I had the chance to use the facilities at this marina a week ago and was impressed as i have previously only used County marinas. We were invited as guests on a boat from a marina patron and the bathrooms were clean, large and air conditioned!! They have an ice machine on site and plenty of parking. I will return! read more

I love coming here for walk by the water. It's the classic Miami vibe like you see in movies. The area is very calm, peaceful, and clean. You can watch the boats take off or even book a boat tour yourself. The palm trees are gorgeous and there are restaurants and cafes nearby. read more

I don't have a boat, but I love walking around the marina. It's a great place to have a picnic, you get amazing water views. As a local, it's my favorite spot to walk, jog, or scooter along the water. It's also within walking distance of CocoWalk, where all the shops and restaurants are. My only two complaints are the limited parking spots and limited Wi-Fi. read more

Dinner Key Marina is a marina located in downtown historic Coconut Grove and is Florida's largest wet slip marina. Attached to the popular Monty's Raw Bar and Miami's City Hall, formerly the Pan Am terminal building, the central location is the Dinner Key Marina's biggest asset. This is a great place to people watch and check out the boats. I also enjoy watching the boats come in and get docked its a sight to see. While I can't speak for the water sport activities at Dinner Key Marina, I can absolutely speak for the stellar running views this trail provides. If you run from it's starting point after the Bayside park, along the water towards City Hall on Pan American Drive, it's about half a mile. It's really beautiful to take in the bay breeze, and see the boats as you excercise. There are some nice picnic tables, and plenty of benches as well if you wanted to relax and take in mother nature. Of course, there are multiple water activities that you can find here, but I find myself here weekly for a relaxing run. The best hour to enjoy this marina is golden hour - as there is nothing quite like the sunlight reflecting off the water and the boats. There are always plenty of folks around here biking, running, and walking their dogs, too! read more

What a pleasant escape within such a busy city that never sleeps! Peacefully surrounded by water and boats and quiet. Tons of chairs and benches surrounding the boats so you can just sit, alone or with a partner, in total serenity. We didn't stay long enough to watch the sunset but I'm sure it's morning short of breathtaking. There's so much greenery, the place is the perfect picnic spot. Also, super safe to exercise or run at the marina. Tons of pay-by-phone parking and secluded from the busy Coconut Grove Shops and restaurants. I will definitely be visiting this location as often as I can. read more

Located right smack dab behind Miami City Hall on Dinner Key is one of the finest marinas to be found anywhere. Everything, the docks and facilities, all appears to be in excellent shape and since I have no idea the number of boats docked there, all I can say is that it are a lot. The small islands just off the marina provide a perfect barrier against any waves caused by the winds or passing boat traffic of Key Biscayne rendering it an ideal spot in which to keep a boat. The other better things are that you are within easy walking distance to such restaurants as Scotty's Landing as will as the Chart House, both less than 300 yards away. Then, it is also an easy walk up the small embankment leading right into the heart of Coconut Grove. The downside for those not having a slip is that the marina is very secure and there is no casual walking of the docks unless you are in some way registered. read more

Rude staff. Made reservation and arrived to check in. Woman at desk accused us of lying about our arrival date. Supervisor had to get involved. Decided to take our business elsewhere. It was to be our second year staying in a slip in December. All staff we encountered was downright rude and unwelcoming. Much different than previous year. read more

Ohhhhh I Love this place!! This is my third time here and each time I come I like it more and more. With 9 piers, this marina is so clean and well organized. It has its own parking lot and also for visitors, where I parked for free. I love to walk through out the pier and seat down in one of their many benches while I admire the gorgeous view and breath in pure air. I also enjoy watch all the different boats parked and sailing from here. They have a few stations where companies offer water sports like kayaking. I needed to go to the restroom so I went to the main office to see if they let me use it, they were so kind and gave me the access code to go to the impecable restroom. Thank you for keeping this place so clean and let people like me enjoy our beautiful weather and beaches !! Ohhhhh me encanta este lugar! We use Dinner Key as a home base for at least a month every December & January and ate never disappointed. This year we met Ed and Christian who are just the nicest guys along with Jacko and the others in the office. Super clean facility as well. Very well managed by the City of Miami and close to Fresh Market, downtown Coconut Grove, bars & restaurants & the everbpopukar Shell Lumber (a man's favorite hardware store with everything & anything you need!) This marina is huge, and the amenities aren't sufficient for the number of people. For instance, the bathrooms, showers, and laundry should all be doubled in size. Security is pretty good. Everyone gets a key to their pier so access is somewhat limited. The best thing about DKM is that it is on the edge of Coconut Grove--great restaurants and terrific night life. Had to lower my rating from 3 to 2 stars because DKM is holding up the refund on my key deposit. They say that they've processed it, but my credit card company is holding it up. That is patently false! It may be there credit card processor that has batched the transaction, and therefore it is taking longer. Why lower DKM's rating if the problem is caused by their bank? Because when checking out I asked that my $75 credit be applied to the over $200 in slip fees. "No, we don't do it that way" was the response. It would have been simpler to credit the difference at the time on the next transaction, and would have lowered DKM's transaction fees. It might be innocent ignorance on the part of DKM employees, but they need to change their procedures to improve customer service. read more

The good life on the key! The Dinner Key! Dinner Key Marina seems to get nicer and nicer each time I visit. I have been going down the "grove area" for years, and as a child, remember Monty's well. But Dinner Key was a little off my radar as I did not really know anyone who lived there until my fiancé introduced me to her friend and husband who live, on a boat, on Dinner Key! These folks are just the most wonderful people, and their "neighbors" are great too. The Marina pavilion has recently been updated and modernized, and looks great. We have been on the dock and at said pavilion multiple times for parties and get gatherings of all kinds and love the cool breeze and fresh air. I would be remiss if I did not mention the easy parking for us land lovers too. Very close, nearby lots that, if you are visiting, will have no problem staying in or finding an empty one. I feel that there are a lot of great landings and slips in Miami and south Florida, but there is something a little extra special about Dinner Key. Make some friends out there, go on down. On Friday 06/07/2019, we suffered a very unfortunate incident in the Miami-Dade area. This is our story: Our good friend and boat owner invited us to get to know the Miami Skyline from a new perspective, the ocean. We gladly accepted the offer, and agreed all to meet at the Dinners Key Marina. We got there around 3:00pm, and our friend already had his boat ready in the water. We looked for a parking space of our two other cars, and after a quick search found good spots at the north-west corner of the lot, right next to other already parked cars, without trailers on them. We followed the instructions on the parking sign (parkbyphone), making sure no mistake were made. Under the parkbyphone sign, there is another sign indicating: "VEHICLES AND TRAILERS MEASURING MORE THAN 40 FT. ARE NOT PERMITTED". I emphasize the word AND, since to my knowledge this means that it is either one, the other, or both. Otherwise, it should state: "VEHICLES WITH TRAILERS...". In our case, our SUV is less than 40 feet long. Our parking fee for $20.00 was paid, and very excited we all took off to our new adventure on the ocean..... The views of the city were breathtaking and amazing, and we all enjoyed this perfect afternoon, admiring the views of this city with which we have fallen in love these past years..... At around 8:30pm, we got back to the Marina, discovering that our cars had disappeared!!!! Luckily, at the parking lot a police patrol was present, and immediately helped us out. We searched for any TOW AWAY ZONE SIGNS, but could not find any. The police officers continued to make several calls, and finally, after about 20 minutes, they got with the exact address our two cars were towed to. Meanwhile, we tried to understand what we had done wrong. Searching with the police officers, we found one VERY FADED SIGN, indicating that it is prohibited to park cars without trailers (???!!). As you could understand, this was extremely upsetting for us, since we believed we had done everything right, in paying our parking fees. Where else should we park our cars? Why, if this parking lot is only for vehicles with trailers, aren't there any more signs indicating this? I would have appreciated it a sign under each parkbyphone, stating 'VEHICLES WITH TRAILERS ONLY". Even the helpful police officers, on a very personal note, agreed with us, that it is confusing. We headed over to the tow parking lot, and paid our VERY EXPENSIVE fee of $150.50, and were able to drive back home with our car. I cannot emphasize enough my frustration with this whole incident. We consider ourselves responsible and law obeying citizens, and are careful in following the rules. I have a perfect driving record, and as it states on my driver's license, I am considered a SAFE DRIVER. We truly feel that the signs at the marina are misleading, or at least not very informative. Is it so hard to at least renew a so very discolored and faded sign? Reading them afterwards, we understand we broke the rules and had to pay the consequences of it, but it leaves us with an unjust sense. If you google the satellite image of the marina, one can even see several cars parked without trailers attached to them. Miami-Dade has spoiled us with flexibility and friendliness, but in this case, it has left us with a very bitter taste...... read more

This morning I called Dinner Key Marina to inquire about the boat ramp fees. The lady answered the phone and when I asked her what the fee was her reply was "we have nothing to do with that" and then she hung up on me! How are you the number for the Marina and not have that info or not be able to give me a number where I can find out? Very disappointed after reading great reviews about this place. read more

During all of our years cruising and working as crew on private yachts I have never been treated so shabbily. We went into the mooring field after dark and was able to pick up a mooring without much difficulty but the mooring field has no protection or breakwater and with the wind out of the SW it was a very uncomfortable night. We did sleep because we knew we didn't have to do anchor watches even though it was very rough. In the morning as we were getting ready to leave we found our alternator had failed so we had to find a repair service. We were able to get a slip and proceed with arrangements for a repair. After a few days our ice supply was running low so I called to have 8 bags of ice delivered to the boat. I was told that when the ice company delivered the ice we could get it. I stopped in the office after finishing my laundry and ask if the ice shipment had arrived and was told yes so I ask if I could have 8 bags delivered to Pier 3 Slip 2. No, we don't deliver ice. You will have to bring a cart up and get it for yourself. I was so stunned! If I had not seen at least 4 club cars around the marina all day I could have understood but according to the desk clerk, we do not deliver ice. They have guys pick up the garbage every morning but you can't deliver ice. Customer service should be your main agenda. Dinner Key Marina staff and management you have failed at your job! read more
