I took my car for repair after my rubbish reversing left it damaged. I was greeted by a very nice woman who got one of the staff to look at it straight away. I was contacted the following day with an estimate that i was pleased with. A date was arranged and I left it with them. I was called later in the day to let me know it was ready. Remember the ice age we went through at the start of this year? Well my car was not happy! I got up one morning to go to work and my car wouldn't start - gutted. I phoned Dingwall Autos who said they would pick up my car free of charge and replace the battery for £50 (including my NHS discount!), this was a bargain compared to Halfords who wanted a bank-breaking £85 just to buy a battery! I booked my beloved car in straight away. I had a few phone calls throughout the day saying that they had misquoted me, I needed a different battery which would cost £65. I was annoyed but it was still cheaper than Halfords so I went along with. I got a call at half four saying I could go pick it up - wahoo! I walk to work and the receptionist told me that the car still wasn't starting so they thought I had a faulty starter motor and the car would have to stay. I was thoroughly annoyed by now and made my way home. The next day I get a call saying that I do have a lazy starter motor, but the problem was that the battery they had ordered and fitted was faulty. A new was one fitted and problem solved!
