Bicycle Shop May Be Too Good…read more I live in St Louis Missouri and looked all over the internet to find a Raleigh International steel bike in my size as it was somewhat of a rare bike. Tom had the frame in my size and asked me what components I wanted on the bike. He custom built this bike including custom built wheels. The bike has exceeded any expectation I have ever had. Most importantly, I drove down to pick the bike up in January of 2012, have put several thousand miles on the bike and it still has not required any adjustments whatsover. Shifts and brakes beautifully, wheels still true. I have replaced tires and cleaned and re-oiled the chain a few times. Tom thank you so much. May be calling for another bike soon as I promised my son this bike if he got in and attended a certain University. Will be sad to part with it.

They are sooo much fun, you feel like you are flying. I thought they would be intimidating but they really are amazing. It was about $20 for a 1 hour rental of an electric bike. I would consider doing a 1/2 day rental next time. 1 hr. goes by surprisingly fast. We took them over the bridge and towards Falls of the Ohio. There is a coupon online for $5 off you can try to search for. It worked for us. The employee working the stand was super nice and helpful. Good customer service really sets the tone and just being friendly makes a world of difference for any experience. I wish everyone in any front facing service position realized what an impact being nice has.

Cost was 27 bucks For an hour. Bike was in decent shape and wasn't too rigorous to ride. The waterfront park is mainly flat lands so that helped a lot. Since it has a covered top you can not take over the big 4 bridge. They take your drivers license up front and you pay at the end of your time. Rental is for an hour but the worker did tell me they will give a 10-15 min leeway usually.

The bill was over $500 for tuneups and new tires. I later realized that they do no work at this location, sending the bikes to another location for the work which took at least two weeks. When we arrived the person, Trey with whom we had dealt was on the phone. A young lady with a very pretty dog asked me if she could help me. I told her my name is Reiter and we were picking up our two bikes. She asked me again what my name was and I told her again, they she aske me again why we were there so I told her again. I notices that she did not seem to understand me, and I did not know why. When she asked me the third time what my name was I told her again more loudly as I feared she might be hearing impaired just as I am. She took offense saying there was no need to yell at her. I told her I was afraid she did not hear me as she asked my name three times. She accused me of being very rude. At this point, Trey got off the phone and I turned to him to conclude our business and leave with our bikes before things got out of hand. I told the young lady that if I had offended her I was sorry and she started in again about how rude I was. At this point, I paid up and we just got our of there, never to return. I can not comment on the other locations but I can not recommend the Jeffersonville location of The Bicycle Station. We have the two road bikes and two E-Bikes which we will be taking elsewhere for service and reapairs.

I purchased a used $2,000 SL e-bike, only to find out AFTER paying that they did not have a charger. It would take a few days to arrive. A week later I had to follow up and ask about it. I was told it would would be here the next day. I visited the store and they didn't have it and did not call to let me know. It ended up taking over two weeks to receive. Once I finally charged the bike and was able to ride it, I discovered it lacked the hill-climbing capabilities I was explicitly promised, despite explaining I needed to haul a kid trailer around my hilly neighborhood. I had them confirm 2-3 separate times the bike was good up hills. The SL model, which stands for "super light," unfortunately has reduced power and isn't suited for hills, much less with a trailer. This left me with a $2,000 bike that's unrideable. I requested an exchange for a more capable bike, even offering to pay the difference. It took over a week for a response. They offered to buy it back for a mere $1,200. Additionally, the bike I hoped to exchange it for was no longer on sale. I believe in supporting local bike shops, but find one that will treat you better.
