This is the first mechanic I've used that charged me to diagnose an issue. They missed the actual problem and I had to have it towed a second time. I took the vehicle to another shop in Livingston. So I'm out $287 in towing, $125 in charges, another $360 for a second towing and $200 for the repair they missed during their $125 dollar diagnostics. Make it make sense. read more

BEWARE !!!! I brought my truck in to have the brakes checked. I thought I got a rock caught because it had been making a noise, I made the appointment on Wednesday for Thursday. By Thursday morning the rock had come loose because the noise was almost gone. I wanted it check it out anyway since I had the appointment. They tried to sell me pads, rotors and calipers for my 2018 Titan with 42K miles. They wanted to charge me $1700 AND make me wait until Monday for parts and repair. I asked them to just put pads on it he refused. I declined the service, drove to Billings had the pads and rotors replaced for $589 and $30 credit card fee, by end of business Friday. Big shout out to Big Sky Auto Diesel and Exhaust for taking good care of me. I didn't need calipers. My family and I were in Yellowstone when we got a flat going down a mountain. We headed over to these guys and worked with Katy. She had us in and out in 20 mins. She even gave my 2 little children some crayons and paper to color with. I think what sets this business apart is the pride in their service. Sean really helped us out. We were travelers with apparently* 2 flat tires (according to the car electronic system) and Sean did his best to get us in so we wouldn't miss our flight. The technician took apart the tires and inspected them thoroughly and were honest to tell us there was indeed no flats! Go figure. Thankful for the honest service. Waiting: there is a lovely waiting area with a bathroom, water, WiFi and free phone chargers. In this gas station there is also a convenience store and 2 food trucks to keep you fed/busy. read more

While visiting Yellowstone my tire got large screw in the middle of it. I had to wait until the moring for an Auto Repair Shop to open. I went there as soon as it opened at 8 am and they took me in right away and said they would be ready in about an hour and we're. Vey friendly and courteous staff . The best shop we've ever experienced. We had a mysterious oil leak just outside Yellowstone in our '94 GMC camper van and called Dino Lube around 3:30PM. Katie got one of her techs to check out the van before closing time. It was a bad wheel bearing and they let us camp the night in our van -- even let us hook up to a power outlet! The van also needed a new half shaft, and they were so helpful, kind, honest, and sympathetic, and worked so hard to get us back on the road as soon as possible. They don't just do flat tires! At the end of a 10k mile road trip, we were leaving to go home to Seattle (700 miles) and our transmission failed. We coasted in to Dino Lube and the team was incredible. They were packed with cars, but Katy (owner) asked what our situation was and she kicked it in to high-gear to get us back on the road! Her team were in our vehicle, diagnosing the problem in less than an hour. Before lunch, Katy found a warrantied, rebuilt transmission that would be delivered in 2 days. They helped is find a place to stay and a car to rent while we waited. The mechanics were all knowledgable and professional. Dillon worked on removing the old transmission and flushing the system even before the new one arrived. I'm pretty sure our van was the only thing he worked on for the whole day. From breakdown to back on the road with a new transmission took 3 work days! (If we'd broken down in Seattle, the van would be in the shop for a couple of weeks!) Terrible customer service to locals! I stopped by to have them check my flat tire, and they told me they couldn't get me in and that I needed to get an appointment. I'm only a 22 yr old girl, and I had to pull over on the side of the road to change the tire and eventually made my way into Livingston, where All Service Tire took me in right away. Terrible experience at this auto repair shop. My Ford F-150 needed a brake job while I was vacationing in Yellowstone. This shop is very close to the north entrance so I brought my car in on a Wednesday. They were very nice. They gave me an estimate and told me I could return the next day so they could order the parts. The next day I drove 2 hours from my camp site in Yellowstone for the repairs. My plan was to wait in town while they fixed my truck. I arrived on Thursday only to be told the parts had not been ordered. Apparently the NAPA website was down and the shop had not bothered to verify my order. My only recourse was to wait another 24 hours and hope they received the parts on Friday. This would have severely impacted my travel plans and cost me another 4 hours of travel time. Unsatisfactory service! I would not use this shop unless absolutely necessary. read more

What a great place! Had a head light bulb replaced. Drove in to town, called to check that they could do the work. Done the next morning in under an hour. Convenient to our sweet hotel, Park Hotel. I had an airbag arm valve control for the rear suspension come off my 2016 Entegra Coach coming through Yellowstone and I called these guys explained what I needed and of course that part is only available through special order. Our transmission blew up in the middle of Yellowstone NP. The fabulous tow driver recommended - instead of a bigger town - to tow us to tiny Gardiner Montana. He worked with the techs and said they are well skilled. Since we have a cab-over camper on our broken truck, they let us camp in the parking lot. These guys are friendly, hard workers - they hold good customer service as high a value as excellent mechanical skill. A hellacious screeching sound started emanating from the car while we were driving through the park. We had no idea what was wrong, so we pulled into Dino Lube and the mechanic stopped what he was doing immediately to take the wheel off and pull out a rock. This is a situation where we were really vulnerable to being ripped off and we were treated super well and fair. The whole thing took less than 5 min and we were back on the road. My wife and I were driving down to Gardiner for dinner and our front wheel started making a loud screeching sound. It became unbearable and we were concerned about losing the wheel and having an accident. We made it into town about 5:05 PM on this Friday. I rolled into a bay that just opened up as we drove up, desperately looking for a repair shop. I was greeted with a smile and was instantly helped by one of the mechanics. We went to test drive the car and instantly knew what the problem was. He pulled off the wheel and began to use a small file to remove a pebble lodged in the brake assembly. We were so impressed and relieved that they were able to fix our car with less than a half hour within closing. It took the guy more time to test drive the car than to do the work. He let us know that the issue we experienced was common place. He said, "We get 3 of these a week, at least." They were honest, easy going, and kind. I was glad we tipped the young mechanic for his act of kindness. If you need to get repairs in Gardiner, if you live in town or if you're a tourist like we were, this is the trusted repair shop in town. They saved our vacation and our sanity. Drove into town with a loose pulley in my 4runner, with an additional 3,000 mile drive I figured i would get it fixed.
