First of all, it was about 10-15 degrees cooler!! It was a surprisingly cool step back in time. See an old jail (with the an original door) the old school house, teepees, a stage coach, there was a blacksmith doing demos And they had a bathroom. Cleanliness of the entire facility is 10/10 and the staff is very friendly and patient. There are lots of interactive displays, and a plethora of history about various topics! There is also a dedicated kids area and café on the first floor. Upstairs you can sit in for a movie in the planetarium, and explore more aviation/space/science based. It's also inspiring to watch the live scientists work in an actual, functioning, lab! There's a plane simulation, and video interviews with military aviation specialists that you can sit and watch. We've been there 4 times, it's always a great way to spend an afternoon!

Some fun little things: feeding koi fish on the path, some benches in the shade to eat a snack while walking, two large playgrounds with many picnic tables and a museum to look more facts about dinosaurs. I do wish they would tell us more about the dinosaur prints found in dinosaur state valley park. Many dinosaurs here were found in Canada, Asia, Europe, or Africa. Only a few were around here. I did love to learn about the only one found in a cow farm in Kansas! Overall, it was a great trip, and I would recommend to any dinosaur fans! If you come on a day, 80+ degrees, it will be hot, so bring lots of water, hats, sunscreen, fans, and cool clothes. There is some shade on the trail to get some relief. There is a changing table in the bathrooms with 4 stalls, so it's not too long of a wait when lines form.

She made sure our experience was a great one. She was very efficient in checking us in and made sure things that were unused stayed picked up. They have a tarantula and asked if we wanted her to bring him out to show the kids and was very patient is showing him to us and answering all of our questions. As far as the play place- cute and lots of pretend play so it's good for my younger kids but I probably wouldn't bring my 7 year old. They had lots of activities set up at the tables-ramen sorting, tooth brushing, arts, and crafts/slime (available for purchase). We'll be back soon and hope that we see the gem of an employee, Ruby.

There were some mixed reviews, so we weren't sure we would enjoy it... but we did! You get about an hour, and that is the perfect amount of time to explore the place. It's based on a comic, and the artist(s?) are trying to make it as if you were inside one!!! Sure it's small, but there are lots of funny photo oops, props, and secrets to explore. Some people just happen upon the secrets, and some follow the story and discover the answers like my hubby did. Good for couples and people with small kids!!! As soon as the doors are opened to the museum area, you are literally dumbfounded with how much beautiful memorabilia they have. I didn't know what I was going to expect. They go above and beyond with how clean, organized, thorough, and well presented this establishment is. The building itself is small. So I did not think it would be that great. But it took us literally three hours to get through it and we still didn't get to see everything that they had. We are so impressed and we tell everyone about it. It's definitely something you need to experience. My grandmother was speechless.

This is a nice little museum of gone with the wind memorabilia and a few pieces from the actual movie. The lady at the ticket booth was incredibly nice and since we were the only visitors that day she spent some time with us telling us everything about recent pieces and history of the place. There's an unbelievable amount of dolls... so many dolls! And very interesting souvenirs issued after the movie. Overall, good place to spend an hour or two with someone who really loved the movie
