Best threading place that I've found in Bucks County/Philly. I'm originally from Florida so I have been looking for the right spot I have tried a couple places downtown, in KOP mall, and willow grove mall but this place gave me the best results. Dipa did an amazing job with my eyebrows and fixed the shape! Paid $55 for full face threading, but she didn't thread my forehead or chin (my eyebrows were already done prior to coming in), the places that were threaded had many patches left even after I told her to do go over it. Thankfully I know how to thread myself so I went home and re did it all. However I shouldn't have had to pay so much since half my face wasn't even attempted to be threaded. I have been coming here for at least a year now, and I absolutely love it! I originally used to get my eyebrows waxed at Gary Charles, and I hated how they would only touch up my eyebrows, they would still look thick, despite my many pleads to have them thin it out. Once I was put on acne medication, I was told that waxing would be bad for my skin (as it would take the 1st layer off), and I decided to research different methods (as I did not like the idea of having to pluck my eyebrows). I noticed Dimple Threading Salon, as I pass Huntingdon Pike all the time, and I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. Dimple is so sweet, and does such an amazing job on my eyebrows. I have received so many compliments about how they're done, and have recommended her salon to my friends multiple times. She also puts the toner on my eyebrows which I like, because in the past, other places I went to did not do that and my eyebrows would feel so irritated. I also like that I can schedule an appointment for 3-4 weeks right there, rather than having to call up every time. Finally, she has an eyebrow card where every 6th eyebrow threading is free! If I could give Dimple 10 stars I would! I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for 3 years now, ever since my skin started having a reaction to waxing. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed since I was 12; naturally my eyebrows can grow to be oscar-the-grouch-esqe. I prefer threading to waxing for the shaping and lack of skin irritation. That being said, I'd been going to Shanti med spa in Ardmore faithfully for 3 years and found myself flabbergasted, heartbroken and downright depressed when they closed. I carefully combed yelp for a trusty place and once again, this community came through! I was nervous to trust Dimple with my unruly brows but she mastered them just as well, if not better, than my beloved previous threader. I'm so relieved to have found Dimple! Dimple is kind, courteous and talented! She took the time to do one brow, show me and make sure it was the way I wanted to look, before proceeding. After, she put a toner on my brows that significantly minimized the redness and swelling I had thought to be normal after getting brows threaded. The salon itself is relaxing and clean with great access to easy parking. I didn't experience a problem with waiting time, though I did make an appointment. I will wait any amount of time here. Dimple listens well and never takes too much off. She has given them a better shape over the months as well. I don't even touch them anymore, I just let her do them for me every 3 to 4 weeks or so. I've been going to Dimple since I first moved to Philadelphia 4 years ago. I was with her when she was only out in Center City and now that she's in the burbs, I make sure to only see her when I'm out here. Truth is, she's the only person I trust with my eyebrows...she gets them right every single time. She's pleasant, professional, and her business is clean and welcoming. I'm a bit weary about too many people finding out she's out here because I'm way too comfortable with just dropping in. But if her clientele balloons, she certainly deserves it. Her prices are comparable to what you'd find in other parts of this area. Helpful Tip: She takes credit cards but you can't add tips on there so bring along some cash! read more

I love this place. It's pristinely clean on the inside. Very cozy and minimalistic. Even the music is soothing and inviting. I love Dimple herself. She is very polite, always listens carefully to requests. Overall I really trust her. She never just goes overboard like some other waxers do. If I ask her to keep my shape and just clean it up, that is exactly what she does. I recently made a very short notice appointment with another threader, unfortunately I do not remember her name. Would give this zero stars if I could. Had never tried threading before but had heard it is gentler to the skin than waxing. Went on a Thursday, the lady was real friendly and the service was certainly less painful than waxing (and cheaper too). However the next day I noticed the area just above my eyes was red and there were these red sores above my eye and upper lip. It is now sunday, three days later and the area hasnt healed yet. I never had any sores or inflamed areas with waxing so I believe that this threading is harsher to the skin. I dont know if the issue is this places technique or threading in general but i am done with threading and sticking with tried and true waxing from now on. read more

Dimple does a wonderful job shaping eyebrows. The salon is immaculate, and very nice decor. There is always cool music playing in the waiting area, and I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment. I also get waxing done here. I love the different lotions and potions she uses before and after the service. I think they are Aveda. They smell so good and also are very soothing. My only negative is that Dimple is pretty rough when she holds my skin taut for waxing. She says she has to be, but I've had waxes that were just as thorough without the extreme pressure she uses. That said, she IS thorough. I also appreciate the usage of different waxes depending on the area. She's got at least 8 different ones. OH she will also wax your toes. Which always makes me laugh because I never notice my toes being hairy but if they are I'm glad she takes care of it. I recommend them. read more

I have been to a few waxing and threading salons since i moved to Philly and i have to say that this has been the best one so far! I love it because it is the only place where i can get both waxing and threading done in the same place. They are also very reasonable. Dimple makes sure that you are comfortable and that the wax is not too hot - I have had an experience where i was burned by hot wax at another salon so this impressed me. I am a little sad that they are a little far from where I live but they are well worth the drive! read more

I only go to Dimple for my brows. She keeps them thick like I like them, she also keeps my natural arch as well. Threading hurts for me, but it's because I have sensitive skin. No more irratation from wax. I do realize its more costly than waxing but for a job well done, and shaping done right I don't mind. I find the whole atmosphere so nice! read more

My first threading experience. It was...interesting. Felt like tiny needles but definitely not as ouchy as plucking or waxing. The upside- my brows look amazing! After getting my eyebrows threaded at Dimples for several months I learned that they were now offering waxing services. Since they do such a great job threading I figured sure why not. DO NOT DO IT. I bought the Groupon for the Brazilian wax and set up my appointment last April 2012. She started waxing inside my bikini line first ( which I thought was odd ) and when I requested that she waxed the actual bikini line itself she refused and said that it was not included/ she would need to charge me extra to have that waxed. It is common knowledge that the bikini line is included in the Brazilian. I turned her down and just thought I would take care of the bikini line myself at home. Not only did she not use the hard wax that I requested several times , the wax was extremely hot and burned my nether regions. When I told her that the wax was scorching, she put a fan in between my legs to cool it down. She missed several spots and went over the spots with the soft wax which every girl knows is a huge No-No and tore sheets of skin off. At the end of the wax, I was horrified at how bad I looked and how much pain I was in. I was unable to wear any type of underwear for multiple days and couldn't wear any semi- fitted pants. It took about two weeks for everything to heal. I couldn't stand, sit, sleep , move, let alone do any normal activity without being in pain. I was not going to write this review because I figured that this was just poor waxing skills and voiced my complaints hoping that the salon would get a certified wax professional in there to take over. The waxing was so awful it just seems like I was her first client and she learned how to wax via a You tube video. However, when I recently saw another Groupon for the Brazilian waxing - I wanted to make sure women knew what they were walking in to. Hopefully Dimples has improved majorly but I have not returned for a wax let alone for the threading due to this horrible experience. Go for their threading but please, please, please for the sake of your vagina - stay away from their waxing. read more
