As far as fast food places go, this place can't be beat! There is plenty of free parking at this location. I have been here multiple times and the dining area is also clean. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly here! I have very much enjoyed my interactions with the staff here every time I come! The food comes out hot and fresh! I highly recommend the pita chips and spicy feta dip (not too spicy) The baklava is a sweet and has an amazing texture to it! I have to get it every time I go! The gyros here are tasty and filling! No quality control. We were regulars. I think we will have to move on....sad to say. Pita bread was cold. Fell apart.....must have been old. The gyro meat was good. Not much sauce on the gyro. I have been to this location numerous times. It's general been pretty decent. This evening was a complete flop. Working on projects and just wanted a quick bite for me and the Mrs. Regular gyro and Mega gyro. Wife was commenting on how much meat she had on it. My "mega", as complete opposite. The only thing mega was the writing on the foil w/ m.e.g.a. and the amount of onions and sauce inside the pita concealing the pittance of meat. Didn't get beverages or sides. I know business needs to make a profit, but $28.40 is leaving me wondering why I continue go to this place. Such a great gyro place to go to!! I ordered the original gyro which is beef+lamb with tzatziki sauce, tomatoes and onions wrapped in a pita bread and also got the well-seasoned fries. The gyro was delicious I just wish that I ordered a side of tzatziki sauce to put more in my gyro. The well-seasoned fries tasted great as well except they were a bit to salty. The worker at the front desk was super friendly and polite!! We ordered to go and enjoyed this meal at home. They had clean tables and lots of places to sit down. Will come again!! read more

Ordered takeout on a weekend. The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean. The gentleman at the counter was prompt, professional and accurate--very accommodating. We ordered a family meal and a bunch of extras. The gyro meat was good, tzatziki and pita--all fresh.. It was all delish! There were a couple families dining in and they appeared to be enjoying themselves. Seemed casual and good for the kiddos. We will be back! Great fast food style Greek food at a reasonable price! I hadn't stepped into a Dino's in years. In fact, my last time was at the original location in Falcon Heights. But I had cravings for a decent Gyro so I tried out the Coon Rapids location today. The food was great...tasty and filling and economically priced. The staff were also very friendly and professional. The restaurant itself was impeccably clean, organized, bright, and welcoming. I tried the Spicy Gyro. I found out that you can "mega size" them so since I skipped breakfast, I opted for some "mega" action. The spicy sauce (with feta cheese) was okay but it wasn't my favorite. The feta sauce, for some reason, is a little on the bitter side. I think I would have grooved more on the traditional cucumber sauce. Of course, I had to throw in an order of Falafel and hummus - yum! They were great. And they aren't cheap asses like the Naf Naf Grill (which charges 75 each). You get a small bag of them - nice! That's the way it should be done. A small bag...like an order of fries or chips. As a side note, my friend and I stayed WAAAY too long, overstayed our welcome, and hung out forever. Visit was on 9/26/2015 This place is SO DANG GOOD. I know it's a chain and usually more authentic places will wow you over, but I have yet to find a good Greek place that isn't overly greasy like Dino's. I've tried Olympia in Osseo and was turned off by all the grease used in everything that was served to me, but Dino's has me hooked. My two favorite things to get is the Sampler with extra rice instead of salad, or the spicy gyro with feta cheese. Both those meals hit the spot. The kabobs are great too, but it can be hit or miss depending on who cooks your food. I've gotten some really great ones, then an overcooked one. It's about quality control, but it is a chain. Doesn't really bother me too much as the food is loaded with flavor. The staff is always helpful and fun though. I always walk up looking like I'm going to try something else, but I can't turn away from the sampler or the spicy gyro. Try it out! Can't really go wrong here. When hungry for Greek food, there are many great places for us to go in the Twin Cities, but not a lot in the Northern suburbs. Luckily, we have Dino's, a fast casual Greek restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is very friendly. You order at the counter, get a number, and the food is brought to your table. Today I had the original gyros sandwich. The fresh pita came very well filled with gyro meat, along with onion and tomato, topped with my choice of tzaziki sauce. I requested a side of tabouli salad, which is not cheap at $4.79, but is delicious and very fresh and enough to take some home. In the past I have had the steak souvlaki and plates with pita, meat and salad. I am always happy with my meal. And the servers are always willing to bring a box or help in any way. Dino's may not be the best of its kind in the metro area, but it is certainly one that satisfies my craving and causes me to return over and over. I recommend it. I also notice it seems to be more full than in prior visits, so others are finding it a good choice. I used the Women's room today and it was very clean and well maintained. This was my first time visiting this chain. I was very impressed. It's fast order style so I didn't expect too much, but was pleasantly surprised. Our server was prompt and funny. And the food, yum! The portions are larger than expected, but I managed to devour a whole philly cheesesteak gyro AND their amazing fries! Yes, the seasoned fries were my highlight. As for being a chain, I try to rate on things other than food since that can be out of their control. So thankfully this location was clean, the staff were atttentive, and it was overall a great place for a quick lunch break. I will happily be coming back. read more

LOVE this place! First time I had them was at the original location, but this location is just as good. The staff is always friendly, helpful and do a great job making the food... and filling special requests. Their salads are an amazing deal and always very fresh and flavorful! The original gyros are perfectly balanced with ingredients, and always hot in a soft pita. Those are the only 2 things I have there, I love them so, it's hard to try something different, lol. The taziki sauce is really good, lots of garlic and cucumber, but not overpowering. It's hard to find a good taziki sauce if you ask me. The meat is always hot and cooked perfectly! I've never had mushy tomatoes, I know a weird thing to say, but you know... we all have our quirks, lol. This place does me a solid each and every time. Each time I patronize this restaurant, their food is fresh and well-cooked with friendly service. The interior of the location is adorabely decorated with themed accoutrements such as columns and...you know...Greek stuff. I've been here at least five times and each time the interior has been impeccably clean, including the restroom. When visiting, I routinely get the falafel wrap and my husband the gyro. Unlike many in-and-out Greek restaurants, the falafel has never been that dry, crumbly stuff that makes you feel insulted to be a vegetarian. ("Here. Eat wood.") In the wrap, there is ample amount of thick, "meaty" and moist falafel - so much that I routinely have to remove at least one nugget to get the damn thing in my mouth. The perfect amount of sauce, fresh tomatoes and crisp lettuce- nums. The hubs also speaks highly of the lamb gyro meat, and he has a very discerning palate...as in he only eats American food. Two points Dino's. Regardless of whether I dine in or order take out, the food is prepared and presented within five minutes. For take out, it has always been carefully bagged to ensure that warm food doesn't affect the food best left chilled, and vice versa - a consideration that many fast food restaurants neglect to make. Being a chain restaurant, I can't speak to the authenticity of the recipes. However, the guy who appeared to be the store manager also appeared to be Greek...so that's something. Dino's is located at the end of a strip mall in Coon Rapida. The appearance is clean and it's brightly lit inside with about 20 tables. We've been here a few times over the years. Tonight we got takeout and remembered why we don't go more frcequently. We got the combo and gyro platters. Both were mediocre, at best. The gyro meat was pretty good, but the steak kabob was terribly overcooked to the point of being tasteless with a rock-like consistency. The tomatoes were green and inedible. I know it's January in Minnesota, but these weren't even close to looking like a tomato! On the plus side, we had a BOGO coupon, so the price was right. If we go back, it would just be for a gyro sandwich. read more

Now they have raised the prices on the family pack and there are no sides and no salad. It cost $34 for just the gyros and a side of rice we purchased. A very small side of rice. I would say this place is mediocre. Don't get me wrong, that won't stop me from eating there, however I have had better. (Like the Black Sea (in St. Paul?)) I like the spicy gyro more than the regular. Spicy hit the spot tonight! It's kinda been a more regular stop for me- like 3x in the last month- I have not been impressed with the pita chips and hummus any of those times. I think the pita chips are supposed to be crunchy and there has only been 2-4 crunchy ones in my bag. I'd totally be ok with another pita sliced up and not fried to dip in hummus. The hummus is definitely lacking- I'd almost prefer the hummus from Aldi.... I get it, bring it home and add to it. I'm just not a fan of processed pita bread, I don't know why they don't serve the traditional (easily sourced) authentic pita bread; what you receive is similar to a commercially prepared flat-bread with a strange texture. The hummus is not anything special and generally found that the food is mediocre. There are some great places in the metro that serve authentic Mediterranean food, and this just doesn't meet up to that quality. read more

They are the only ones who have the spicks turning all day and shave off fresh gyro on the spot. 99% of the other places buy the meat, cook on a frying pan then freeze it. I have searched every ware for good gyro, so if anyone knows a better place let me know..... odds are I have already been there and disliked it. When you have lived in Athens you know good gyro.
