed through the saran wrap that there was mold underneath the peppers. Then most recently I went to get tomatoes and there were fruit flies around them and they were quite a few that were soft and mushy. I am a fan of their meats, they do their own deli meats such as ham and turkey. I'm sure the prices are a little higher than stop and shop but I would rather give my money to a local business, but I think if I get another rotten veggie in my hand I might have to make the switch. read more

I'm not from the area but when passing through Chepatchet on a road trip I usually stop and browse, see what's on sale, and stretch my legs. Dino's is a single store operation, not a chain so prices are on the high end but they do have weekly sales. The store is well stock and usually very clean. I noticed today unlike the chains Dino price stamps each item. Not sure if the price tags are new but remember when all grocers priced each item on the shelve? Like some reviewers have said there is a in store cafe to dine on their prepared foods. read more
