When we sought a referral to another healthcare provider, her staff's rudeness was disheartening. They informed us that no referrals were available. Considering the doctor-patient relationship, I had hoped for more consideration and care during this transition. Unfortunately, this move feels more like a money grab; as a result, my family is left in the lurch.

I work at a Hospital for Specialty Surgery where Dr. Karpos performs surgery and was impressed with how well his patients did after surgery. I set up an office appointment to see if he could help me. After x-rays, he informed me that I still had good cushion and my problem was Osteoarthritis. He suggested cortisone/steroid injections. He gave me the injections in his office, done with a freeze/numbing spray so they weren't painful. I did have pain for a couple of days (as he said) but after about 4 wks I was pain free and my knees now feel better than they have in years (as he said). I am now walking more and working on losing weight as he suggested. These injections can be given 3-4 times a year as needed. I am ecstatic with the results and very grateful to Dr. Karpos. I highly recommend him for any ortho issues.

Everyone here is super-nice and respectful. 2. My privacy has been respected. I mean, they keep the door shut when you're buck naked in bed, or having a procedure performed. 3. Everyone is genuinely interested in helping you recover your health so you can get back to your life. Cons: 1. Sometimes when you use the call button to summon some help, they might forget about you. (I'll grant that you might be trying to reach someone when it's super-busy, but this happens more often than I'd like to see. Surely there's a solution to this problem.) 2. The menu is BORING! There are only so many days a person can eat overcooked scrambled eggs and tough turkey sausage. Thankfully, you have a little wiggle room if you can get hold of their "Menu at a Glance" which has a few different options you can request by calling down to the dietary office. 3. I use CPAP therapy, but I was only allowed to use a hospital-approved machine. A very loud hospital-approved machine with a very ill-fitting face mask. I mean, it got the job done, and I didn't suffocate in my sleep, but... That's all I can say about that. All in all, it's been a good stay, if you can forget you're in a hospital. I realize that everyone's experience with TriStar Horizon may differ. We've all heard the horror stories about different facilities. As for my experience, it's been pretty good, no horror stories and only a few minor inconveniences. No major complaints. I'm happy I chose to be treated here. And I recommend them.

He fixed so many issues and I am incredibly gratefu. My nurs, Jessica, is truly the most joyful and encouraging nurse I have ever had! I wish I could have her every time I need a nurse! She was exceptional and a delight and made my wait for surgery much more pleasant. Dr. Thoma, my anesthesiologist, was great. He was very kind and reassuring. I had not been treated by a chiropractor since my former had left TN in 2012. Anyone who has had chiropractic care knows there is an incredible amount of trust required for the patient to relax sufficiently for treatment to be successful. This past July I had neck pain radiating down my right arm along with numbness. My baseline pain was about a 7-8 out of 10 on a 1-10 scale (10 being the worst pain you can imagine - Yes, I'm a nurse :-) ) It was affecting my sleep, ability to function and performance at work. I was worked-in the same day I called by the very compassionate person who answered my call. Every person I've interacted with from my first phone call throughout all subsequent visits has been sincerely compassionate and more than flexible when I've needed to reschedule. Dr. Moore is considerably less aggressive in musculoskeletal manipulation than my previous practitioner, but my results have have been equally effective. My neck pain took a little while to completely resolve but I'm very thankful for the the consistency of his treatments and that he really LISTENED to me making me an active participant in my recovery from this injury. One treatment we tried actually made my pain worse temporarily, but he listened and explained why that had likely occurred, then we redirected my treatment resulting in improvement. I am an RN so I'm not uneducated about the basics of musculoskeletal anatomy, but Dr. Moore focuses on educating his patients above and beyond the mechanics of our bones & joints. He strives to help his patients learn to protect themselves from sudden injury as well reduce the effects of chronic wear & tear due to aging/daily living through nutrition, healthy body mass, and activities which keep us mobile, flexible, strong & improve cardiovascular health. So 2 Sundays ago I tripped and broke my nose. I am a klultz…read more I went to the ER at St. Thomas West (my home away from home) and they took care of me. And they referred me to Dr. Sauvageau to check out my broken nose. I thought about getting a referral. I thought about getting a second opinion. But I didn't and immediately (the next Monday) secured an appointment with Dr. Sauvageau. Smartest move I ever made From the way I was greeting in the lobby to Brandy asking me in-take questions, I felt at home. And then I got to meet Dr. S. who advised me of the need for a 'nose job'. Again, I could have deferred and obtained referrals and/or a second opinion. But I felt comfortable with Dr. Sauvageau. I felt a connection. I dug his style. So a week later (allowing for me to 'be off' my blood thinner medication), I had the surgery and it went as well as one could hope for. And then, the icing on the ice....the tops of the pops....the super star of superstars......I came into the office to have some inserted plastic nose thingies taken out and I dealt with Madison. She was great, kind, empathetic, funny, communicative, engaging and just a nice person. I felt very comfortable and I knew I was in good hands with Madison. I had a great experience and thestaff goes above and beyond. I am an Entertainment Lawyer and the most important part of my business is connecting with people, gaining their trust and confidence and making them feel comfortable.
